Re: This Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Trick Lets You Defeat Calamity Ganon With Just One Hit

@dugan I 100% it, other than seeds, twice. Although I’ll admit the world loses a lot of its appeal the second run through and some of the content becomes a grind. Probably would do it sooner rather than later if you plan on playing the sequel so you’re not burnt out on Zelda when BOTW 2 rolls around. Especially considering the map will very likely be the same with layout and content remixes.

@Doktor-Mandrake you’re a riot buddy. I was referring to the Switch Lite having Joy con drift in the original comment i posted, the comment wasn’t even aimed at the original Joy cons. I genuinely believe Lite users who’re trying to say there’s a large quantity of joy con drift issues already are full of and that those YouTube videos are either very isolated or doctored. There is an active lawsuit against this issue, Nintendo has probably addressed it in the manufacturing of the Lite and is waiting for the lawsuit to drop that on them and make them sound foolish when they start throwing around the Lite drift issues as evidence. Now please go pester someone else. If you haven’t had joy con drift personally the only reason I can see that you’re here is to annoy others. Which I’ll admit you’ve done very well.

@Doktor-Mandrake I doubt the Lite has any widespread issues. And there are plenty of lawsuits that revolve around lies. Adding the Lite to the lawsuit is just another attention seeking act. I have literally not had an issue with any of my three sets of Joy Cons, how does that make me a fanboy? Because my opinion differs from you? I think that everything becomes a big issue now because the internet is toxic.

Re: Hold On Tight As Digital Foundry Tries To Nail Down Zelda: Link's Awakening's Performance Hiccups

@nintendolie if you’d watched the DF video they state that over clocking had little to no impact on performance. You also misunderstand how Nintendo is utilizing overclocking. Overclocking in BOTW is being used outside of gameplay to speed up load times. The switch is not overclocked during regular gameplay so thinking that they should just simply overclock it to make Links Awakening run smoother doesn’t make sense. Something needs to be adjusted on the backend to take some stress off of the graphics card. It’s doing to much at once, and it seems to be rendering the whole map. Have you noticed any long load times in Links Awakening during basic gameplay? An alternative would probably be to have load times that are longer between walking in and out of buildings or dungeons or when traversing areas which I’m assuming is something they wanted to avoid.

Comparing LA to BOTW isn’t exactly fair. LA is attempting to hit 60 FPS, double the frames of what BOTW. BOTW also suffers from performance issues that can dip it well below 30, which I personally find to be more jarring than a game that runs at 60 90% of the time and double buffers down to 30 for brief periods of time or only in certain areas. Furthermore I found the dips to be quite forgettable after playing the game for extended periods of time, sure at the beginning it was difficult to ignore but after a few hours I barely noticed it. I think people are getting a bit worked up about an issue that barely changes the game. Sure it’s a con but the rest of the game is incredible, can we not just be happy with that?

@Xelha I love it when people talk out their butt about something they’ve very likely never experienced and only read about online. Even if the drifting issue got lots of press and the media convinced you of it I doubt it was as widespread as reported. That being said Nintendo is a giant corporation with a single goal to make the most amount of money possible. I’m sure they’ve got it under control and have updated the sticks with better components so quit being negative. Time will tell, but it’d be absolute suicide for the Switch Lite to ship with the same defect.
