Re: The Pokémon Company Apologises For Featuring Dewgong In The Fourth Episode Of Twilight Wings

Sanicranfast

@Sk1doosh this particular anime is explicitly advertising Sword and Shield. Its advertising is basically saying:

"Like these Pokemon? Use them in your own team in Sword and Shield. Out now!"

As Dewgong is used to advertise Sword and Shield, a game its not in, it is grounds for false advertising. Dewgong may get patched in later, but the first season pass content is 2 months away and not 'out now'.

Re: Reggie on GameCube Controller Support on the Switch

@Dr_Corndog Wii mode issue is because gamecube support was hard wired, but removed from future Wii models as the target market were casuals with no need of cube support.

Wii software built into Wii U lacks all backwards compatibility same as those later Wii models.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V is Coming to the Nintendo Switch

@Darkhound1999 The plot is very stand alone in SMT IV. Honestly, IV's early game twist works better when you have no prior knowledge of the franchise.

The series kinda works like final fantasy in each game being stand alone, though I'm no expert on the franchise. IV certainly is stand alone at least.

There are multiple spin offs with their own stories, the most famous being Persona. But for Nintendo consoles, IV is a fantastic experience.

My only warning is that the game uses real religious symbology and themes/characters so can be uncomfortable at times for practicing Christians. It uses Mary, Angels and God the same way it uses Hindu gods/monsters and mythical creatures.

Re: More Switch Rumors From Laura Kate Dale

Sanicranfast

@Moms-Meowth Nintendo destroyed Rockstar North back in the N64 days over ridiculous demands over Body Harvest, which led to the company going bankrupt.

They then went on to create GTA3 on PS2 and have avoided Nintendo as much as possible since then. Nintendo aren't well loved in Scottish programming circles.

Nintendo need third parties, not the other way round.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Provides Assurances on Pikmin 4 Development

Sanicranfast

@NintendoEan At the moment we can only play them with Wiimotes via the Wii U's Wii mode.

A true Metroid Trilogy HD would hopefully add back all the graphical elements they had to remove from the Wii release to allow motion controls to work.

Basically I just want to replay the trilogy with an actual controller and not the Wiimote, with the same atmosphere that the gamecube games had.

I can easily see the NX getting:
-Smash Bros for NX (a port of the Wii U version with ice climbers added back into the roster since they were removed due to 3DS issues)
-Splatoon because of how popular it was on Wii U
-Breath of the Wild we know for a fact
-Bayonetta 1+2 I can see getting in on the NX
-Mario Kart 8, because it is the greatest Mario Kart game ever made.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Provides Assurances on Pikmin 4 Development

@Grumblevolcano Honestly that was Nintendo's big mistake on the Wii U. They could have easily filled in a few release gaps (especially this year!) with more Gamecube HD ports. We could have had:

-Mario Kart Double Dash HD
-Eternal Darkness HD (Should be easy since Silicon Knights no longer exist)
-Mario Galaxy 1+2 HD
-Pikmin Trilogy HD (3 comes with all DLC on disc)
-Metroid Prime Trilogy HD
-F-Zero GX HD
-Smash Bros Melee HD (have it come bundled with DLC codes to unlock Roy and Mewtwo in Smash Bros Wii U)

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Provides Assurances on Pikmin 4 Development

@ThanosReXXX A game being in development means very little these days.

FFVersus13 was in development for 11 years before releasing as FF15 at the end of this year.

Last Guardian was announced in 2009 and won't be released until Christmas 2016.

Star Fox Zero was delayed multiple times.

Zelda U was delayed to launch beside the NX.

SMTxFE was announced years before we saw any TMS #FE footage.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd June (North America)

Sanicranfast

@C-Olimar Yeah, F-Zero is a tried and true racer. It doesn't need fancy gimmicks, it just needs:

-Great selection of tracks
-Online racing/regular tournaments
-Silly story mode like GX
-Custom racers/Vehicle parts
-60fps HD visuals

It's a shame Nintendo feel they need to reinvent the wheel when the only thing fans want is a prettier GX with more content and online gameplay.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd June (North America)

Sanicranfast

@C-Olimar

All I wanted from Nintendo this gen was an HD remake of F-Zero GX, or even better a new game! Imagine going to a lobby and racing against 29 other people with 60fps gameplay. Maybe a track editor and custom parts to make your own vehicle and maybe even a character creator too!

Online rankings, regular tournaments, a hard as nails story mode, etc.

It would have been amazing.

Yet looking at how they screwed up Animal Crossing by releasing an insanely boring board game and how badly they messed up Star Fox Zero, I hate to think how they would ruin F-Zero with their current gimmicks over gameplay nonsense.
