@Kirk Too bad! I sadly don't have the patience to learn a control scheme for a few hours. It's their responsibility to create controls that are easily picked up and ready to go.
I'm confused, can someone please help me? Is it required to use the cockpit view on the GamePad? I read somewhere it's possible to just focus on the TV. I really can't stand confusing controls, I just don't have the time to spend it on a learning curve.
@VanillaLake OMG...all 3 consoles?! How do you keep up? Well, you can't haha. I'm stressing out with my 3DS/Wii U combo. But I do like to invest in eShop and Virtual Console games for both to keep me busy.
@VanillaLake No Mario Tennis for me then, maybe on the NX
On the list of games: Thanks very much! I already have a couple of those games with FE Awakening, Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Luigi's Mansion 2 as my favorites.
Any thoughts on Fantasy Life and/or Tales of the Abyss?
The game feels like a launch or launch window game, please hear me out and don't kill me. It seems to me it's like a typical game to show off the experimental controls. Combine it with an, in all honesty, second tier but loved franchise and you have a nice 'hook' to introduce players to the GamePad and to revive a franchise. Instead it's one of Wii U's last exclusive title.
@VanillaLake Yeah indeed! I had the GameCube version all these years but I sold my GameCube, Wii and the game. Alwasy thought the Wii U version would be awesome, but then Ultra Smash happened
@heyzeus002 Oh okay, I was wondering about that yeah. I know the N64 version is way better but those graphics...I can't haha. 3DS version would look nice on my 3DS. But in the end: I want the best version.
@VanillaLake I loved the GameCube version back in the day. I read a lot about the game being empty/shallow. Isn't there a solo/tournament mode or high difficulty to keep coming back to?
@VanillaLake Thanks! I waited so long for this day to decide wether to buy 64 3D or Zero and I finally made my decision. Thankfully I have enough space left on my SD card.
PS: Is Mario Tennis Open also worth 20 euros digitally?
@Xenocity But digitally will net me some Gold Points for My Nintendo. It seems like a type of game to pick it up and play now and then so digital would be better I guess.
@Mr_Zurkon Indeed! Especially if you live in Europe like I do. I liked Return to PopoloCrois and Bravely Second a lot and we're still waiting for Yo-Kai Watch (April 29) and Fire Emblem Fates (May 20). Lots of variety in the RPG's too
I got to say the 3DS has a way better release schedule this year compared to 2015. Maybe not something for everyone but the system is alive and content keeps on coming.
Nice to see they're giving the Wii U a decent PR send off before any official talk of the NX going forward. All other Wii U games won't get the attention because the NX will be their priority.
1. Ocarina of Time - I will never forget what a magical adventure that was, way ahead of its time in 1998. That Sheik unveiling!
2. The Wind Waker - Although it was on the easy and short side, it's still a magical and atmospheric journey with nice nods to OoT and beautiful graphics.
3. Twilight Princess - Also a bit on the easy side, but it was the biggest game in the series with some of the best dungeons and I loved the story of Zant and Midna.
I think just like Awakening this game will get released in April in Europe. Just like when Awakening came out in February 2013 in North America and in April in Europe. Must buy by the way
@TheWPCTraveler Well, it has been a lot worse in other years...this is just from Feb to April, except the last 2 games I mentioned. It's not the best release schedule but there are still games coming and a few I didn't mention.
Paper Jam is to me a return to form for both the Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario series, although the game is obviously 80% Mario & Luigi. All the tutorials are skippable, they refer to the menu for all the tutorials and that's it. If you have any love for both series, this is a must buy!
Wii U Retail: Xenoblade Chronicles X, runner up: Splatoon
Wii U eShop: Swords & Soldiers II, runner up: Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
3DS Retail: Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros., runner up: Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D
3DS eShop: SteamWorld Heist, runner up: 3D Gunstar Heroes
Too bad Swords & Soldier II isn't on the Wii U eShop top 5. I really love that game. And in my opinion, Xenoblade Chronicles X deserved to be a few places higher on the Wii U Retail list. I would also put Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on it. The game came out this year here where I live and I loved it.
Where are Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. and Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.? Definitely better than Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, New Style Boutique 2 and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. And I really miss 3D Gunstar Heroes on the 3DS eShop list. But it's nice to see what you fellow gamers like
@Octane Nintendo really believes in that character yes! To make Bayonetta available on Smash 3DS & Wii U gives her even more exposure. And that sexy amiibo will help too!
@faint I really hope so. It would be smart for them to do some cross promotion when the Bayonetta DLC comes out, like a sales promotion for Bayonetta 1 and 2.
Even though Corrin is another Fire Emblem character, they did their best to make it very interesting with all the dragon actions! Looking forward to it!

Re: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U Will Be The Only Playable Nintendo Game at E3
Wondering when they'll reveal the NX later this year. What would be a good time? October?
Re: Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle Offers Games at a Huge Discount
Freedom Planet, anyone? For me?
Re: Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle Offers Games at a Huge Discount
Here's my European extra code of Shantae and the Pirate's Curse for Wii U: B0LGFHG24NNJ64RY
If someone has a EU code of Freedom Planet, please and thank you...

Re: Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle Offers Games at a Huge Discount
Hihi, there's a demand for Freedom Planet. Pick me please, look at my sweet Toad...be kind to him (and me)
Re: Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle Offers Games at a Huge Discount
Is there someone here with an extra code for Freedom Planet? I'd be very happy
I have an extra code for Shantae and the Pirate's Curse on Wii U. Let me know if you're interested.

