Mario Tennis 64 for me! Finally available on Wii U without Ultra Smash!

I love this series, including Dream Team! This one is a must buy for me! I dare to say I love this spinoff rpg series more than the platformers.

It's so bittersweet to see Iwata in his last Direct. He really seemed a bit ill and thin compared to other Directs. I miss him so much, I will never forget his E3 2005 entrance: "Who's your daddy?" to Reggie.

Was Disney Magical World 2 also announced for the West? Haven't heard much about the game. My brother liked the first one a lot.

@Wouwter Indeed! I hope they can get free-to-play right. I'm on board to give their mobile games at least a try, though the 3DS will remain my mobile gaming device at least throughout 2016 with all the RPGs coming.

Maybe no one cares but I really hope they will announce a DLC plan for Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. This game needs online events (not just online play), offline tourneys, crazy courts, characters...

@Krisi Ah okay, didn't know that about the GBA version. Well, I hope for once they don't judge the success of that series on sales numbers. It's not a mainstream blockbusters, more of a niche game for the fans. I hope they don't cost much to develop so the sales wouldn't matter anyway.

@Krisi I noticed that too. I have my hopes up for a Summer 2016 release for Rhythm Paradise 3DS, I think all the previous games in the series came to the West too.

@PHDragoon I mean the one on the right looks like the XL version to me. It doesn't have the coloured buttons like the small 3DS. Watch it again, at the end of the video.

Remember the days when there was only 1 female character to choose, like Peach in Mario Kart 64? It's nice to see how female friendly Nintendo has become with Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Toadette and Sprixie in this game.

If the past 2 years are an indication then I think a Direct will be held in the 1st or 2nd week of November. What to show? Rest of the Holiday titles and games for early 2016.

Well guys, I got this theory: the last 2 years Nintendo held a Direct on November 13th in 2013 and on November 5th in 2014.

I'm pretty sure we'll get a Direct around that time.

Turn the negativity around my people. Just look at it this way: If you're interested in the Animal Crossing amiibo, you can buy them separately or with the bundle, which means you get the game for free.

A+mazing! This will be my final LEGO game and I can't think of a better way to say goodbye to these type of LEGO games with the Jurassic Park brand. So much nostalgia

I think Nintendo should announce a seasonal limited edition Super Smash Bros. Bundle for $250 with a promotional code to get 1 free game... Like they did with Mario Kart 8. After the holidays the bundle can go back to $300 if the Xbox One returns to its normal price of $400 and the PS4 stays at $400.

Nintendo needs to release more bundles for the Wii U asap... A bundle with Smash is a must! And a promotion with getting 1 game free if you register Smash, like they did with Mario Kart 8. All this followed by a price cut in the Spring of 2015.

I NEED SOME AGGRESSIVE PROMOTION RIGHT NOW!

But yes, 2015 will be better... Too bad it took so long, the console got released in freaking 2012!!! Stil love my Wii U though

Concerning the Wii U... It's just very poor scheduling of its games simply because of the lack there of. October and November are barren in Japan. Captain Toad comes out there on Nov 13 and Smash on Dec 6... that's it. The Wii U needs at least some quirky Japanese games, but sadly even those games aren't being developed anymore.

I'm really excited about the Digital Event stream! Sounds already cooler and hopefully it will be more professionally produced than those boring Directs.

Well, this sounds more interesting than a longer Nintendo Direct...hope they approach the stream in a very different, vibrant, cool way. I'm tired of the weird Nintendo Direct videos.

I hope Nintendo will give Kuju Entertainment one last chance to make a 3rd Battalion Wars, this time with much better controls, HD graphics, online multiplayer. I think the GamePad could be implemented in very clever ways for this action/strategy title. Maybe I'm the only one, but I loved part 2 on the Wii

Maybe Nintendo will now focus on the real games for the fans on the Wii U...and let all those nongames shine on their Quality of Health platform next year. Maybe we will be a niche, but we will have a system just for us. I WANT AMAZING NINTENDO GAMES FOR NINTENDO GAMERS!!!

• Updates about: Yoshi’s New Island, Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Disney Magical World, Mario Golf: World Tour and Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy for the US.
• eShop titles: Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, Nintendo Pocket Football Club (interesting for soccer fans in Europe), Moon Chronicles, Shovel Knight, Treasurenauts
• Hope to see Fantasy Life and the Dragon Quest 7 remake announced too.

Predictions for Wii U:

• Updates about Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8
• Updates about eShop titles like: Child of Light, Wooden Sen’SeY, Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails, Shovel Knight, Tengami and Pier Solar HD

Although it says only Spring, but when are we going to see more about X, Bayonetta 2, Yoshi Wii U and Fire Emblem VS Shin Megami Tensei? Want to see a surprise announcement too and more Virtual Console games.

These upcoming months will be very important for Nintendo, they must shine (AND GIVE A LIVE PRESENTATION!!!) at E3 with a new look and strategy.

PS: please invest in those Nintendo Directs...painfully to watch from a marketing perspective, though I like the idea and surprises now and then.

@BrightBeing I just don't think that a 'high end powered up' Wii U would've brought in the hardcore audience. Those gamers stuck with their games and communities on the PS3/360 era and now they're upgrading to their respective successors.

@Kmno I totally get what you mean. But yes, the GamePad didn't really convince me to buy the Wii U. As I read in the Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze preview, even Retro/Nintendo don't really know anymore what to do with it. And I guess Mario Kart 8, Smash and Bayonetta 2 also won't blow me away with the usage of the GamePad.

One thing though: I really don't think that after the Wii generation hardcore gamers would suddenly come back to buy a Wii U even if the console would've had the specs of the PS4/Xbox One because they got attached to the games and communities around those systems.

I just hope they do something, this way is a dead end to me...I didn't bought a Wii U to stare at a blank screen while playing a high profile 1st party game like Donkey... But maybe I did if it was marketed as the next HD console from Nintendo with traditional controls haha

@Kmno But is it really bad to have 'just a PS3 or 360 from Nintendo'? If the games are amazing for us with a normal control scheme, the Nintendo fans, why shouldn't they just be on the Pro Controller? The PS3/360 got great games in their cycle. After all those years with the WiiRemote I thought most Nintendo fans wanted to have a traditional controller again, while still supporting the WiiRemote/nunchuck. They can sell the GamePad as a premium value accessory, to have a 'complete' Wii U experience.
