It looks like the assets are updated more than the ones in Onett are.
I still hope there's a chance we can get past stages that didn't make an appearance in Brawl. If they're too difficult to get now then they'll be impossible come the next Smash game and we'll never see a return of Hyrule Castle or Fourside to the series.
Castlevania fans are funny. So far in these comments I've heard that SCIV is garbage, Rondo is garbage, and Dracula X is garbage. Just waiting for someone to say SOTN is garbage next.
It's like you want to argue this series only has one good game in it or something.
Anyway, go easy on the reviewer. It's not like it's as bad as the Double Dragon II review.
I expect better from NL than headlines like this. The tweet confirms nothing; the guy clearly doesn't know if it will release here or not. Why are you putting words in his mouth?
We could get Mega Man 8 and X4 Saturn if Sega would add more systems to the VC. Since the 360 could handle NiGHTS, Radiant Silvergun, and Guardian Heroes, I see no reason why the Wii U can't.
It would be nice to have re-releases of Mega Man 9 and 10, too.
I wasn't aware McDonalds invented the hamburger. I'm glad I came to this discussion to witness such an amazing discovery.
In other news it seems nobody remembers why the video game market originally crashed. If you think it won't ever happen again, then there's not much discussion to be had. When we get to the level of comparing re-skins to games in similar genres as if Radiant Silvergun is a ripoff of R-Type, it's clear the discussion is going nowhere.
What's going on with Disney and Capcom and why has there been no new Disney/Capcom game announced? That seems like a question that someone who has actual contacts should ask.
At this point I have so many coins that I just get whatever they offer. Free coins and sometimes points for the deluxe offer is better than just letting them sit and eventually expire.
That said, unless they offer ALL their games (they've still never offered Yoshi Story, for example, which is a game I'd never pay for) I'm eventually going to run out of games to waste my coins on.
This was a great game. It's a bit harder than the first two, but still pretty fun. The bosses get pretty easy after you master them, too. Replays give you many ways to play it from different bosses and hidden items to even a slightly different ending. I really like this one.
@6ch6ris6 With Castlevania 2 Game Boy, Contra NES, and the Turbografx games sitting on a shelf somewhere. Konami isn't exactly known for tremendous support of the VC.
And now we're pretending Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is actually balanced. Amazing.
How about we stop these anti-casual anti-competitive attitudes and, like, discuss the series instead? You know, the games themselves instead of trying to make the other side seem stupid?
Super Mario Bros. 3 is also better than most N64 games. The fact of the matter is the NES has a far bigger selection of good games than the less than 20 N64 games the VC will ever see.
I'm still waiting for Mega Man 7. No idea why they're holding back on that one.
@grumblebuzzz NES library >>>>>>>>>>>> N64 library
Unless they get third parties aboard you'll be lucky to even get 20 games on the service, not to mention "classics" like Yoshi's Story. I'd rather have the Genesis first.
@speedyboris Yeah, that part was really difficult. Supreme difficulty is incredibly difficult as it is, but those instant death pits are tough on any difficulty.
@Mitsuko_Chan You might as well just read the old Wii VC reviews instead. They were frequently much more on the nose. The newer ones haven't been as strong as those.
The arcade version of this game is not good. Has anybody ever played it other than me? It's loaded with slowdown and the level design is copy-pasted from the first arcade game. What, pray-tell, does it actually do better than this game except have a more dated art-style? Seriously, I've never heard a proper reason from people who keep propping up the overrated arcade game.
Will never understand the hate this version receives. It does everything better than the arcade version except have flashier graphics. Or are we still in the mentality that the arcade version was always better than the console version? I would have thought Jackal, Trojan, and Bionic Commando would show people that superior gameplay and level design beats graphics every time.
Glad to see everyone here except @River3636 and his over-dramatic hate agrees. It's still a fun game nowadays.

Re: Feature: The Making of Rocket: Robot on Wheels
Crash Team Racing is better than Mario Kart 64, true.
I've always wanted to play this game. It's a real shame it'll never end up on the VC. There are too many N64 games that will never see a re-release.
Re: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U to Feature Grab the Coins Mode, Temple Stage May Return

Re: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Amazon Listing Says a Stage Creator is Coming
If the stage creator is good enough for me to create the Smash 64 stages, I'm good.
This is a great leak. Hopefully it's hinting at a new Smash Direct and soon.

Re: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
@Ryno is right. Classic Castlevania action here.
Re: Rare Donkey Kong Delights to Grace the Wii U and 3DS
Awesome. Hopefully the GBA versions will be put up eventually. I do like the GBA version of DKC3 quite a bit.
Re: Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow to Complete GBA Trilogy on Wii U Virtual Console
Now Rondo of Blood and Bloodlines to finish off the Classicvania titles, please.
Re: Koei Tecmo Europe All But Confirms Fatal Frame Wii U As Japan-Only

Re: Review: Mega Man 7 (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
@shonenjump86 It's still there.
This game is great. After 2, 3, and 9, this is my favorite in the classic series.

