I think people confuses Emily Rogers with Laura Kate Dale. Emily never said that Smash Bros was a launch title or that Zelda was delayed, it was Laura. The only thing Emily really got wrong was MK8DX having new courses.

Realistically it is a port of Bayonetta 1 to PC.

Hopefully it is a remaster of Bayonetta 1+2 for Switch with a tease for a third game...a man can dream right?

I think that there will be a Switch retail version. They just can't show it yet. I'm expectin an announcmente after the big event next week.

I'm quite sure that their main goal with mobile games isn't making a huge profit, but to bring their IPs under the spotlight and attract new people to their console. IIRC Kimishima himself compared the smartphone games to the '80/'90 TV commercials. Just look at how Pokemon Go helped Sun and Moon sales.

@NintyFan Yeah, and that was especually true when Yamauchi was the head. I read somewhere that he purposely put Nintendo's several teams in competition so they could come up with better games and ideas faster.

@MegaMari0 Wohohoho, slow down buddy. Level-5 is mostly a smartphone/(3)DS developer, so they aren't really into developing on HD consoles that lacks touch controls.

They probably want to see which of their franchises can work on the system, since most of their games takes advantage of the dual screen of the DS/3DS, which is something that the Switch lacks

That isn't bad, especially considering that physical games will keep everything (including the save files) inside the cartdrige, just like the 3DS.

Interesting. While it is very likely that all those games will eventually be relased, they weren't running on the Switch. So, all those claims that BotW had a framerate drop when the console was on portable mode weren't correct.

@fchinaski Really? I didn't noticed that. I noticed a stop motion segment (when Link shoots that beast), but that is a feature of the game.

The biggest problem with My Nintendo is that all those (great) games are already owned by most of the fanbase. I really think that with the launch of NX, having some discounts on launch games for the new console, would be way more tempting and useful. Like, you buy Zelda BotW digitally and get a 20% on another launch title. Now that is a good deal. Also bring back physical prizes: they have already stated that they will come back, so give us them!

@Baker1000 So Mario 64 isn't a Mario game because it isn' about completing linear levels in 8 worlds but is more exploration and adventure based? Or Luigi's Mansion shouldn't have the green plumber because "Mario isn't about ghostbusting!!!!!"
People should really stop s*itting on Federation Force. It wasn't what we Metroid fans wanted, but it is still a great game that is part of the Metroid franchise as a spin off, which never hurted any franchise in history (actually they helped the main series when they succed, but the Metroid "fans" made it blow really hard for no real good reason).

@J-Manix98 Yeah, Team Rocket is great, but I prefer Team Galactic over Plasma, to be honest.

Man I loved the second one. The first one was more a celebration of the series, but the story of the second was amazing. I'm also interested to see why they decided to make Giovanni saying that Team Rocket will never die. We might see them in future games?

@Ed_Fairway I know, but he doesn't die in that scene (for no reason). The anime is called Nichijou, and it is a non-sense/comedy/slice of life. It is one of my favorite, you have to watch it for understand how funny it is!

This looks amazing! A little disapponted that those will be shorts rather than an actual anime serie, but count me in!

Why is everyone assumibg that since it has been delayed the game will be another Mighty No. 9? Shantae Half-Genie Hero was supposed to come out in October 2014 (almost 2 years of delay), but the game looks to be awesoke anyway.
Eck, even Zelda BotW has been delayed simce its 2015 target, but the game will still be a masterpiece.

I love the fact that there is a Revolver Ocelt cosplayer in that pic. He should be the one handing the NX to the winner saying "You' re preatty good". That would be epic.

I voted Earthbound (though I played it only on the VC), Mario All-Star and Mario World. But my all time favourite SNES game will remain Parodius...man I miss that Konami...

@DragonEleven Actually it holds up perfectly. They didn't wanted to have too many video game characters (note that there was also Pac-Man in it). Now why Mario over Pikachu (because if they went woth Pokémon they would have used the yellow mouse)? He actually has a lot going for him:
-Because of its importance (Super Mario is THE biggest franchise in video game history, beating Pokèmon, and is the mascotte of one of the most well-known Japanese company in the world);
-Of course the saucy Mario/Rio pun;
-Mario is also more associated with the Olympics, thanks to the Mario and Sonic series (which are OFFICIAL licensed games, btw), so he was the natural choice for it.
Also Mario of italian has only the name, and there are almost no games that specifically call him "italian". So yeah, he kind of became an international being (or maybe they used him as a way to unite the world? An italian (Europe) who lived on America who was created by Japan. It's actually really clever, though it is unlikely that they thought about it :/ ) bit even so they changed to hat from the classical "M" to a Tokyo label, emphasising on his japanese origin.

(And also they already used Pikachu in their national soccer team for the 2014 World Cup. Maybe they wanted to change rappresentative (: )

@DragonEleven Still Pokémon are heavily associated with Nintendo, and this wasn't a Nintendo commercial, but an official video from the Japanese government.
Captain Tsubasa is an exceprion because he is the face of sports manga/anime, which is, guess what, what the Olympics are about: sports, not video game characters/Nintendo.
We should really just enjoy that Nintendo got that kind of exposition just some weeks before they reveal the NX.

@GeminiSaint In the west, but in Japan Doraemon is way more popular as the "animation mascotte". Japanese players even suggested Sakurai to add the blue space cat to Smash Bros when he was developing Melee!

I also doubt that the Prime Minister would have enjoyed to be in a Pikachu costume...
