@PCkid when has Nintendo ever done what the others have? And they’re still here. Time and time again I see comments like this and I just can’t help but roll my eyes. Sony doesn’t see Nintendo as a competitor because they’re probably well aware of the fact that many people own both a PS4 and a Switch. And as long as Nintendo is classified as a partner system, which it has for many generations, Sony won’t be bothered by them. Microsoft seeks to replace the PS4 in your home, not partner with it. Nintendo will always have a market because they’re realistic about what they are providing. If they went up against Sony and Microsoft directly they’d lose, and that’d be the true key to their downfall, they’d be years behind in experience and gaming development if they began working on a powerful Nintendo system.
@Wavey84 alright now we’re more on the same page haha. I’m glad you liked 7, I also thought 7 was a cool experience, and 5 is what it is. It was fun when I played it through with a friend and that helped me forget about all the problems it had. One thing that I really hated about zero was the cinematic quality, I felt the characters models were much better in REmake.
@Wavey84 I completely disagree. The original REmake still stands as one of my favourite games of all time. The tension building and sense of atmosphere is bar none.
After playing this I’m confused as to why Fortnite runs and plays the way it does on Switch. This game is quite similar graphically and runs far better and looks much cleaner. Pretty obvious Fortnite was a lazy port job.
@BacklogBlues playing Zero first is probably for the best. The tension is much higher in REmake, writing is better, cutscenes are cleaner, and Mansion is better. Bought the only thing you might miss is dropping items but I honestly wasn’t even a fan of that. Hope you enjoy it when you get around to it
@BacklogBlues I’ve played it before. Zero is not high on my list of Resident Evils, simply because I hated the cutscene quality and the story. It also really bothered me that Rebecca was much better in REmake and they somehow messed it up between games. Gameplay was great though can’t argue that but REmake is my favourite of all time so it’s hard to play Zero when it’s so subpar in comparison.
Can they do New Vegas or is that not their game to distribute. I loved New Vegas, it felt the most like your decisions mattered and there was so many random memorable moments throughout. Fallout 3 is great too, just had a better experience with Vegas.
Perhaps I didn’t put enough time in but I really wasn’t enjoying myself with this game. I’m glad to hear others did of course but I really am not a fan so far. I find that I’m dying too often and that the beat is unnatural and difficult to keep unless you got one eye on the bar below. Any tips or advice would also be appreciated as I’m sure there’s a good chance I’m overthinking it.
@Zuljaras most games require day one patches. I’m just happy they basically have the whole game on the cartridge instead of a download card or some cheap 4 GB card ala Capcom
@Minch what if Link gets sucked into the Dark World while Zelda remains in the light world and they each need to work together on opposite sides to reunite?
@Ludovsky I completely agree. Seems people are looking at this as if it’s the new Metroid. That’ll take some real time, they just started developing it probably almost from scratch. Botw’s engine is amazing and probably a large part of the fact they’re doing a sequel is to continue on with that amazing engine and to save some development time.
Do people really think this is several years away? They’ve already got footage of it and the engine is done, they don’t have to craft a whole new engine this time around. I think it’ll be out March 2021 but I am a dreamer.
You hear that FIFA fans? If you buy this years version your supporting corporate greed and laziness. DO NOT allow EA to take your money for something that is subpar “just because”.
@flowerlark can you please edit your comment. I was lucky enough to stop reading immediately but it seems as though you’ve posted a spoiler in the comments section possibly spoiling something for possible buyers.
Guaranteed we see the Pokémon Switch Mini sword and shield editions so they can talk about it at E3 and get some buzz. Plus it’d fall in line with their statement that no new hardware would be announced at E3.
I encourage everyone to call Nintendo directly and give feedback about how overpriced these games are. Here in Canada they are priced at $39.99 individually and $79.99 for the Origins physical. Not only is this blatantly overpriced, the conversion from US to Canadian isn’t even correct. They inflated a few more dollars beyond the already ridiculous pricing structure. Shame on you capcom.
@chardir if I were a betting man I’d put some money down on Nintendo giving out fake direct info to different groups within their company staff. Weed out the leakers. Probably why there’s been quite a few different leaks with different info.
I genuinely wonder how many sales they’re losing by continuing with this nonsense. The only excuse is that they’re in crunch mode right up until the last minute to ensure release date parity. But regardless just tell us that cause this is making me want to just get it on X1 instead.
@EasyDaRon not much for second chances eh? Believe it or not everyone has to start somewhere and mistakes can and will be made. The important part is that they’re learning from their mistakes and respecting their consumers by righting the ship. Was it a bad move that they seemingly tried to take advantage of consumers to begin with? Of course. But a lesson has clearly been learned.
@RandomNerds I had assumed that the Switch would not be powerful enough to run a split frame of BOTW and that Nintendo was using some technical magic with the goggles to trick the perspective. Even now I’m having a really hard time imagining the system doing it, I hope it doesn’t cause a god awful framerate, the BOTW footage was obviously just stock footage. Odyssey I could understand as it’s a fixed angle and a tech demo seemingly.
@RandomNerds PSVR is 1080 split between two eyes. 540p each eye. That’s why it looks blurry. Also I do not believe this is going to split the image. So it’ll technically be 720p no matter what.
@Medic_alert yeah exactly. Like if Mario kart was 20-50 GB I’d be pretty sour. But Hellblade is a one and done kinda deal and if you ever want to revisit it, redownload it.
@justin233 I always find statements like this strange. Why not just play it and delete it afterwards? I mean sure it limits what you can take with you on the go but something tells me you’re not simultaneously playing 6 games at the same time. Download it, crush it, delete it, redownload your go to games. No sweat, and you’ll have gotten to enjoy a fantastic game.
Holding these developers accountable after they so willingling take our cash is exactly what we need to do folks. Show them we won’t play second fiddle, show them that they need to put in the effort, at the end of the day it will only make them a better developer overall and it will generate more support for their games.
