@iLikeUrAttitude that’s what I was thinking. Yes the characters have always been a bit strange looking but this is a step down even for this series.

There’s too many farm games now. It’s a rough market to compete in because of the time required to be spent in each game it won’t garner your farm game that much player population. Plus most farm games are very samey and are easy to just forget and put down. Distinguishing your game is important, put something wacky in it that generally doesn’t get used in casual game enclosures. Farming is very casual don’t mix it with another casual element. Take a non casual element and simplify it. Stardew did great with their combat whereas I think rune factory struggles with it. It’s too much of a part of the game without having much to it so you spend too long on an overly basic system whereas farming has many intricacies such as fertilizer placement large crops sales machinery cooking and more and combat is just bludgeoning someone to death.

Source: most of my time played in games are farming sims. I won’t pretend I’m being modest here I know what is good and what isn’t. This is my main genre.

@Serpenterror I disagree, I believe he would share the philosophy of Steve where the sword is an option but not the main criteria of his combat.

Ah yes, the two that should’ve been playable in smash. I don’t like this game that much but at least they’re doing it right. I think people know who Simon and alucard are vs Simon and richter. They added the latter as full characters because it took less work to implement. Still salty about not being able to play as alucard. Every time I see his assist trophy I’m still disappointed.

@Effortlessgamer I’d say this writer has the right spirit but the quality of each article is never that stellar. Nintendo will either come up with a very Nintendo solution or no solution at all. Time for Nintendo customers to face this truth. We have these, we at least get something. It’s cherry picked but it’s alright.

Just throw tons more into it. I’m good for that. My backlog is over 100 games atm so I’m okay on waiting.

In modern pixel art style Kanto’s ugliness really shows. Everything is so geometric. Cycling road is such an eyesore. Town art does look nice though. Love the idea of the museum going on there.

As with all attempts at denuvo, it will be cracked. I remember when this first came out and they claimed it was impossible to crack and they got cracked within a week. No software is impenetrable

Forcing them to use it is not what I meant. If present within the software Nintendo still approves that game to be sold. You can’t just show up on the eshop without warning. While very overly pathetically bare, nintendos does have an approval process to list your game on that market. They shoulder the blame as well.

@Willo567 in what way are they not behind software they approve to appear for sale on their digital marketplace? Little weird to defend them on this. It’s their choice not to stop it.

Might need to find a new console soon. Nintendo cares more about pirates than paying customers and this just affirms it.

@MrPKOmega but they have confirmed there’s more updates in 2023 on their roadmap. So even more than that!

Wow so this is a lot less grim than it was made out to be. For the foreseeable future you can redownload your purchases. All the scare tactics made it seem like you wouldn’t. Definitely a good outcome in the end.

Ok so amazing to me is Nintendo feels they can pass judgement on Blizzard when they do the same thing? Would like to hear more from Nintendo on this before really adjusting my thoughts on this.

@PARK1755 it’s just nice to hear the new Nintendo news and what the reviews say about the content of the games they review but they’re not good critics. I don’t think anyone expects them to be.

I’ve had this on my steam wish list for a long time. I have my steam deck finally and now it gets announced for switch. Keeping the conflict going.

The only thing RE4 on switch is missing is ammo drops. Literally the only version of resident evil 4 where blowing away every enemy is not an option. It’s half the fun and undoable. Why.

That’s hilarious! This won’t hurt their income though people will still blindly support! I feel bad for the folks currently making single player games under their umbrella such as the highly requested dead space remake. They kinda just burn themselves.

Great to see these games represent these franchises. I’ve personally been over dynasty warriors games since ps2. Hopefully this means there will be a real fire emblem game next.

@Browny people pretend they don’t know stuff so they can try to be amazed. I find it hard to believe people didn’t know this due to how the section plays.

Why do any of this when you can do the tried and true Nintendo business scheme of nothing!

I’d love to hear straight from Nintendo a legitimate reason why they do this. Not from some internet armchair “genius” it makes zero sense. This type of behavior creates the piracy demand and following this behavior I hope Nintendo absolutely boils when they even think of someone downloading a rom.

I hope this one is better than the first. The first game was quite short but had some really bad design in some areas making it a slog sometimes.

@Joeynator3000 MMOs man. The cornerstone of the micro transaction. We have them to thank. It’s only expected that the fabled micro transaction evolved into crypto then NFT then metaverse.

@shgamer no it’s cool. It’s hard to find good conversation anywhere these days. But I see what you mean and yes I feel the same way. It’s all been done and then an outlier will fly out of left field but really all they’ve done is taken one thing and another and merge it together. It looks new but it’s not, but I still encourage that because it feels new and that’s a good feeling. We don’t exactly get to discover the world in the 21st century. That adventure was seized by those who precede us by a couple decades ago. Seems like now is the age of push it till you break it which isn’t good because it is more about destroying things rather than seeing how long the good can last. In short, I get you.

@shgamer well even though it probably won’t happen maybe people will wisen up and actually not buy things they don’t want. I’m really into big business failing so I hope this gets trash canned really quick. It’s a bad move and it will draw in too many suckers with lots of money to spend just to try “the new thing” even though the new thing is a digital version of the old thing in most cases.

@shgamer it’s just combining everything. All digital entertainment will be one big glob of a mess. People will pay for digital space to house their product in this one entity that requires a large amount of hope to achieve. It’s not that it’s too ambitious it’s just that it’s innately a bad idea. The only ones to benefit are the ones behind the meta verse itself. Companies taking part and consumers will just be confused about what they are supposed to be doing to interact with the thing in a meaningful way. The Walmart meta verse sums up the stupidity of it perfectly. Imagine instead of going to Walmart and walking up and down the aisles you put on a VR headset and walk up and down the aisles picking what you want and they’ll be shipped to you. It’s literally just a flashy waste of time way to interact with anything. And you bet your snazzy little self it will be expensive to do it all.

I’d love to do this with my 2 homies. Pokémon could be such a great multiplayer game but it’s been restricted to 2 of the least interesting forms of multiplayer you can have. I’ve never had the urge to battle my friends Pokémon and trading is just an inconvenience created by the games themselves having exclusive Pokémon. I love that I didn’t need any connectivity to fully enjoy legends arceus.

Sounds like the type of feature that other people get far more excited than me. I like fun gameplay and really despise in depth customization systems. If the customization system ties into gameplay somehow I will use it but only to get me by. I’d put a bed down and a radio maybe a plant and never touch it again. Not a fitting system for a shooter game.

I’m currently limping through Ōkami. So far this is not a good game but there’s some things I like about it that are keeping me on the path to the end. Really tired of fighting the “wiser than thou” camera they have constant cutscenes and interruptions and awful pacing. The combat is kind of fun when you don’t have to pause time to use a stupid brush thing. Some things are quirky and fun and unique it’s just enough to keep me there.

Cool. Patch the game so I can finish the Dragonborn dlc how about that instead of throwing a worthless second port onto the switch.

Everyone is wrong in here. The entirety of this arsenal is the best weapon. I love this skill swap thing. This game is really stepping this up.

I hope this dude embarks on a one way trip to the sun. Stop ruining good things with knock offs and crypto crap. We all made our money off the fad it’s done. Go dry up now.

9.99 could buy you a game rather than a single item. Just saying. Especially if you plan to subscribe for a while you could just buy legends arceus since it’s on sale right now and come out on top in the end. If you like Pokémon play the real games. Not some tencent paywall crap.

Holy moly. I’m glad I’ve waited before even starting this game. I’ my first experience with it will be playing the best most complete possible version
