I can understand that it may be worth it for those who grew up playing these games but after Shredders Revenge, the price is a bit high for another load of similar but slightly inferior beat em ups.

There are many beat em up compilations like Capcom Beat em up bundle and Megadrive collection that offer much more variety at a fraction of the price.

I'll probably wait for a sale.

I voted 64 as it wowed more on release. It was one of a handful of games where I was truly amazed the first time I played it. Blue storm was a much more complete game and the one I would buy if I had a choice between the two today.

I was worried that the game might have aged but it's just as enjoyable today as 25 years ago.

While the sharper graphics are nice, it's a shame they can't use at least the full height of the screen

Couldn't they just call it Splatoon 2 Legacy Edition.

Why are so many games are designed around multi player, being either harder or not as fun in single player. I'm sure most people play video games on their own.

Well it gave them some free advertising anyway.

My worry is how it will effect Splatoon 2. At the moment it's easy to get a match on Splatoon 2 but if Splatoon 3 isn't that much of an improvement and sells badly, it could still take a hefty proportion of the online players.

Effectively halving the online community for both games.

I'd love to play quake arena again.

The amount of time doesn't matter. Its how many improvements it has made.

If its different enough I'll buy it, if its like the incremental changes made to some football or call of duty games each year I won't bother.

@msvt Yeah, I agree. Not sure I agree with blatantly ripping off another game but they have set the price to a more realistic level. Its £1 on mobile.

@Arawn93 Good point but I can't afford to spend $60 for 3 hours playtime. There are decent football, tennis and basketball games that regularly go on sale for under $10.

There isn't a single Mario sports game that I have played for more than 3 hours.

They just don't provide enough content for single players.

I later got a spectrum 48k with Arkanoid. The games came on tapes and took about 20 minutes to load, often failing leaving you to try again.

For Fighting Collection owners it's probably best to buy any titles of interest separately. Though at $4 each they are twice the cost of games in the first Arcade Stadium.

I'm not surprised game spending is down.

There's been very little worth buying at full price.

I'd prefer a price cut.

Especially when games like Fight n Rage and Scott Pilgrim are available for way less.

If they are limiting repairs to six times a year they obviously know there is an ongoing issue.

One of the white joycons on my switch oled (manufactured recently) went within a couple of months and the whole process to get it fixed took a couple of weeks.

If it were cheaper to by a spare set, it wouldn't have bothered me but due to the cost, this was my only control so I was left unable to play my switch.

Easily the slowest year for decent games for me.

Will wait for reviews but if its good, I'll buy.

Something for everyone there.....apart from me.

I can see how many enjoyed it but it seemed like a mix of JRPGs, Strategy games and sims.

Not much for those who like shmups, fighting / racing games, 2d platformer, roguelikes, metroidvanias or generally action / arcade type games.

I might wait and see what the reviews are like for Little Noah.

It's a shame it isn't a full direct but some of the partner showcases can be better than the full events. In September 2020, we got both Hades and Ori Will of the Wisps shadow dropped in a mini direct.

I would much prefer Silksong, Rogue legacy 2, Rhythm Heaven Megamix and Red Dead Redemption 2 to many 1st party titles.

@steventonysmith Rogue Legacy 2 would be up there with Silksong on my wishlist.

I'd love a new Wario 2d platformer and Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

As most of the titles on this will also be available on Capcom 2nd Arcade Stadium in July, I'll probably pick up the couple I want for $4 each on that.

The best chance for Nintendo is to just keep evolving the Switch, keeping it backwards compatible a bit like iphone. That way, they will keep the massive customer base.

Three of the dark stalkers games plus gem fighter and puzzle fighter will be on the capcom 2nd arcade compilation for $4 each so I could get the 5 games I want mist for $20.

I'm not really interested in any of the other games apart from Red Earth so will either wait for a sale or just get them separately on capcom arcade.

I downloaded it at midnight but it still isn't available to play in the UK.

I can't see Capcom selling these games separately for $2 each anytime soon as it'll take away the upcoming Fighting Collection sales

@relinqued Online seems very good st the moment. Probably people practicing for when 3 comes out.

I don't know how well 3 will sell though, especially if it doest move far forward from 2. This could hurt online for both games.

I'd love to see another Rhythm Heaven game.

Looks good but at the same price as Street of Rage 4, I'll be waiting until the reviews are in.

I'm tempted by the steam deck but think I may invest in a PS5 to compliment my switch oled.

The Switch is fine for most 1st party nintendo games in handheld and more graphically demanding games can be covered by the PlayStation.

It's a shame that Nintendo don't offer something to persuade customers to buy all games for their systems but they have found their market and I can't see them trying to complete with Microsoft and Sony when the Switch 2 comes out.

Weakest Indie World direct I have ever seen. There has always been at least a couple of games that I have bought from each previous presentation but can't see myself buying any of these.

Backwards compatibility pretty much guarantees that I will buy a new console at launch, especially if it improves current games slightly.

No matter how good, all new consoles have limited games at launch and if it doesn't improve my current library of games slightly, there is no reason for me not to sit back and wait a while.

Despite fond memories, I haven't really got into any of the N64 titles so far. The DLC packs have made it worthwhile for me though.

I've noticed Nintendo has dropped the discount from the normal 33% to 20% on some of their newer games like mario golf.

I hope that not too many people buy at this discount otherwise they will reduce discounts to 20% for all future sales.

I wish we could get some more games that aren't already in the classics collection.

There are more original GBA games than I remembered.

I always thought of this console as full of slightly graphically inferior snes games which was great for handheld at the time but not so much on a system that already has those snes games.

But I would definitely like to play Kuru Kuru Kururin the Metroid and Wario games again.

It would be tempting to upgrade if it was a decent improvement. The only thing holding me back would be the likelihood of a switch 2 being announced soon after.

I remember buying the New 3DS in 2015 which only added SNES software and improved a few games very slightly. Then the switch was announced the next year.

The Switch has by far been the most played console I have ever owned. The only thing holding it back was the amount of games ported over from the Wii U. While all great games, Wii owners would have preferred new games rather than paying twice for very similar copies of Mario Kart, BOTW, Donkey Kong to name a few.

No GTA trilogy?

I'm so used to moaning about no folders when these updates come out.

While PlayStation Premium is much more than Nintendo's expansion pack, their Extra tier is only a bit extra and offers so much more.

While PlayStation and Xbox services are getting current games every month together with a library of hundreds of previous generation games, we are left with a remote possibility of a couple of 30 year old games.

When it comes to the date of the switch replacement, I would prefer to wait until they are ready with a huge rather than incremental upgrade.

I remember being completely wowed by the upgrade of snes to n64, ps1 to ps2 and so on. Recent consoles like ps4 to ps5 and wii u to switch haven't given us massive graphical upgrades.

Not saying the switch isn't way better than the Wii U but look at the difference between their versions of MarioKart and Donkey Kong. It doesn't immediately jump out at you.
