Re: The Game Awards 2020 Will Feature '12 To 15' New Game Reveals, Geoff Keighley Confirms

Every year he promises the same thing and doesn’t deliver. I’m hoping this year Keighly has taken the feedback to heart and secured some decent reveals. Give us a switch pro, give us chief and samus in fortnite, give us a botw 2 trailer. Make this show the must watch gaming event of the year. It’s been too many years of awkward interviews and stage performances that are lacking.

Re: Nintendo Cancels Splatoon 2 NA Open Livestream, "Free Melee" Believed To Have Played A Part

Welcome to real life folks. Nintendo is a giant company. They care about money and protecting their properties. Don’t act entitled when you’re doing and participating in illegal activities with a mega conglomerates properties and they shut you down. The whining and belly aching only makes you look more entitled and also by the way makes it seem like you need a big dose of the real world. You aren’t special. If they let you they’d have to let everyone else and pirating and misuse of properties would be even more rampant than it already is. Sure the argument can be made that Melee is old and this shouldn’t matter. But look at it this way, Ultimate is a new smash with online capabilities and these people are broadcasting that there’s a free online version of a fan favourite game. That can hurt sales of Nintendo’s new IP ultimate. Use your brains.

@roadrunner343 how can you claim something is lazy when you’ve got zero knowledge of what went into it? Crunching and adapting to work from home, something Nintendo is notoriously very against, to make sure the game came out for the 35th. You really don’t know what they went through or how it went down. Converting a Wii game I’ve heard is a pain in the ass. Which would make sense since they rarely do it. But anyways, I’m just saying it’s kind of ridiculous to pretend you know what went into it just because the “internet” told you to feel a certain way. I’ve been playing it since release. I think they are all fantastic conversions.

@Mgalens I feel compelled to talk down when it’s complaints that don’t even really exist. A lot of these issues are related to hacked switches. Not to mentioned when someone completely ignores the actual good aspects such as the HD upgrades, texture upgrades, native widescreen support. It’s so difficult not to talk down when it’s someone just flaming. You can literally sense the fact that they never planned on purchasing it, especially when they’re saying something so minor could sway them. If you wanted it I really doubt these things would change your mind. My point is simply that these people are very obviously taking the shape of trolls. They seek only to make you doubt your own purchase and worth you place on things and aren’t true fans. Many people here are making logical points and writing out their thoughts coherently and genuinely and I’ve been cordial with them. The others who are just obvious trolls I have zero patience for.

@theiRiS with a thought out and reasonable response I have no problem with you adding to my pings. Lol
Absolutely I agree more could have been added to justify the price tag. But delaying a game is a very difficult decision to make especially when it’s Mario’s 35th anniversary. 3D world may have been dated for next year but was it originally? I highly doubt it. So you roll into September and an investors meeting with two Mario games delayed to next for the 35th. I get it billion dollar company etc but they can’t do what they do or make more great games if they aren’t profitable and making investors happy as well. Which means we suffer in the end. They’re damned if they do damned if they don’t. I think it was the right decision to focus on 3D world and get these ports out. There was no lead up or unfulfilled promises. It was just HD remasters. At least 3D has some extra content.

Also one more thing before I ignore these comment sections forever. A rushed game is forever bad? To the idiots saying that. Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and galaxy are some of the best games ever made on their respective systems. You sound completely stunned. These games all retain their quality and masterpiece status. That quote was made in regard to new games not compilations and quoting it over and over makes you sound stupider than I can call you out for in a single comment. None of these games have degraded in quality simply because you’re blubbering. They are all awesome and now they’re in HD. Keep reaching, quit trolling, and for the love of god quit crying. And I’m out, peace bitches.

@Thirteen1355 WHAT BUGS!!! I have extensive time with all of them now and I’ve encountered zero bugs!? Could they be a bit better? SURE! But made up bugs and nit picking random stuff so you can sleep better at night about a game you probably never intended to purchase and only want to attempt to ruin for the rest of us is just petty. Seriously I’m starting to think Nintendolifes got an IGN infestation the way all you peeps are whining and blubbering. If you’ve got an emulator to play this better on go! If you’ve got a GameCube or wii you prefer Go! If it’s too expensive don’t buy it, and don’t worry about other people buying it cause it shouldn’t matter to you if you didn’t. ***** man. Lol this is actually ridiculous.

@Sourcecode that was really all I’m saying. Like an indie dev that was already accustomed to working at home or at least partially has a massive advantage over a massive company like Nintendo where you used to be a desk away from someone you need to speak to constantly. Not to mention security and liabilities of sending people home with dev kits and storing info at home. That all requires massive procedural changes.

@jamesm I’m not even a fan boy. I just think you’re all being unreasonably whiny about nothing. Much worse ***** is done in gaming. Micro transactions, anything EA, Rockstar or Ubisoft do. Nintendo gets you a great comp for September and Mario’s anniversary rather than just skipping it altogether and all they get is this blubbering backlash. It just seems entitled to me. But whatever let’s all agree to disagree.
