Thought switch 2 was easy to port/develop for?

Everyone loving p3 when it’s a key card after the continued bitching about them on here…..

It was simply nowhere near good enough - absolute trash

It was garbage.

Huge advocate for the Nintendo switch and the switch 2 has been excellent but if that’s the quality of 3rd party support then I can see me picking up a handheld pc this year.

This place needs to get over key cards.

Very tempted with this and have no interest in this “sport”. Watched it 40 years ago when I was in my teens !
I hate to say it but for the switch 2 to become THE console it’s important to support these titles. By all accounts this version is basically on a par with the ps5 (custom images aside) which should be applauded and supported. They have done a great job here. 3rd party games need big sales on switch. The previous excuse that they were poor ports - which was often totally justified - no longer applies.
Let’s support these titles big time - not just the sensational 1st party games which we primarily bought the console for !

I am a huge Xbox fan having had every generation of their consoles. Love the way they have had an extremely strong backwards compatibility model throughout the generations- done a great job on it. In saying that, I play 90% of my gaming on switch since the original came out.
Halo, gears of war and forza are all top tier games in their genres - absolutely sensational games that would knock the switch 2 into the greatest console ever if they came over.

@MathByThePixel understand your feelings. I am not actually all that fussed about game cards. Yes, it is far superior to have the game on the cart - that’s what you expect to be buying. On the other hand you can still resell the game in future like you would do with a traditional cart so I can still see the value in them tbh

I think it’s decent tbh and a good console port.

The camera comment is nonsense - there is an “advanced” settings in one of the menu’s that lets you adjust the camera setting way down - it’s absolutely perfect (the default setting is horrendous though and would absolutely ruin the game)

Leslie Philips IS Gex for me - as such i am out on this release.

Great games with huge nostalgia as well.

Looks superb. Borderlands 3 is amazing - don’t think the multiplayer limitations are that major - not great but can still play 2 player co-op.

The games are amazing - just incredible.

For the entertainment value you are getting it’s not expensive compared with other activities - going for 1 night out, going to a sporting event or concert etc - these things cost an absolute fortune now

Only started playing the legend of heroes series with tales from zero and have been totally blown away by the quality. If the other games are anywhere near as good i will be delighted

Interestingly I am not a huge JRPG fan - loved Xenoblade Chronicles 2 but never finished ff viii, xii as they were pretty boring tbh

Don’t get the hate for the steam deck on here bizarre tbh - it’s absolutely amazing. Arguments are coming across pretty infantile.

You can like both the switch and the steam deck you know.

Steam deck is absolutely amazing - I love mine - it blows the switch out of the water wrt power and most importantly ergonomics. Handheld play on switch was awkward to me without satisfye / hori pad and they weren’t perfect. It truly is an amazing machine.

BUT - moral arguments aside - it does not play the latest Nintendo games perfectly. If you want the true Nintendo experience - which let’s face it is why many people buy the switch then you absolutely need a switch console and for those fans NOTHING will beat a Nintendo console and rightly so

Assassins creed 2 is one of the best ever video games - loved every minute of it.

Huge Xbox fan - had everyone of their consoles and love what they have done with bc and game pass. Having digital versions of 360 games I bought 10 years ago still on my account and have access to play on the latest hardware - some optimised for it - is superb - bringing pc ideology to consoles

Not a big fan of exclusivity though - Sony have been the masters of this for years while Xbox lagged - Xbox in buying Bethesda didn’t just catch up but eclipsed the competition - only loser here are gamers though

If the control scheme is decent then I will get gta bundle - it’s a big if though.

I am 100% digital now anyway so the physical with download doesn’t come into play for me now. I actually dislike physical anything now - movies, games, books, music - even comics - I just sold my 5k+ issues marvel collection as it was just sitting there - loads of boxes packed with issues I would not read. It began to annoy me. Was pretty therapeutic just selling it all and replacing with some omnibus editions and an iPad Pro 12.9 and digital comics - in truth it’s an incredible reading experience

Would like to see the sales figures on these cloud versions - wouldn’t go near them and struggle to see any sort of appetite for them but someone must be desperate enough to buy them

Bit depressing in truth. A tired list of titles in many ways.

There is a lot of quality on the ps5 and series x (not to mention the PS4 and one)

I hate jrpgs but interestingly xenoblade chronicles 2 is one of the best games I have ever played. Completed the dlc as well.

My only issue is they are a huge time commitment - must have played xc2 and dlc for best part of 150 hours !

I just don’t get the hype for this. It’s not cheap yet looks it.

Xbox series x is an incredible console - still to try flight simulator - in truth not my type of game.

I have a switch and a series x. Have had every Xbox that has came out. I played the switch almost exclusively for 2 years when it came out- it was truly amazing. With the series x I now play more on that though - the quality gap finally outweighs the portability. The games are just incredible on the x.

Game is going to be tremendous.

Best metroidvania on switch is super Metroid on the Nintendo online app.

Mark of the ninja was tremendous - not sure you can call it a metroidvania though.

Blasphemous is punishingly difficult - I have completed dark souls but found this extremely hard.

Thought cave story was pretty poor tbh - highly rated but I just didn’t like it

Pretty tired looking list that tbh. Minecraft, mario kart, animal crossing, ring fit adventure, smash, splatoon - great games but been around for a while now

Great news - game pass with Xbox series x is sensational.
