Took an hour or so to sort through 5 years worth of games but I've got:
3D Platformer/Adventure 2D Platformer/ Metroidvania Roguelite Run n gun Fighting Beat em ups FPS Race Horizontal Shmups Vertical Shmups Puzzle Rhythm Sport Pinball
I very nearly ordered this before the reviews came out and had been looking forward to it more than any game in a long time what with promises of gta 5 style gameplay and controls.
Lost all interest now although I might pick it up when it inevitablely hits £5.
At the current rate of one game every 6 weeks, those extra 7 games announced at launch are all we will get until day 1 subscribers are due to renew in October.
I can understand how people who only own a switch might find Nintendo's actions acceptable but if you had seen the amount of value offered by Xbox or even PlayStation, you would see how pathetic this offering is.
Why wasn't Pocket Dungeon released during this presentation. Maybe the developers know that some big games are about to be shadow dropped and decided to get their game out first.
It will be interesting to see if it is early or late January. If late, they are clearly on a 1 game every 6 weeks schedule and plan on making those extra 7 games all we will get until Oct 2022 renewal time.
The more competition the better. The Steam Deck looks a bit expensive but reports of Sony looking into controls with a screen for playing PS5 at home look promising.
I never buy a console until its been out for a few years and it will be the same with the next switch unless they offer backwards compatibility.
I wish Nintendo would allow customers up to 3 refunds a year within an hour of downloading.
While most will take a risk on cheaper games, the fact that there is no way of getting my money back certainly puts me off taking a chance on many full price games.
I am sure they would end up selling more with this policy.
@Gamer_Zeus The problem is, that $50 a year only rents the $270 worth of games. People don't want to rent games that they have bought recently in other collections. We either need a lot more titles that haven't been available elsewhere for a while or the virtual console option where we can pick and choose.
It just goes to show, 137,000 youtube dislikes and Nintendo couldn't care less. And why should they when they have everyone's money for the next year.
I can guarantee you, they will drip feed us those 7 extra games over the next 12 months and thats all we will get.
Then next October they will announce that all the games we had been hoping for this year will be coming soon in the hope that we all lap it up and renew again.
I only wanted San Andreas. A single 20 year old game with updated controls might be worth £30 to me but until we get the GTA5 style controls promised, there are plenty of other games to spend my money on.
I didn't care so much about the graphics but they implied that it would offer GTA5 style controls which is what got me interested.
Vice City felt old and played terribly when I replayed it 10 years ago. Unless we get updated controls, there are lots of more deserving titles for me to spend my money on.
I hope it comes out very early spring. I have a 2 for £84 voucher expiring in February after using the other on Super Mario 3d world at the beginning of the year.
As long as its not too easy I will definitely buy.
I am glad he is enjoying the scrutiny. Many gamers have limited budgets and only buy a couple of full priced games a year. I can guarantee, they are not enjoying having blown their gaming budget on this mess.
They have made their money already from pre orders and will consider this a success. Just because a company has lots of money it doesn't mean they will invest it in future games.
Some company owners just want to get rich now off previous success and don't care about future reputation.
I would have thought the GTA developer sent out review copies early but no reviews yet.
Will wait for the embargo to end.
I remember pre ordering Taxi Chaos at full price after reading false stories that Sega themselves were involved and and it was basically a remaster of Crazy Taxi.

