Re: Square Enix Switch 2 Launch Title Scores A Limited-Time Discount

I'm a massive JRPG fan, but selling this digital only slightly updated 13 year old 3DS game for this amount of money is not my cup of tea. At least release the game on a proper physical gamecard if you're planning to sell the game at this price.
Star Wars Outlaws I can understand, but don't tell me the memory on the SD Express card wasn't streaming/loading data quick enough for this game.

Re: Opinion: Third-Party Support For Switch 2 Is Already A Dream Come True

Why is there so much complaining?
The only thing really worth complaining about is the game-key card situation. This was something no customers asked for, wished for, or wanted. The sudden major shift from physical media to non-physical media on a Nintendo platform caught me by surprise. I can understand it for indie games, but major third-party publishers?!

People complaining about performance and games on the Switch 2 sometimes baffle me. You should never have expected PS5-level graphics on a handheld device that costs less than a PS5.
I definitely don't mind seeing games from the PS4 and PS5 era getting re-released for Nintendo's handheld. Playing games like Cyberpunk and Star Wars Outlaws on this device was a great experience that I enjoyed very much.

I personally can't wait to see what other releases are coming to the Switch 2.

No I need to save money for a 1 TB memorycard and that sucks

Re: Switch 2 Reportedly Sold 2.4 Million Units In First Three Months On The Market (US)

My wife was the one that told me to buy the crappy switch 1... Now years later I'm considering the S1 my favorite console. This made me also buy the Switch 2 at launch.
I honestly don't understand the comments about lack of games. I had a huge backlog of S1 games that I can still play but with much needed better performance on the S2.
I have multiple Switch 2 games, that I barely had any time to play.
Yes, the gamekeycard is a crime against humanity, but I consider the S2 a very good hybrid console.

@Nintendo4Sonic

Have you ever seen a console game at the beginning of it's lifecycle and 3-4 years later?
It's quite a big gap in one console generation -> Tekken 1 vs Tekken 3. Final Fantasy 7 vs Final Fantasy 9.
Resistance 1 vs 3.
Handheld? Look at the Vita first-person shooters. Early game Resistance or Call of Duty vs Killzone: Mercenary.

Series S already 4 years old when it got Star Wars Outlaws. They are just starting on the Switch 2.

I don't care what's powerful or not. I just want a minimum 30 fps with steady frame-time. 60 fps is even better but not a must.

Switch 2 goes beyond what I expected. I honestly thought that base PS4 graphics/performance would be the max.

Now I'm enjoying Star Wars Outlaws with great looking graphics for a hybrid console at an acceptable price.

Can't wait to play Elden Ring in handheld. Recent footage was way better optimised.

"I have a bad feeling about this (game)"

This game was on my wishlist. I could've handle poor gameplay if the world is interesting enough. I even waited to buy it on Switch 2 because I really wanted to play this in bed.
Also I could've forgive 30 fps and some small stutters during gameplay...

But I won't be buying this because....
My main issue is that this game won't have a proper physical release... I just can't support this. Buying games for 60/70 euros and not having the game on the cartridge. If the dev saved loads of money on production then the sure won't mind me not giving them my money.

Re: Nintendo Sends Out Second Game-Key Card & Physical Game Survey

Completed the survey a few hours ago. Explained why I would never buy a GKC for myself or a friend.
With the increasing downloadsize of videogames and the lack of free memory on Switch 2 (I bought a 256 GB memorycard on launch) I much prefer having the games on the gamecard.
Also I'm not against digital only games, but make those memorycards much cheaper for the consumer or make it financialy attractive for developpers to release their game on a cartridge.
