Re: Cabbage Is The Dream Nintendo Game That Never Was

RegalSin

The N64DD would have been an great add-on to extend the N64 life AND MORE IMPORTANTLY BRING US MOTHER 3 TO THE WEST.

I would have imagined the games on the add-on to be almost like the GCN but lackin otherwise. Nintendo instead choose to lay it off. Otherwise Nintendo failed because of that instinct and left us with an crummy GCN/Wii/WiiU.

EARTHBOUND 64 PEOPLE.
EARTHBOUND 64.............the fools

I mean seriously the best games on the GCN have all been ported. My GCN is an reminder that at least if I had an N64DD I would be playing with APE POWER. Buttt nooo I hopped all/most of my GCN games already.

Even Wario World would have been an greater hit on the DD64 including the Zelda Add-on content. Majoras Mask is just ZeldaGB content in an nutshell.

Just think about people.

Re: Video: What Do You Get When You Combine Mario Kart and Mad Max?

RegalSin

@B3ND3R Well that is part of my ambitions " //In this world//, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God hovering above"
@MC808 I do admit the idea of holding my leg up at the table or chair itself, exposing my natural radiance while speaking on an stage/cliff does sounds quite enjoyable. Especially if their is an audience for my long abbreviated over exaggerated speeches and or essay stylistic mumbo gumbo.
@antdickens I just wish they would have made an normal MM movie and not this joke. I mean making things extreme is one thing but MadMax had plently of logic and is the original reason why the first film sold. The biker gangs ( ha ha ha ) was an instant hit but just seeing that skull carved into the canyon mountain side just made this film unwatchable ( unless you could make logic sense of that skull in the canyon that is sticking out of nowhere. )

@Nik-Davies I will admit this was an Mario film or Mario game it would be soooo awesome if this was the sequel the "Mario Movie" from back then. As that feeling ripples through my body as I typed that. Makes me think about the ending where "Daisy" says "Koopa is back" and she is super armed like some sorta rebel in the orient.
@Kaze_Memaryu People live and hope. Dragon Ball...........I just wish they would stop trying to do lunacy to that series and just continue it from the Buu hero already.

Re: Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon is Adventuring to 3DS

RegalSin

I see that "Rouge" started the ball rolling but it wasn't until arcade games similar to Gaunlet did anybody started to really take any interest.

Yes Dragon Quest on the SNES/NES with the Shop/Trader mini-game was the game that popularized the genre throughout the world ( and more importantly kept it popular ) which eventually led to "Chocobo Dungeon" and "Mario Party" as well

That is the thing I am talking about, since Guatlet many Japanese developers have implemented the "enemy-re-generator" stylistic gameplay that is original from Guatlet ( more famously known ). Yes you do mention Diablo, but Diablo is your basic pen and pencil RPG that uses the generators differently. I am talking about your basic "Zelda" type game ( which is also an clone ), where generators are random.

Again I know that Gaunlet is different from the chungsoft game but it pre-dates and inspires the usage of "Rouge" like gameplay.

Re: Review: NES Remix Pack (Wii U)

RegalSin

You know their is an saying in this world. The fence is narrow and small but outside of that fence is an great big field.

I hate re-releases. What I hate the most is how people re-release something by jumping the fence/shark.

Seriously I mean okay great lets play "Punch-out" or "Super mario Bros" with smaller extra graphics even more lamer then any extra graphics of "Super-Gameboy".

Re: Panic Bomber

RegalSin

Panic Bomber was an colorful puzzle-game for the SNES and we got this nonsense for the Virtual Boy. End-of-line. Speaking of horror-stories the same could be said for WaterWorld not being made for the SNES.
I am talking about the Virtual Boy game.

Re: Bomberman Hero

RegalSin

Oh the horror the horror of this game. Loading it up and playing it for the first time felt like I walked into an trap. Curse you Hudson Soft for making this thing.

If they re-release this game I hope they update everything. This game is too small and too boring only leaving you with the bosses and some enemies to play with.

Seriously the giant crab and baby crab are not real bosses. I could sit in an corner blind folded and deal with that thing. The entire game is THE MOST LAMEST EXCUSE TO USE STORM TROOPERS. The last game that did that was "Brave Fencer:Mushashi" But at least it was fun and weird unlike this game. This game is horrible and I wished I put my money inside an "Money Market Account" instead.

