I played 1000 matches and have now deleted it, I won't re-download it unless they add multiplayer offline couch co-op, I don't really care about playing anonymous people online anymore, I would like to play against real people in the same room
I loved the whole fatalities and violent concept of this franchise when I was 12 - gore for the sake of it, but then I grew up and now don't see the attraction, I wont be going near this game but I can see why younger players like it
My UK visa Debit did not work when trying to buy Japanese games as the Post Codes didn't match, Instead I went through a complicated process of linking a Japanese PayPal address to Nintendo which after a while it accepted it but took many tries as the post codes still didn't match,
Anyway now I can buy from the eshop from Japan with PayPal but I cannot from the UK shop so for that I have to use my Debit card which works out fine for me
I always wanted to try one of these but was never prepared to actually buy one.
I disagree with your reasoning for it being dumb saying it makes the Game Boy no longer portable as in that case you are also calling the Super Game Boy (SNES) and the Game Boy Player (GC) both dumb also
@BetaWolf True, My favourite combination is a Seimitsu stick and concave Industrias Lorenzo buttons for older games (I have modded an 8Bitdo arcade stick with these parts)
Well it's called Legend of Zelda, so the first time most people ever hear of it they assume the main character is Zelda - ie. a girl, (just like some people thought Samus' name was Metroid!)
Danny DeVito makes much more sense as his voice is the complete opposite of Pikachu's regular voice so that makes for a more comedic effect but I guess Ryan Reynolds is more of a screen puller, shame
I miss the Iwata asks interviews, here are some good ones from the Ocarina of time development staff and they talk about working with Miyamoto back then, it's a good read
Didn't Hollywood learn that making cartoon characters real is a bad idea after the Super Mario movie, ok so the detective Pikachu film will probably do well but doesn't stop it being a travesty
Today we are going to rate the fruit bowl.
At no 10, Purple Grapes
9, Pear
8, Plum
7, Orange
6, Pineapple
5, Satsuma
4, Apple
3, Apricot
2, Green Grapes
And at no1, Peach
This looks really well done, however it does look like some elements have been straight ripped from Link to the Past/Minish Cap/Golden Sun/Secret Mana, I know its "inspired" by but its seems more of a homage, I think I actually saw the Mana Fortress in there
Personally I felt as they were going open worldish with this game, I thought the levels were too small, the city felt tiny to me, I loved running around it but it came to an end too soon, I think I just prefer the more linear type of levels as in Mario Galaxy and 3D World
I would like an Odyssey 2 with larger Worlds and all the stupidly simple moons replaced with something like a special coin in order to make it feel more worthwhile when you actually find a difficult moon so you feel rewarded for your effort - (Imagine if the blue coins in Mario Sunshine were actually shine stars, not that they were easy to collect but there was a differentiation between the two)
@LightBeam yes, I believe people should be punished and it is tough luck, an example needs to be set that leaks are not good for the industry. If I was Nintendo, Bandai/Namco I wouldn't work with them again, besides it is one job I don't see why they would shut down, they have plenty of other clients I am sure
@Lone_Beagle It didn't look like crap but I remember seeing it at the time and thinking of it being more of a tech demo, but it gave an insight into what could be possible in future for 3d graphics in games, however what's most important is how well it played and I do think this is a good game on that level
@Moroboshi876 But at least in Vs. Super Mario Bros you can play as 2 players albeit at seperate times, Excitebike is single player only and also Vs. Super Mario Bros actually has a title screen with the "Vs." included whereas Vs. Excitebike simply just states Excitebike at the title screen - there is nothing versus about it really
It's quite simple, the game will be the arcade version originally known as vs. Excitebike, the reason it will be launched just as Excitebike without the vs. Is because it was never a versus game to begin with! It is single player only, It was released for the vs. system arcade as a kit, it is not going to be the Famicom Disk System version which truly is a versus game, as in 2 player simultaneously
Here's some other '"mind blowing facts" from yesteryear that you all should know or your Nintendo fun club card will be revoked:
Name your character "Zelda" in Legend of Zelda Nes to start the game on the second quest. In Super Mario bros hit the flagpole with either a 1,3 or 6 as the last timer digit for the corresponding amount of fireworks to go off. In Contra, pause the game and press, up, up, down, down... well I shouldn't have to finish this one!
Yeah, I learnt this in Dixons in 1988 when we used to play the NES kiosks, I thought this was common knowledge, and why is everything mind blowing these days!

Re: Nintendo Spreads The Message About Blue Toad's Return To New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
Played this on the Wii U over Christmas with 4 players, quite happy with that version, see no reason to get the Switch version
Wii remotes feel nice to hold sideways and we had two Toads Simultaneously!
Also, got boost mode and the touch screen challenges which are pretty fun,
Nintendo, you need to offer more, or charge less to make this game a worthwhile purchase

@wazlon you would need to buy the arcade pcb and then work out a way to play it, either with a "supergun" or an actual arcade cabinet
If you are serious about aquiring the pcb go to the website UKVAC and put a wanted thread up
