@WaveBoy If you ignore the control chips in X3 and just go for the ultimate gear it takes out a lot of the extra stuff nobody cares about. Also, Zero can be used to get you a very important tool if you use him in the right place.

X3's a great game once you get used to it.

Mega Man 7, X3, and Zero are all top notch. Can't wait.

Now if only we could get the Saturn on the VC so we could get 8 and X4...

@IxC I just don't see Metroid Prime 4 being announced. Maybe a 2D Metroid for the 3DS, but a full blown 3D Prime game being out by this holiday (since most games announced at E3 are usually out by then) just seems unlikely to me.

Retro's last game came out 4 months ago. How fast do you Prime fans think they are?

How about an actual sequel to Zelda 2? Or is that too wild and crazy an idea?

Too good to be true. It's just missing new arenas to really disappoint fans.

It's going to get patched. It's hard to imagine that it won't.

This is still one of my favorite games and I'm speaking as someone who has been playing the series since the first one. I hope this gets a VC release or a HD remake (with retro tracks!) sometime this gen. This game does not deserve to be forgotten.

I thought Tropical Freeze was a great surprise. In my opinion it's the best game Retro has made and it came out of nowhere to me. Though I'm sure Metroid fans will disagree. They already trashed the game endlessly before it even came out.

Double Dash was so good. It deserves a rerelease, really.

Started with SMK (awesome game) but my favorite is still Double Dash. Shame that 8 only has one retro track from SMK and two from Double Dash, they deserve more representation than that.

I would like the lightning better if it didn't make you lose your item.

The feather is an item I've always wanted back.

@XCWarrior Well, since we're still waiting for stuff like Shovel Knight I guess that isn't too far off the mark.

Sales don't seem to indicate that. I'm not sure why western devs still think kids care about "photo-realism". Kids like games that are fun. I don't know too many Mario Kart players that switch to Forza of all things.

If this means more DLC on the way then I can't really complain.

@hugo_octorok Mega Man IV for sure. If you like IV and V, then I'd go with III after.

IV is an entirely original game that only has two similarities with the NES games being the robot masters and level themes. Otherwise it is completely original.

@ThreadShadow I agree. Scoring games like this doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I'm still not sure why anyone thinks arcade DD2 is better. It apes the first arcade game, has far more slowdown, and is nowhere near as tight as the NES game. If you give the NES one a chance, it will surprise you with variety and a good challenge.

@shonenjump86 Be sure to never play the Game Boy version. Even with it's problems, NES DD3 is the only decent version of the game.

I'm honestly hoping we get Super Double Dragon and Double Dragon Advance sooner than later.

@Funny_Moblin I'm not certain, to be honest. I would like for it to be in Canada like the one last year, but I can't find any info saying it will be here.

They always planned for battle mode to have no arenas? Shame. Everything else about the mode looks fun, but that seems like a glaring omission.

No Canada? The event last year was in Canada, what gives?

@unrandomsam The arcade version is a pale imitation of the first game. The PC Engine version is better, but doesn't have the variety of the NES version.

Sorry, I still think it's the best.

@Ryno Not at all, it's one of my favorites.

Can't wait for this to come out here so I can have a portable version of it. DDII NES is the best version of the game and one of my favorite NES games.

@Yomerodes Mega Man 9 is one of the best, IMO.

Game Boy IV and V simply MUST be played by MM or platformer fans. They are truly excellent platformers well worthy of playing through.

Battle arenas and better characters are all I want. If we don't get those two and we get other DLC I'll be disappointed.

@WaveBoy MMIV adds A LOT new to the game. About the only real similarity are the Robot Masters and basic stage tropes.

And honestly, I think MMIV is far better than all three of the last NES games.

Mega Man fans who skip IV and V are really missing out.

I hope Capcom is working on getting 7 and X3 on the Wii U VC, as well. No idea why X1 and X2 came out so fast but 7 and X3 have been left in the dust.

Klonoa is a highly underrated franchise. Every platformer is excellent.

If Namco had a Smash rep, it should be him. The guy deserves it the most.

@bassoongoon Nintendo really doesn't need to be catering to "mature" gamers who think family friendly material is "kiddy" and "childish". It would be nice if "mature" gamers could get out of that silly prejudice themselves.

@CaviarMeths Not to mention how fast FFXIII landed in the bargain bin in Japan last gen. Final Fantasy is hardly the juggernaut it once was.

These sales for the home consoles aren't all that surprising and they're unlikely to improve much anytime soon in Japan.

I'll say it if no one else will. This is better than NES 4, 5, and 6 by leaps and bounds.

It's one of the best classic Mega Man games.

@PJR0cks Blame EA for not making this. Nothing was stopping them from it.

It's really either this or nothing, so hopefully the developers are able to step it up for the final release.

Mega Man IV and Scram Kitty! Great week for old school arcade-style action!

This is one of my least favorite Mega Man games (I still think X6, X7, and 6 are worse) but I actually kind of dig the soundtrack- instruments aside. Besides, I already have Mega Man 2 and 3 on my 3DS, I don't need the same soundtrack again.

This was good, but the next two are far better. I can't wait to see the reviews for those.

Shame people are going to turn on the game because of this review (apparently a 7 is now "I don't know why anybody was looking forward to this-quality" instead of just good), but I'm still excited to play it.

Wow, three VC titles. It's almost like 2006 again. Shame that pace won't keep up.

I see this coming in Fall just before Smash Wii U.

Shame about Tom Sparks. That one had a lot of potential. No idea why it garnered such little interest.

Treasurenauts looks great and I really dug Mutant Mudds, so I'm happy with this news.

Not that I don't like 3D games, but 2D platformers are always going to be my gaming bread and butter. I've never had enough of this genre and probably never will.