Re: Nintendo 64x64: Bomberman 64

RegalSin

This was one of the greatest N64 games ever made along with "Second Attack" everybody loved this. We loved the futuristic world, and the futuristic bombs. We loved "Sirus" being good guy and then turning bad skull man. We loved "Regulus" the Ice-Knght AKA Bullzeeb the Black-Knight
We loved the sequel and the Pommy. We loved every single bit of this game. Especially lighting somebody on fire only for them to explode leaving us their goodies, while they try and take us out as ghosties.

This was the greatest Bomberman experience that HudsonSoft ever, EVVARRRR made. It was soooooo great and I mean so great that even special hidden levels made the game even more fun to play.

They need more DLC for this game. We must have more BMN64. I love Pommy so much as well. When I sold this game I rebrought again later. I have rebrought Kirby like three times but this is another game worth buying again.

Re: Review: Bomberman Hero (Virtual Console / Nintendo 64)

RegalSin

From day one I opened and play this game. I pretended to enjoy it knowing full well this is Hudson Soft regressing back to the SNES bomberman ( AKA Bomberman 3-7 ) series. I mean the game and story is kinda fun but seriously this is an great step back.

One thing that was great about this game was teleported battles, the boss battles, and the extra secret Stage. Everything else in this game leaves you with "Why me".
Bomberman the Second attack and BombermanRPG GBC ( which is really BMN643 ) would have made an better game.

I was so unhappy to play this game but I pulled through knowing full well that this was as good as it was going to get for bomberman in 3d. After this game it was one big slide down for bomberman. I will admit I do love the RPG game for the GBC which is the real sequel then this thing.

Again great bosses but super stupid worlds. I mean come on. Why bring back the princess from the Saturn game? Is it not enough that bomberman was becoming more mature and they went and made this thing??

Re: Bomberman '93

RegalSin

I am kinda happy this game never made it to western shores as it was so corney. Otherwise it is an great play of the original bomber-man concept.

Re: Review: Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains (3DS)

RegalSin

This is an really cheaply made animation that focuses on character animations over worldly animations. I still wish I could see the world animated in real-time then seeing 2d on top of 3d.

I just wish that food-girl would live through the whole thing. She can't die. She is like my favorite animated girl character since Sailor-Jupiter. The other food girl. Again I want to see her raise cows and make babies as well become more chubbier or some sorta super happy ending. Seriously I like her.

She is the downtown girl with the extra grease without the violent part of the downtown girl. Unlike Sailor Jupiter who is pretty violent

Re: Review: Mega Man & Bass (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)

RegalSin

SNES game proves that MM8 could have been a lot better looking. However I do not like the lack of action. This game feels too laid back to play. The GBA game is for GBA players as with "Sonic the Hedgehog GBA". So your not really missing out on much. Just your typical one-hit wonder showing off the power of the SNES.

Re: Video: Get The Best Picture From Your NES With This Comprehensive Guide

RegalSin

That is because your DISPLAY ( most likely ) is using true colors mode while an real TV is REALLY REALLY BRIGHTLY LITE.

Try to synchronize your computer display for professional image editing and then run an game. You will see the game will appear to be extra dark. By turning the display colors BRIGHTER you will get the true appearance.

Recent games uses 24-bit coloring that goes beyond that amount. Meaning certain darks appears lighter but previous games uses the brightest colors that appears even darker. This is why many Sega Saturn games have this odd color appearance due the usage of colors.

In short you need to mess around with the CONTRAST AND BRIGHTNESS of your display or TV. Again in the past many people had their colors and brightness on high and we could see the darkest sections of the screen.

Re: Video: What Do You Get When You Combine Mario Kart and Mad Max?

RegalSin

So I just saw the trailer. It was kinda okay. I really liked the idea of it all but without the bowser and more or less the "Smithy Gang" would make more sense.

MadMax from my understanding should be taking place after the events of MadMax 2:Road Warrior. However I am to understand it will be the unofficial MM4????

As long as it is not an remake, I would be happy. However the film maker "George Miller" has proven not to learn lessons from Indiana Jones: The Crystal Skull. I mean that is not an bad movie but Indian with Aliens vs the idea of the Cup-of-life film is kinda lame.

You know once upon an time, Nintendo was this great thing and Mario Kart on the SNES was auwsome in it's might. Just thinking about "Simpsons: Virtual Bart" and the road-rash ( is that is what is was called ) stage where Bart vs his bullies in the post-apocalyptic Springfeild.

You know what I really love about the real/original "MadMax"???? The fact that all the players are the same exact characters that pops up somewhere on the globe of Max's world. In this case it is Australia.