Re: Talking Point: Should We Still Be Pre-Ordering Games?
I bought Taxi Chaos before the reviews came in after reading false stories put out saying it was being published by Sega of Japan.
That said, the lesson learnt saved me from pre ordering GTA Triology.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 14.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
And I was hoping for more stability.
Re: Here's A First Look At The House Of The Dead: Remake Physical Switch Release
I loved the old light gun games such as this, Virtua Cop and Time Crisis.
Not sure how will play under their "modern control methods" but will probably wait until the reviews are in.
Re: Rockstar's GTA Trilogy Is Getting "New Patches" Next Week
I very nearly ordered this before the reviews came out and had been looking forward to it more than any game in a long time what with promises of gta 5 style gameplay and controls.
Lost all interest now although I might pick it up when it inevitablely hits £5.
Re: Soapbox: NSO Isn't Game Pass, But Nintendo Is Learning The Benefits Of Subscription Models
To answer the vote, it depends. If most buy the expansion pack in its current state, why would they feel the need to improve it.
Re: Poll: Will Mario Kart 8's Deluxe Booster Course Pass Make You Buy The NSO Expansion Pack?
It's $25 worth of dlc that will be dripfed over 2 years.
I don't think Sony or Xbox will be getting too worried about loosing their subscribers to this service.
I suppose it makes the expansion pack marginally better but compared to the competition, its still shockingly bad value.
Re: Metroid Dread Is Getting Free Updates, And The First Arrives Today
Rookie mode will be very welcome. The EMI encounters were just annoying and taking the enjoyment out of the game for me.
Re: Nintendo Announces Huge Switch Sale, More Than 1,000 Games To Be Discounted
In the last sale I noticed Mario Golf was only 20% off. I hope Nintendo don't plan on making discounts even smaller until the game is really old.
If lots of people still bought it at this tiny discount, I guess they will.
Re: Shovel Knight's Puzzle Game Is Getting A Free Update And Three DLC Packs
I would have preferred it if they had given more upgrades as a reward for grinding.
Re: Grand Theft Auto Trilogy's Physical Edition On Switch Launches Next Month
@nib0 Slightly better in one or two areas but still terrible framerates and a buggy, unplayable mess.
Re: Grand Theft Auto Trilogy's Physical Edition On Switch Launches Next Month
Will be in the bargain bins for £5 within months
Re: Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Has "Done Just Great" Despite Disastrous Launch
@ShinG67 If a perfect version of GTA5 or RDR2 landed on switch, most including me would probably forgive.
That said, Rockstars pre orders will probably never be the same again.
Re: Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Has "Done Just Great" Despite Disastrous Launch
They might have done great but this is because they had a good reputation which has now been lost.
I'm not saying people won't buy their games again but most will be wary and wait until all reviews are in in future.
Re: Banjo-Kazooie Joins Switch Online's Expansion Pack This Week

Re: The New ZenGrip Pro For Nintendo Switch OLED Might Be Worth A Look
The original Satisfye Grip was easily the best switch accessory and having to use a cheaper grip was the one problem with switching to the Oled.
As soon as the new Zengrip is available to buy from a UK store, I will get one.
Re: Analyst Predicts 2024 Release Date For Next-Gen Nintendo Switch Successor
I would prefer a new console rather than a slight upgrade. I just hope it is compatible with last generation games like ps5 and xbox.
The real question is, will the switch get folders before 2024?
Re: Poll: It's The Year Of Splatoon 3 - Are You Excited?
@Medic_Alert The octo expansion is great and offers a lot of variety. It is arguably a bigger difference than that between Splatoon 1 and 2.
One warning. Unless you enjoy Dark Souls or Super Meat Boy difficulty with long load times, it can be very frustrating.
Re: Poll: It's The Year Of Splatoon 3 - Are You Excited?
While I enjoyed Splatoon 2, I got bored with it quicker than most games. I got the DLC to try and get more out of it but that was really difficult.
Splatoon 3 will need to have an original and much longer single player mode for me to buy at full price again.
Re: PEGI Rating Suggests Zombie Army 4: Dead War Is On The Way To Switch
So many of these zombie games are designed primarily for multiplayer.
I wish we could have a game with a decent horde mode for single players.
Using game AI never works and single player mode always ends up being way to difficult.
Re: Best Of 2021: "The eShop Is Just Way Too Slow" - Deku Deals Creator On Nintendo's Switch Storefront
Brilliant site. It has saved me a fortune and helped me discover games I would never have known about.
Re: The 'Panda' GameCube Controller Kickstarter Has Been Cancelled
Honest to return customers money but highest quality parts from China?
Re: Round Up: Every Switch Game Announced In Nintendo's Indie World Showcase - December 2021
@Luffymcduck It's coming out on 20th January.
Re: Round Up: Every Switch Game Announced In Nintendo's Indie World Showcase - December 2021
Nice to see OlliOlli and River City Girls but we knew about these already.
Nothing new that caught my eye. Every other Indie Direct has had at least one or two new reveals or stealth drops that I have bought.
Worst one so far for me but I understand that some will love it. There's a sale tomorrow anyway.
Re: Nintendo Announces Massive Sale, 1000+ Games Up To 75% Off (Europe)
Oh no, I'm still recovering from the Black Friday sale
Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase To Air Tomorrow, 15th December
Why wasn't Pocket Dungeon released during this presentation. Maybe the developers know that some big games are about to be shadow dropped and decided to get their game out first.
Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase To Air Tomorrow, 15th December
House of the dead or Silksong would be great.
These Indie Directs normally have at least one or two games that I end up buying.

