Which 3DS franchises or sequels to 3DS games should come to the Switch now that their development teams have fused together and work on one system? Besides Pokémon, of course haha!

I am SO excited for the event! They just need to look at their Wii U reveal and do the opposite. The presentation should consist of these segments:

1. Full features of the system, controllers, OS
2. Live demos of at least 3 big tentpole games (Zelda, Mario, surprise reveal of another big franchise or a new franchise)
3. Sizzle reel of developer interviews and other new games from 1st, 2nd and 3rd parties
4. Virtual Console relaunch, push the concept of N64 and GameCube games on the go
5. eShop, sharing on social media and Miiverse, streaming options on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Spotify
6. Release date, bundles, price

Wonderful game. I played the original on the PS2 and I will play it again on the 3DS!

My head is spinning about the Treehouse Live Show...what will they show besides Zelda and Mario? The rumored Mario x Rabbids crossover? Pikmin 4? Switch versions of Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, Pokkén Tournament or Super Smash Bros. 4? A new Metroid or Donkey Kong Country? Maybe Kirby, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion or Fire Emblem? What about Pokémon Stars? Or a new franchise?

Share some fun memories of 2016, if there are any...I know i'm asking almost too much haha. What games did you guys enjoy the most?

It could also be games from 2015 or earlier, I played most of XCX and Paper Jam this year while they both got released last year in Europe.

My 3DS highlights of 2016:

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and Return to Popolocrois in early 2016.
Fire Emblem Fates and Kirby: Planet Robobot in the Spring/Summer.
At the moment busy with Dragon Quest VII and Pokémon Moon.

My 2016 looked like this on Wii U:

January and February: Xenoblade Chronicles X
March - May: Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Star Fox Zero
June - September: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Axiom Verge, Severed
October - December: Paper Mario: Color Splash, SteamWorld Heist and i'm getting Shantae: Half-Genie Hero next week.

It was nice but I expected a full trailer after the teaser in the pre show. Guess that has to wait until Jan 12/13.

Can't wait to play this game again. Played it maybe 10 years ago on the PS2. An absolute high quality JRPG and a high point for me in the Dragon Quest series.

Is Europe the 'smallest' market for Pokémon? I guess the numbers are even bigger in the US and Japan.

I really hope to see a more detailed story trailer with NPC's, a bit like the 2nd Twilight Princess trailer of E3 2005. Set the stage for the actual story please!

Nice week for Nintendo, finally! Hopefully from now on the charts will count the 3DS and 3DS XL as one, and the New 3DS and New 3DS XL as one, because it's getting a bit a messy haha

Though it's not really a rumour that Monolith Soft is working on a new game for the Switch, as the title of this article suggests. I do think it will be out in 2018 at the earliest, 2019 maybe even more realistic. XC launched in 2010 for Wii in Japan, XCX in 2015. Hope we don't have to wait another 5 years.

Nice to see Popolocrois in that list. Very nice game. Wish Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and Fantasy Life were on it as well.

Maybe the last time to grab some indie titles I missed, excited to see which indie games will be discounted.

@Ralizah Oh really? I usually play in the evenings after college/work. So then it will be daytime in-game if i'm correct? And now and then during lunch time it will be nighttime in-game? Funny twist.

As a noob, what are the big differences between the 2 versions? I'm not familiar with the different Pokémon, the Moon legendary Lunala looks awesome. Only I don't want to play during the ingame night time all the time.

I REALLY want an upgrade program for owners of the Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Pokkén Tournament and Super Mario Maker. Add DLC like characters, stages, courses, options, updated graphics and i'm in, for 20 euros/dollars.

All the other Wii U games need to be available through the Switch eShop under the 'Wii U Classic' label, for all those who missed them the first time.

@Iggy-Koopa Let me see, fan of Zelda? Get A Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, or download the classics A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening DX, Oracle of Ages/Seasons. That's already a lot of gaming hours.

More into the mushroom Kingdom? I can recommend Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Mario vs. DK: Tipping Stars or the classic Super Mario World.

There're just too much to recommend... Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fire Emblem Fates, Fantasy Life, Kirby: Planet Robobot, Dragon Quest VII, SteamWorld Dig/Heist and the upcoming Pokémon Sun & Moon to name a few.
