Golden Sun is truly an absolute classic. Fun RPG with clever Zelda-like dungeons, but nothing too complicated. They dont do games like that anymore.

Without competitive this game would absolutely suck for everyone over 12 or at least it doesnt have any replay value. It's just way too easy for people who have grown with the franchise over years and the exploring part is a joke.

People who are interested in Gold Bottle Caps probably already have a ton of them. People who are not interested, don't need them. I dont know, what's the point of those distributions. Do some shiny distributions or something. Anything that's actually worth starting SwSh.

Seriously though, why a friggin wired lan port wasnt in the original release is beyond me. Nintendo is slowly becoming worse and worse.

Is the combat-system exactly like in the first one on the 3DS? Because I didnt find it "rather excellent", I found it a bit random at times. The Rock-Paper-Scissor-System didnt allow much mistakes for instance and some Boss-Fights did vary in their attacks, so you literally had to gamble.

The amount seems, even though justified because of a contract breach, a bit unreasonable.
I can't even remember the leaks, but I do remember the mediocre storyline, lack of effort (Gen7 sprites, nothing to explore really) and dumbed down gameplay. The punishment should be a hard lesson and not ruin their lives and threaten their existence.

I'd rather have a new competitive format after repeating Series 7 VGC, but thanks anyway...

@fafonio I mean Fire Emblem is more of an RPG mixed with tactics, but yeah. I also liked the pure tactic gameplay more in AA.

Well, I never played those, so that's really good news.

It's still not forbidden to develope new games/stories/gameplay features though, so I hope we will see newer stuff in the future here. I'm getting kinda tired of the remake culture in general tbh.

Played the first one for a bit, but the battle system was kinda boring. Basically it was Rock-Paper-Scissors where you had to guess what your opponent will use. There were certain patterns, but sometimes it was just hit or miss.
I really hope that they will come up with something better, because otherwise I personally wont give it a 2nd shot.

Pocket Bomberman for the GBC was the first game I got and I couldnt beat the first level. Unfortunately I lost it somehow when I was a kid. I bought it used a few years ago and finished the game, which was very pleasant.

Hopefully the battle system will be improved. The 3ds one didn't make any sense and was kinda annoying.

So, If I already own Platinum, I dont need to play this? Is this just a reskin?

Well its because GF didnt manage to deliver a decent game for years now! Every game has major flaws. SwSh is far too easy, boring, lazy and charges 30$ for a DLC that literally has next to no content. Lets Go are so easy and dumbed down, which is fine for kids and people with disabilities, but barely playable for experienced gamers. Sun and Moon was decentish, but USUM was literally the same game. And this was released 2016. We have every right to complain tbh.
I mean every game provides something for a certain fanbase, but core gamers that started early were neglected for years now.

As a competitive player Im asking myself: Is this game connected to SwSh in any way? This would be a missed chance, if its not tbh.

Im curious whether they included Dynamax in this. I actually prefer this top down view over the SwSh style. The graphics look debatable, but maybe the game will be fun for a change.

@Brummieendo90 Guess what, you seem to enjoy casual stuff. The problem is that the last few games were all really casual and the experienced players are getting tired of it. Cant you let us have something? Whats awful about asking for a challenging game? You act extremely selfish to be honest.

If they announce let's go Sinnoh, it would be probably time for me to lets look for another hobby. Feels kinda sad to get trashed by the things you love.

I played the first demo and I found it really hard. If you have to invest some time to get in, it might not be for me.

Yeah I hope that Gamefreak doesnt forget its roots and stops dumbing the gameplay down. Pokemon Blue was more challenging than Sword & Shield.

I'm sad. I played this game recently and it's one of the worst 3d-Zeldas and Zeldas in general. Yet, Nintendo barely changes a thing, slaps a 60$-Price-Tag on it and people buy it like crazy. Same with 3D-World. One shouldn't support this lazyness.

I want something with a story mode. That way I can learn the game and maybe get into competitve multiplayer.

@scully1888 And as someone who played FUT quite a lot, I say it doesn't. It's the same every year. The Squad Building Challenges were a new invention which went in the direction on live daily content. Still your goal is to get CR7 with 99 Stats all around. Although people have those cards already in their older versions.

@scully1888 Well, yes and no. The majority of people play Fifa solely for one reason and that is FUT. They don't care about Volta, Career Mode, etc. And if I have to be honest FUT really doesn't change that much from year to year. There were some sparks of creativity here and there, but it's mostly the same. People just want to be part of the live content that is going on during the year.

New Pokemon and moves are nice, but could be seen as a reskin or roster update where you have new players with different stats on different teams. Also what about the Let's Go-Titles which are the 2nd remake of the original red and blue? Or Ultra Sun and Moon, which were literally the same games?

Gamefreak is on a dangerous track to make the same mistakes as Fifa. If they continue to go that way, they should not be treated differently.

Absolutely shameful. We should not forget though, that Gamefreak is doing the same thing with Pokemon and they are charging 60$ for that.

Yeah, I will get this. I think by removing the bias you have against third party clones of existing Nintendo/Gamefreak titles, this shouldn't be too bad. And Sword & Shield was trash.

I bought the PS4 version half a year ago, since I heard a lot of bad things about the Switch-Version, but it wasn't great either. The game had massive input delay and was unplayable at times.
I love the fact, that they put randomizer stuff in it though.

Better this than the fraud from EA called Fifa. PS and XBox are simply better platforms for football simulators and the hotspot for the competitive and youtube scene. This is where you can make big money out of lootboxes.

The combat system is fun. Especially in boss fights. What's annoying is the amount of fights in certain areas.

I hate difficulty options. I have to take the hard mode always, because I feel like I'm missing out on the true experience, if I don't.