@VanillaLake I understand. In my case, i'm 27...sadly but sometimes life gets in the way of gaming haha.
I'm gonna stop: getting the feeling i'm spamming this comment section of Star Fox Zero

@Xenocity Thanks for commenting! Oh really? It's everywhere availabe in stores here in Europe as part of the Nintendo Selects branding.
Re: Review: Star Fox Zero (Wii U)
Hey guys, a question: Can I just go and buy Star Fox 64 3D for the 3DS? Sounds like the best version to me...
Re: Review: Star Fox Zero (Wii U)
Excuuuuse me! But I think Paper Mario: Color Splash will be the last great Wii U exclusive! Stay fresh

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Liberates North America This August
Looking forward to this game. Only wish is if it was a new franchise so it wouldn't have the extreme high expectations of the Metroid Prime series.
Re: Star Fox Zero Animated Short Takes Off This Wednesday
Nice to see they're giving the Wii U a decent PR send off before any official talk of the NX going forward. All other Wii U games won't get the attention because the NX will be their priority.
It was a nice Spring for me with Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Director's Cut, Pokkén Tournament and hopefully Star Fox Zero / Guard.
Re: Review: Return to Popolocrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale (3DS)
I was waiting for this review! Can't wait to get paid at the end of the month to finally buy this game from the eShop!
Re: A Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Is On the Way
@NintyMan Already confirmed nothing about NX (and mobile).
Re: A Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Is On the Way
What if Zelda Wii U was shown and really just a Wii U game for this year? What if a NX version would arrive in 2017 alongside the NX? Which meand NX won't be out this year. With Zelda on Wii U and Pokémon on 3DS that's a better Holiday line up than last year.
Re: Poll: Vote for Your Favourite Legend of Zelda Games - 30th Anniversary Edition
My top 3:

Can't wait to see how Stella Glow plays! Thankfully i'm a RPG fan, feels like the best year for the 3DS since 2013!

Re: Sony Hardware and Exclusives Dominate in Japanese Charts as Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Has a Decent Start
@Gerbwmu The Wii U and 3DS seem to have a reasonable release schedule in Japan for the last couple of months. Leading up to April they'll get Mario & Sonic, Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Pokkén Tournament, Star Fox Zero, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final, Mega Man Legacy Collection, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 with Monster Hunter Stories and Yo-kai Watch 3 coming later this Spring or Summer in Japan.
Re: Pokkén Tournament Will be Picking Fights on 18th March
What will happen after April?
Mario & Sonic... SMT X FE... Yooka Laylee... Zelda...
Re: Pokkén Tournament Will be Picking Fights in Europe on 18th March
And now that Star Fox Zero delay... I hope not hehe!

Already available in NA, but i'm really looking forward to Stella Glow in Europe!
Re: Game of the Year: Nintendo Life's Staff Awards 2015
I know no one asked but here is my list of 2015!
Wii U Retail: Xenoblade Chronicles X, runner up: Splatoon
Wii U eShop: Swords & Soldiers II, runner up: Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
3DS Retail: Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros., runner up: Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D
3DS eShop: SteamWorld Heist, runner up: 3D Gunstar Heroes

Re: Editorial: Xenoblade Chronicles X Has Tiny Text - Time for an Update?
I totally agree with this article. I thought I was the only one. The game gives me headaches after a while...
Re: Wii U and 3DS Hardware Sales Lead the Way in Japan
@aaronsullivan Yeah, I totally agree with everything you said. And yes, Oct and Nov were not good here haha, thankfully XCX made my Dec awesome.
Re: Wii U and 3DS Hardware Sales Lead the Way in Japan
@Octane I think so, although wikipedia isn't the best source I can't recall seeing any commercial or something Japanese related to the game.
Re: Wii U and 3DS Hardware Sales Lead the Way in Japan
Glad to see these results. And the Wii U has some sort of momentum in releases these upcoming months in Japan:
Re: Ryu, Roy and Famicom R.O.B. amiibo Will Be Released On 18th March
I made room for my precious Ryu, Cloud and Bayonetta amiibo! Can't believe i'm typing these 3 names in relation to amiibo...(small) dream come true!
Re: Bayonetta Confirmed as New Challenger in Super Smash Bros.
@Octane Nintendo really believes in that character yes! To make Bayonetta available on Smash 3DS & Wii U gives her even more exposure. And that sexy amiibo will help too!
Re: Bayonetta Confirmed as New Challenger in Super Smash Bros.
@faint I really hope so. It would be smart for them to do some cross promotion when the Bayonetta DLC comes out, like a sales promotion for Bayonetta 1 and 2.
Re: Bayonetta Confirmed as New Challenger in Super Smash Bros.
Don't know if it's true, but according to Vgchartz Bayonetta 2 is almost at 1 million in sales. That's almost the same as the first one on Xbox 360.
Maybe a Bayonetta 3 one day?!
Re: Bayonetta Confirmed as New Challenger in Super Smash Bros.
Even though Corrin is another Fire Emblem character, they did their best to make it very interesting with all the dragon actions! Looking forward to it!
Re: Bayonetta Confirmed as New Challenger in Super Smash Bros.
Can't wait for the Bayonetta amiibo!