MM2 the Police Captain is the leader.
MM2 the mechanic from the first movie is on the good guys side.
MM3 the Helicopter man is divorced with his son living inside of an plane bunker ( ha ha ha ).
MM3 The Captain they were talking about is Thunder's main co-leader.
MM3 The same mechanic from the first and second movie is now on the badguys side and stays with Thunder till the end
MM3 the r-tard( special person ) from the first movie is the "Blaster" character but is with his father AKA "Master".
MM3. Max's wife is reincarnated in the female leader of "the ones who left".
MM2 While the bikers are vicious against others; who are not of their own kind they are also soft towards each other.

Personally I am not amazed by the idea of MM:Mario Kart because the idea itself is an great one. "Mario in an post apcolyptic Mushroom Kingdom and everybody is displaced". HA HA HA HA. Wouldn't that be funny. That is the main idea now isn't it.

They should actually re-do this entire trailer using the Smithy-Gang instead of Bowser. Bowser is okay and all but he is not really that big of threat when it comes to violence anymore. Bowser Story is more or less MadMax2:Road Warrior.
Warios Story is more or less the original MadMax. Wario Story retold is MM3.

Re: Video: Get The Best Picture From Your NES With This Comprehensive Guide

RegalSin

Okay first off thanks to United States and other nations removing or hijacking all the air-space most RF switches have great pictures.
1. For me I imported an RF switch with my SEGA that works with my NES?? that gets me the best picture.
2. The NES hooked up through the composite cable via an real SONY trinitron will get great picture.
3. ALL GAMES ON THE NES ARE PIXELS AND NOT IMAGES. SO ANY DISPLAY THAT CAN SHOW A TRUE RESOLUTION VIA THE NES WILL HAVE PERFECT RESOLUTION.

I say this because even on my Apple display I get perfect pixel coloration with computers like the PC-66 and so forth.

ABOUT EMULATORS.

I will not deny that emulators work but they also have issues. Like some games will work and some games will not work. For example is legendary One-chip NES top of SNES I have ( an modder took it apart and made into an portable NES ). That one-chip NES can play most NES games but certain games will run slow or the volume will be low on special games that uses special sound chips. Also the thing does not support true Light-Gun.

Re: Star Fox

RegalSin

The sad thing about this game the easiest path has the most best final stage. Also just to let you know; you could actually get to the easiest path through the hardest path and still have the best ending???? Isn't that funny. I forget if that is true. I mean the hardest path just insanely stupid; But worth the challenge.

The biggest thing about this game was all the weird bosses and the enemies. I mean this thing was great.

Re: Star Fox 64 3D

RegalSin

I could really care less because the original N64 game was great enough as it is. This is just an refinement of the original for kiddies who never played or owned an N64.

Re: Star Fox Adventures

RegalSin

They took Dinosaur planet, turned it into an girl. Revamp "Team Starfox" and filled in the gaps. I mean seriously I see why they did this? Rareware knew this game would not sell or be collectable for any reason at all. Just some random blue-fox guy in an dino-world.

Honestly this game was probably one of the most cheesiest piece of garbage I have ever played. All that we got from this was girlish half naked British talking fox woman to stare at. That is it.

Fox-Mcloud sighing WAS THE ENTIRE GAME. I mean why am I playing this game? Why OH I KNOW BECAUSE STARFOX could really careless about who is in control of Dinosaur planet at all, and what the problem is. Just hey lets save the fox-girl because maybe just maybe he could pass on his genes to his own kind. HA HA HA HA HA. "I don't know how to thank you Fox". Then Peppy is like "Fox, are you okay Fox".
Again

SSsssssssssssssssiiiiiiiggggggggggghhhhhhh ( Fox playing an mini-game of Donkey Kong on an icy slop ). HA HA HAHAHAH
This game is replayable because it is that cheezy rubbish.

Re: Feature: The Full Story Behind Star Fox 2, Nintendo's Most Famous Cancellation

RegalSin

Well so far all I am seeing or reading is about an guy ( programmer??? ) who was recruited to do polygon programming for the SNES FX chips. I mean great Nintendo obviously needed the extra math intel in order to get things done ASAP. Great out purchases help pushed this guy career. Without our purchases he would probably be an math teacher, or Astrophysicist at NASA equivalence.

Let me tell you the story about SFII. They finished the game, and it was 1995. They could have, should have, and would have released it. But instead Nintendo released "Super Mario RPG", "SMW2:Yoshi Island", and of course "Kirby Dreamland 3" ( thank god for Kirby making it ).