AAA Clock footage knowing Nintendo.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 13.2.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Nearly five years and still no folders. At least allow us to drag games into some sort of order Nintendo.
Re: GTA Trilogy Gets Another Update, Heading To Switch 'In The Coming Days'
I didn't care so much about the graphics but they implied that it would offer GTA5 style controls which is what got me interested.
Vice City felt old and played terribly when I replayed it 10 years ago. Unless we get updated controls, there are lots of more deserving titles for me to spend my money on.
Re: Arcade Mode Update Is Now Live In Huntdown On Switch
Could have done with an easier mode instead. Gave up on it ages ago.
Re: Mini Review: Real Boxing 2 - A Pitifully Poor Punch-Out That Should Have Stayed On Phones
I recently ordered Big Rumble Boxing in the sale and that was terrible too. Way too simple with just repeated pressing of one button for combinations.
I wish they could remake the Dreamcast classic Ready 2 Rumble.
Re: Digital Foundry Continues GTA Trilogy Analysis, Sets Switch As 'Bottom Tier' Version
The switch always was going to be the weakest version but updated graphics weren't what I wanted.
If they could have somehow given us the old PS2 graphics along with GTA 5 style controls, they would have had my money.
Re: Kirby And The Forgotten Land Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch
I hope it comes out very early spring. I have a 2 for £84 voucher expiring in February after using the other on Super Mario 3d world at the beginning of the year.

Re: Nintendo Announces Enormous Cyber Switch Sale That Will Discount More Than 1,000 Games
@NinChocolate It does look pretty nice. The problem is when you play it.
Re: Nintendo Announces Enormous Cyber Switch Sale That Will Discount More Than 1,000 Games
I might download the demos for Age of Calamity and Pikmin to see if they are worth picking up.
There are over 100 games on my wishlist but they rarely hit the discounted price I am after.

Re: GTA Trilogy Could Be This Year's 'Cyberpunk 2077' As Rockstar Is Flooded With Refund Requests
It seems like Rockstar have purposely misled people and I hope they are forced to give refunds to those who bought it.
The lesson is, never buy a game without reviews. Especially if there is a review embargo or pre order sale ending before the release date.
Re: Feature: "The eShop Is Just Way Too Slow" - Deku Deals Creator On Nintendo's Switch Storefront
Deku Deals is a brilliant site. It has saved me a great deal of money and also helped me discover hidden gems.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 13th)
In the end I bought Dicey Dungeons for £3 to help me get over the disappointment of no decent GTA on switch.
I'm still hoping there's a patch or sale of San andreas on its own.
Re: Review: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition - Three Classics In One Shocking Package

Re: GTA Trilogy Dataminers Find Missing Music In Code As Problems Mount For 'Definitive' Release
@MarioBrickLayer Rockstar didn't send out any pre release copies to reviewers so they are playing through it at the same time as everyone else.
I expect they knew many people would buy on day one without reviews so why let reviewers persuade them otherwise.
Re: Watch: This Is What Grand Theft Auto Definitive Trilogy Looks Like On Switch
Is there still an embargo preventing sites from commenting on this game.
Doesn't look terrible to my untrained eye but I would like to know if the controls and gameplay have been brought up to date.
Re: Nintendo Download: 11th November (North America)
I would have thought the GTA developer sent out review copies early but no reviews yet.
Will wait for the embargo to end.
