Sorry my guy, but your game looks bad. We get like 10-20 games a week that look better than this. Not to say you won't do great things in the future, but for now it makes perfect sense why Nintendo rejected you.
Haha, are you kidding me, it's not even in 3D. What an obvious, low effort cash in. I still have the Wii version and found it tremendously dull, anyway
@Nomad Retro hasn't been doing anything, aside from hemorrhaging employees and trying to right the ship. They are struggling, and may have been tasked with projects that got canned, and Nintendo is trying to hide this from the public
How about they apologize for the frame rate stutters, which are completely unacceptable in such a simple game. Also, some of the step motions are tough to register properly.
I mean, I'm probably going to be a sucker and get this, but Gold's Gym on the Wii seems far superior. Having a 20-song track list is pitiful, especially considering that the songs are really crappy instrumental versions of the actual songs. I enjoyed the demo, but $50 is just silly. I guess there's a $30 QoL tax.
@eripmav. Why would you let a reviewer have an "old" version of the game to review? Your post implies that it's their fault for not playing an updated version?
This is quite a solid game. I have a few complaints...characters don't offer enough differences in the way they play, levels need more stationary baddies (like turrets on walls) and environmental hazards, bullets are too pattern-based and bullet-hell-y. But overall I am pleased. Definitely a 7 or an 8.
This is such a weird game. It feels like a mobile game that was completely designed around iap's but at some point they decided not to do it while leaving the pay -to-win stuff in the game as freebies. And the cool down timers were shortened so much they may as well not be there, making the puzzle sections pretty much pointless since you can spam bombs.
@smyr Fair enough. I didn't know it was THAT different. I see the Steam version has dropped to $13.99 before....at that price I'll buy the Switch version.
@insertcoin2play It's pretty clear that the main inspiration is Top Gear. They even got the same guy to do the music. Critics/reviewers/plebs just say it's like Outrun because more people have played Outrun and understand the basics of how it works.
Look guys...I get that they added modes, and you can now use buttons, but $19.99 is a bit too high when the iOS version is $2.99. Is the iOS version priced too low? YES, but that's not my problem. My problem is jacking up the price 230%
Yes, devs gotta eat, and it's a great game, but $10 would be a lot more palatable
I gotta disagree with the praise for this game. The controls are great, and it looks nice, and the music is pretty good (though it can get annoying), and the boss fights are cool, but the regular level design is substandard and pedestrian. Nowhere near the cleverness of a game like Shovel Knight, which has interesting stuff going on in nearly every screen.
Well, congratulations, devs. You've crafted the ugliest game icon on the eShop. Gameplay videos also make the game look incomprehensible but hey, apparently it's a 7/10 so not too shabby.

They have head - bobbing options so you should be able to tune it to avoid motion sickness
Re: Feature: 7Levels On Jet Kave Adventure And Its Donkey Kong Country Inspiration
Castle of heart was garbage, so hopefully they learned from that
Re: Retro Shooter Jamestown+ Lands On Nintendo Switch Later This Year
Hooray, always wanted this
Re: Nintendo Download: 11th July (North America)
This is a fantastic week. Dragon quest builders 2, blazing chrome, ziggurat, super mutant alien assault, streets of rogue, psyvariar delta...
Re: Nintendo Download: 11th July (North America)
@nintendolie
Luckily you can zoom in on the screen now

Re: Review: Gato Roboto - A Charming Metroidvania Which We Wish Hung Around Longer
I figured it'd be short, considering the price. Seems fair to me
Re: This Game Boy Color Watch Is Effortlessly Cool, And Pre-Orders Have Just Gone Live
Looks bad, man. I'd get it if I could play Tetris on it though

@ShinyUmbreon
"We're going to say it, Detective Pikachu may well be the first properly good video game film the industry has ever churned out."
Re: Xenon Racer Returns For Another Lap With Version 1.04 Now Available
Haha, this is a $10 mobile game masquerading as a $50 premium title. Hope few fall for it.
Re: Movie Review: Pokémon Detective Pikachu Does Enough To Break The 'Bad Video Game Movie' Curse
There's already been a great video game movie. It's called Warcraft.
Re: Review: Table Top Racing: World Tour - Nitro Edition - A Likeable Racer, But Beware The Switch Tax
Meh. Game is bland and dull. Not worth it at any price, imo.
Re: Nintendo Download: 25th April (North America)
Lot more garbage than usual.
When will the Zelda update hit? That's all I need for now.
Re: One Of Retro Gaming's Most Collectable Shmups Is Getting A Cheap Reprint
Decent shmup but the <$10 virtual console version is enough for me
Re: Review: Nuclear Throne - Fans Of Enter The Gungeon Should Check This One Out
The visuals are pretty rough, but assuming the switch version doesn't crash like the never - fixed Vita version, it's an easy 8.

lol that pop in though
Re: Feature: The Best 3D Platformers On Nintendo Switch

@iLikeUrAttitude probably because it's true
Re: New Nintendo Labo Kit Introduces VR Gaming On Switch This April
Haha good joke, guys.
Re: N64 Classics Turok And Turok 2 Are Headed To Nintendo Switch
@Gerbwmu
I could never get over the wretched framerate in Turok 2. Even back in the 90's it was awful; I assume the re-release will remedy that.
I always loved part one, but no it hasn't aged very well. Not paying $20, that's for sure. $5 and we'll talk

Fascinating. This should be a horror movie soundtrack.
Re: Reggie: Nintendo Would "Love" Red Dead Redemption 2 On Switch
Mah Main Man Reg how about we get Red Dead 1 with some QoL improvements first. Then we can melt down our Switches with a 15 fps downgraded RD2 later.

Haha, Sony, who picked these games. I see 5 games I'd play. Meanwhile they go on to list like 30 games I'd rather play in the article.

F me, I thought it was pronounced Tate (like ate) but now that I know it's tah-tay we hates it, precious
Re: Review: Rival Megagun - A Unique Competitive Shmup That Is Perfectly At Home On Switch
I hate hearing people say 'shmup,' but reading it doesn't bother me. I wish everyone could just agree to say shoot-em-up.
Re: Reminder: ARK: Survival Evolved Launches Today On Switch, Here's A Trailer To Celebrate
@2legit2quit It’s near the top of the new release page. The icon doesn’t have the name of the game, though. Not very smart
Re: Review: Horizon Chase Turbo - A Worthy Successor To Sega's Out Run
@belfastgonzo yeah my bad, I failed at math.
I sucked it up and bought the game anyway. It is awesome. Better than the iOS version, which was already grand.

@scully1888 hopefully your editor wrote the garbage headline, then