But lets be realistic. Nintendo wanted to get all the little kids addicted to the N64 for Christmas, and not have it collide. Also SF2 ( in my opinion ) is also a very complex game and I doubt people ( kids ) would actually enjoy it. I will admit I was an terrible SF player and only later ( much later ) after SF64 I was able to grasp the gameplay of SF.

Bottom-line, the game was stolen from Nintendo HQ ( literally ) and from my understanding they dumped the game and attempt to return it but was caught ( as the story goes ). Also not much had to be done with the Rom to make it playable.

I will admit I have played SFII and dammit it is probably the most greatest game I have played by far. Maybe SFII was canceled because people would realize ( like "Conker" ) it was ahead of it's time. The game was sophisticated for people.

Otherwise mister Cuthbert sounds so unhappy. He worked at Nintendo then he left for Sony. Came back ( without money?? ) to work for Nintendo again???? Then he left for SONY PS4????

Honestly this guy sounds like he is all over the place using his special brain for evil corporations greed. I do not call him an "game designer" but somebody who is probably an valuable programmer for these companies.

Re: Video: Christopher Lloyd Revives Doc Brown Role in New LEGO Dimensions Trailer

RegalSin

Christopher Lloyd is just milking this as much as possible because Michael J. Fox is unable to.

Seriously I can't get enough of his acting. It does not feel bad and is too believable. Sometimes I wish he was an real scientist. Speaking of which "Bill Nyne"( the science guy ) was on TV explaining what happen to Katrina. I could not laugh so hard when they had Bill bring out the old board from PBS explaining why the flood occur.

Re: Editorial: The eShop's Pricing Dilemma is the Fault of Many, But Damages Creativity and Risk Taking

RegalSin

Look people who really think you need to spend 20+ dollars on an download. Please just stop it now, umhkyyy. Downloads are free period. Nintendo is capitalizing off the old idea from European markets ( go figure ) that people will pay for downloads. Back in Japan they had vending machines where you could get an copy of an game via a disk that would be reprogrammable.

The way I see it is like this. If it is an download it should be free. If you can hold in your hands and download it; then it should be payable. The problem is when an consumer purchase an download and then make copies of it.

$5 dollars is enough but the truth is that these companies know that you should spend even $20 dollars to line their pockets.

I will understand if the game is an low-budgeted game but if the game is made by big wig companies they should provide extra content with an body and thus via download pay as well.

Eitherway you purchase what you pay for .

The game maker is now raising prices based on the recent inflation and are gambling to see if consumers will pay the price.

Re: Cyber Gadget's Retro Freak System Is Looking To Topple The RetroN 5 In The Downright Awesome Stakes

RegalSin

you need an tv-box. The current DISPLAY PANELS are not using "Verticies" ( it will display any image at the same size ) but are using "resolution". In fact display panels are poor AND VERY POOR compared to real televisions. If you ever see an giant 200" tv outside or being sold in stores you should grab one. Some are garbage but others are great with great image. You can never beat a price on that kind of imagery.

So you can either get an
A. Tv-box ( which has all kinds of settings )
B. An real Tv (not an display panel ).

Displays the ones we have now are in now way to be considered or called televisions at all. They are just poor versions of TV that are flat.

If your house is too tiny for an real TV then get an bigger house.

Also the display of most early games on televisions should not really be affected so much. As the game systems uses PIXELS and not images. Games that uses Images or an high amount of colors will suffer in appearance.

My apple Cinema display ( with no reflection ) everything from VHS recordings is smooth but any videogame that uses images ( like the unofficial Sonic Heroes ) will suffer in appearance. In fact in "Sonic Heroes" on the PC ( an 2d game ). The sprites look great but the Character icon is BLURRED..

So do not really blame the tv for displaying poorly blame the game maker for using images over pixels in the wrong area.

Re: Unofficial Metroid Prequel Uses The Original NES Hardware To Impressive Effect

RegalSin

Meh their has been tons of edits and hacks for the NES game and so forth. I think this is really an hack of "Aliens 3" ( if you haven't really noticed or think about it ) becuase of the size of the sprites and various actions ( which is presented in Alien 3 ).

Also the idea of having an story to follows the Re-written storyline is dumb. Samus was raised by the Chrozo people and the planet Zebbes was originally populated by dragons until the Space-Pirates killed them all off. Not that her parents were killed by Ridely BS. ( you find that in the original Metroid Manual or Comics ). That whole parent killed is garbage.

The whole entire Metriod has been dumbed down since Metriod Prime 3 or at least the Konami Metroid game. Samus is an rouge not an officer. I do not want to play or call Samus an officer ( it would be nice and all but we should leave that in the background ).

