@Bolt_Strike Microsoft didn't stop Rare from making what they wanted afaik though. If they did I'm pretty sure former Rare employees would've spoken up about that by now.

Remember guys: Rare actively chose to not make a Banjo Threeie on Xbox because they thought there wasn't an install base for that game.... they base their reasoning off of Grabbed By The Ghoulies not selling well.

Sure Grabbed By The Ghoulies might've did better on the Gamecube but I cannot imagine it would've been that huge of a difference.

I have still yet to play either of their games. I'm fine with A Hat in Time being the only 3D platform game I'll play (at least until Billie Bust Up releases)... Though it's interesting to know Impossible Lair seems to have a bit of a cult following in this community since it seems to not get talked about anywhere else.

@NintendoWife MGS is stealth first over combat and the game encourages you to incapacitate guards instead of killing anyone. I'm not the best at the series myself despite all my attempts at playing it but each game has multiple difficulty options if the game being too challenging is a concern.

@NintendoWife Twin Snakes is a bit of a controversial remake of the first MGS for many different reasons. They redubbed the voice acting, the soundtrack is completely different and they redid cutscenes which are animated to be very over the top and are pretty out of place compared to the rest of the series. The controls and gameplay system is the same as MGS2 and if you know your way around that game's controls, you can easily break it's difficulty.

Alright guess I'll buy this on PS5 when it's on sale in that case

Yeah and so did Michel Ancel wanted to bring Rayman back before retiring out of the blue. I wish I wouldn't have so much doubts about Rayman but his revival turned to continued neglect has burned me.

Also unpopular opinion but Rayman Origins is miles better than Legends and it bothers me the way Ubisoft kept porting Legends when I'm sure there would be no problems porting both to every platform.

If the PS3 AND Xbox 360 Versions of MGS 3 can run at 60 fps than why not the Switch version?

30 FPS for MGS 2 & 3? That seems pretty inexcusable since I'm sure these can run at full 60 fps on Switch if they can on the Xbox 360 and PS3

@NatiaAdamo I always figured they had to restart development when they realized the Wii U ship was sinking but that still doesn't explain that large gap between the initial confirmation to finally getting a trailer for Pikmin 4. There's definitely a lot more to this story that we'll probably never get the answers for.

@Eggolor Well I'm well aware it's not a reboot. But I was unsure about it being a continuation or those theories of it being an alternate timeline or prequel.

The Pikmin 3 loose ends felt like they were hastily tied together in Pikmin 3 Deluxe. They not only threw away the sequel bait but they actively contradict what was shown on screen (i.e. Olimar saying the Pikmin got scared and ran away despite how we see them running towards the crashing ship during the ending credits of Pikmin 3).

Does Nintendo even care about the plot of these games anymore? They completely ruined the sequel bait at the end of the credits for Pikmin 3 just to say it was a cutscene for the Olimar side mode in Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Also not to mention retconning Louie staying on the planet at the end of the main game in Pikmin 3. Given what the plot Pikmin 4 is implying, there was some change in philosophy between 2015 and 2020 when Pikmin 3 Deluxe came out.

I'm curious about if they would've at least improved the gameplay in this hypothetical sequel

The Wario voice sounds like how he did in Warioware Gold and Get It Together though
Mario sounds a little off but we haven't heard new voice clips for him in a mainline game since Mario Odyssey which could've been recorded as late as 2016.

The thing is the kind of movie fans would want (i.e. a full on faithful adaptation) will not be something they'd actually make depending on the studio unless it were to be made in Japan.

Emulation software is legal as long as the devs didn't copy software from the console it's an emulation of

@DiamondSky Dude Nintendo has been guilty plenty of times of unfairly copyright blocking videos on Youtube that did nothing wrong. Don't act like every time they did, Nintendo was justified.

A digital copy hasn't been leaked so it's not like people are able to get anywhere near the same experience as viewing it in a theater in this way.

@Ursaking Ratchet & Clank's issue was more about how it was a retelling of the first game that needlessly changed many things including the personalities, dynamic and character development of the titular characters.

He called Ace Attorney "Phoenix Wright series"

Wrongly labeled the 4th game, Apollo Justice a "spinoff"

And acted like the 5th case in the first game was "the finale" when it was just a bonus case that was made for the DS port. The game's main overarching narrative doesn't build up to it at all so Edgeworth's whole character arc gets ignored by Jirad.

I liked the 1st movie more than it's sequel but I will say it was at least way better than what it was nominated against. Also it's odd how Puss in Boots: The Last Wish wasn't nominated in the favorite animated movie category. But whatever this is a not serious award show to begin with since they don't formally present the winner for all of these categories.