Re: Mega Man 7 Storms onto North American Wii U eShop
Excellent game. The most underrated in the series.
Re: Impending Japanese Launch Of Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS Brings New Character Reveals
Losing Lucas and Wolf for Dr Mario and Dark Pit is really lame. Also the lack of Ice Climbers is a heavy blow.
It's a good roster, I just hope there's DLC because the roster screen really doesn't look right.
Re: From the Forum: To Buy or Not to Buy? SPIKEY WALLS Fires Debate as Developer Defends Project
The original video game crash was caused because the market was flooded with awful games that drowned out the good ones.
So things are different now because the games are $0.99 instead of full price despite flooding the market in the exact same way?
I'm not sure I'm following this.

Not a bad review, I just don't agree with it.

Re: North American Club Nintendo Replenishes Its Physical Reward Stock
Boy, the NA Club Nintendo rewards have been garbage for a long time now. Why can't we seem to get anything new?
Re: Nintendo Confirms Three More Virtual Console Treats That Are Coming Soon
Adventure Island and Wild Guns will make for good updates. I do hope we actually get the other NES Adventure Island games this time.
Re: Feature: The History of Super Smash Bros.
@Senario Yeah, probs. I apologize. I guess I just wasn't haven't a very good day.
Re: Video: Something Overshadows this Sonic Boom 3DS Trailer
This does look pretty good.
Re: Nintendo's Unity Presentation Confirms Critically Acclaimed Gone Home for Wii U eShop
@DefHalan Or maybe they didn't like the game itself.
Crazy thought, I know.
Re: Feature: The History of Super Smash Bros.
@Dr_Corndog Because this is the first and only Smash Bros. discussion ever on this site.
If you can go through one of these topics that doesn't devolve into an argument between both sides, then I would be rather surprised.
Re: Feature: The History of Super Smash Bros.
@Senario No, you just have to keep derailing the topic to point it out over and over. Who cares?
All the MvC games are horribly unbalanced. There is no objective "best" one.
Re: Nintendo's Unity Presentation Confirms Critically Acclaimed Gone Home for Wii U eShop
lol.
No thanks. I'll go read a good book instead.

Smash 64 is still my favorite.

Re: Nintendo Download: 28th August (North America)
@BearHunger No, just get it. MMX3 is a great game that gets pointless hate.
Besides, NL will probably give it a 2/10 and recommend the PSX version because.

Re: Talking Point: Mario Kart 8's Diverse DLC Sets Up Endless Potential for the Franchise
This is how DLC should be. Man, Nintendo really seems to get DLC. If only more companies would get behind this kind of content.
Here's hoping Smash Bros. get similar treatment.

Re: Review: Double Dragon II: The Revenge (Wii U eShop / NES)
@Ryno The same controls, less levels, dated 80s artstyle, massive slowdown, AND no final boss! Wow!
Sign me up!
Re: Review: Double Dragon II: The Revenge (Wii U eShop / NES)
@Ryno Yeah, I always liked @Corbs reviews the best.
I still don't understand some of the hate this game gets compared to the arcade version. Graphics aside, it does everything worse than this version.

Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt Blasts Onto 3DS eShop on 29th August
@Giygas_95 True, but those were Metroidvanias, so I don't rank them the same way. When it comes to stage-based gameplay, they're one of the best.
Re: Feature: HD Remasters That Would Be Perfect for Wii U
I want third party compilations like Viewtiful Joe 1 + 2 and Super Monkey Ball 1 + 2.
How did you guys forget Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door? That would be a day one buy for anyone here.
Re: Review: Xtreme Sports (3DS eShop / Game Boy Color)
@Bass_X0 Sooken as someone who has never played NBA Jam. Arcade sport games are an excellent genre.
Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt Blasts Onto 3DS eShop on 29th August
An action platformer made by Inti-Creates is always a day one buy.
Mega Man Zero 1-4, and Mega Man 9 alone will always assure that.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Passes One Million US Sales as Wii U Shows Improved Momentum
A Link Between Worlds is the best game on the 3DS. It should be selling way more. Good for Dark Moon, though.
Re: Video: Flying Carpet Level in Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is Weaving Together Nicely
Cool, that was the last stretch goal I was hoping for them to hit. Now to wait for the game.
Re: Feature: Kickstarter's Wii U and 3DS Campaigns - 13th August
@MrV4ltor Does this mean the game will have crash bugs and never release in Europe now?
Re: The Console Wars Live On As Night Trap Remake Team Holds a Grudge Against Nintendo
This game was garbage 20 years ago. Safe to say it'll be garbage now.
Re: Sega Announces Chopper Action Title Thunder Blade As Its Latest 3DS Classic
Good choice, but how about some Geneses and Master System games now? Sonic 2, Ristar, Ranger-X, and Gunstar Heroes deserve the honors.
Re: Nintendo of America Confirms Wii U Virtual Console Titles For Next Two Weeks
@Taggsta The arcade game is a slowdown fest and a poor copy of the first arcade game This one is way better.
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th August (North America)
Wow, this update reminds me of 2008. Keep weeks like this up, Nintendo. Please.
And get Sega aboard already.
Re: Nintendo of America Confirms Wii U Virtual Console Titles For Next Two Weeks
People complaining about two NES classics. Amazing.
These are the types of games that SHOULD be on the VC.
Re: Nintendo Hardware and Exclusives Hold Firm at Top of Japanese Charts
I was talking about the PS4 not doing well in Japan and the Vita not doing well here. I fail to see what I was wrong about on those fronts.