@Cauterize would you unblock me

Re: Nintendo of America's Newest Recruit Is Bowser

RegalSin

Doug Bowser has been director of sales since 1984 at P&G.

While at this company that sells pet foods, cleaning agents, and personal care products. Also P&G originally was an food company that gave us "PRINGLES" but now that is owned by Kelloggs ( like the corn flakes.

This is an company based on Ohio folks. Ohio??? Is there anything good about this person who studied in Utah??? What is his advantage. The way I see this person is that HE IS RETIRED and is enjoying being inside an company who product is equal to an addiction and an toy at Christmas. He is not an runner up, or an go-getter. Just an guy who most likely took business and had somebody to guide him down the right path. He is retired ( logically ). He was retired before he had started back in 1984.

I really do not care about this persons name but to point out the fact that for the most part of his career was at an "Potato Chip" company that is now selling non-food products. I just want to point that out people.

EA is and has also been nobody friend as well. Remember what EA did to SEGA Dreamcast after SEGA sided with NEC. However EA back on the Genesis was an under-dog player in videogames and thus was something to proud of. EA recently blocked off other companies from making videogames featuring real sports-teams and names. Which pretty much damage every-bodies ability to make sports games with real names or features.

Re: Yooka-Laylee’s Game Worlds Will Be Contained Within "Magical Books”

RegalSin

@Seanmyster6 the original Banjo including the sequel without reading any of the gibberish the characters was saying just felt so pointless in my opinion. Those jokes were an huge point of the game itself. Getting past that; Banjo never had an real ending at all.

The true ending was the hidden bad ending. I mean they are bears and should look like bears. So what if she sucked out the "beauty" of that one bear. People eat bear meat and they still hunt bears as I type this.

Conker on the other hand was more like "Beyond Good and Evil". It is an game you can not stop playing no matter what. Even the multilayer was awesome. Conker was also censored as well. Banjo vs Conker dev team is funny as well.

The funny story about Conker is the devteam wanted their game to beat the other devteams work. So they said okay this game is going to be an game everybody wants to play. Not the other way around. In fact let me go and play Conker Right now. That is how awesome this game is.

I love Conker that much. Banjo just seems kinda pointless to even finish, or romp through. I keep going back but everything seems more like an degraded version of Conker. I just wish whatever these people are planning is not another picnik.

They have to do something extreme to make this game worth something.

Re: Super Paper Mario

RegalSin

South Park RPG that is all I can say in reference to this. This is the game that should have been on the N64. This should have been on the GCN. Nintendo robbed over $400 from millions of people just to make this one game ( logical aspects of it )

Re: Review: Paper Mario (Wii U eShop / Nintendo 64)

RegalSin

Okay the thing about "Super Mario RPG" it was the last real time we had "our" Mario from the NES days. After that their was nothing that tied the game together. No cartoon, no animation, no comic book. Nothing. SMRPG brought those worlds together and did things that no other Mario game ever did before. The only other game we had was "Smash Brothers:Melee" and that was it. If we could just have Toad as an player in SS:Melee it would have been perfect. That is the problem with every single Mario game after SMMRPG.

Toad is not really useful, Kamek is replaced by Kammy ( his wife or whatever ). The Mallows and every single world from SMRPG is gone including Boshi, and Frog Fungus ( that was the entire game along with Belom, and Boosters Tower ). Even Smithy and his henchmen are gone.

In fact this game is so pointless and it's legacy. I owned this game and I am glad to remove it from my collection. It cost me like 25 dollars and I am glad I sold it for less then that. But I still own SMRPG. I am happy and I am glad to own that game, It brought me so much Joy. Never in my life since getting "Pokemon Pikachu N64" or "Donkey Kong n64" did I felt robbed blind. I feel so robbed from even playing this game. It was that bad. The only thing and if I repeat these words, THE ONLY THING GOOD FROM PMario is this link.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpPWzyzsbHk

That is all. Everything else about this series is complete drain on life and I could get more joy from watching Mario cartoons all day long.

I do not like what the Paper Mario RPG is or anything that came out of that including the GBA RPG as well. Okay the idea of "Super Paper Mario" is not bad and that is one good thing about this game; but otherwise SPM is what should have been made for the N64, not this thing.

1. All anime/manga from japan are considered cartoons no different to the west. .
2. That is just artwork for the artists to follow.
3. Chances are the artists ( 3d-renderers as well ) from Rareware did not transfer over and Rare had an mess of problems with the transitions.
