Iwata's view? Man his view was "fun games over system power". I hope whoever takes over Nintendo steering wheel will have "system power and fun are equally important" for a view

Whatever it'll be better be good. No more room for flops like wii/wiiu no matter how many they sold. I need a system that'll be preferred to xo and ps4.

They better delay this till it's finished fixed and polished. Wii u owners will be much angrier if it comes out looking bad than if it comes later next year.

Yet another reason why nintendo should improve tech specs of their next hardware. Its ridiculous to see graphics like that during eight generation. Gamers need both good gameplay and good visuals

Glad there's another N fan older than me. Seems to me that it's how young you feel inside what makes you a gamer not your age at all. I noticed lately that I find Nintendo "childish" games more appealing to me than those of Call Of Duty crap

seems like you could be getting something like that with NX. Though my personal guess is that NX will come in two different forms (likely sold separately) something like unified platform that uses same format of the game card and saves game data directly on it so you could play that very game outdoors and continue on the TV indoors

There's no more room for mistakes for sure. Power is indeed something that many want to see in NX. Without it, NX will go down the toilet just like Wii U, but this time people (myself included) will not tolerate the failure yet again and abandon Nintendo for good.

YOU'RE F***ING AWESOME !!! Inspiration to me for sure. Regarding NN3DS I would not recommend it now since it's days are ending. I just upgraded to it and soon NX news reached me. Now I feel like I should have waited a bit longer and spent that money towards NX. Out of curiosity, what games do you play? What's your favorite genre ?

Specs are important to 3rd parties. If having 3rd party games on a system you own is not important, then I can agree with your statement. I simply would prefer to play 3rd party stuff on Nintendo's console but that never happens since I'm good graphics addict. At the moment I play those on XO/PS4 and use my Wii U for exclusives only.

This will most likely be unified platform that runs single game on two of it's forms. Home console version of nx will be equal in terms of power to it's handheld form. Meaning it will hardly perform any better than what wiiu does. Handheld version of nx however should be impressive to cope with home system.

IMO Nintendo unofficially confirmed this rumour. They usually react fast to rumours that are incorrect but this particular one they are being quite about. Anyways I believe that NX will come in two shapes hangheld and a small home console. Both will play the very same games that will come in most likely a card form (just like 3ds) only bigger in virtual space terms. That way developers can work on a single title that would play on two different devices. If that happens NX home system will not compete with nx hadheld since they both will be one platform unlike what it was so far. Also there should be twise as many games coming out at least due to no longer needing to separate development teams. NX library should be record big if system becomes successful

Well there's no surprise there is it. Nintendo never gets the idea what it takes to attract 3rd parties over. Such a hard work to release a system that would match others.

If cross platform games hit NX half a year later than XO/PS4 and cost twice as much (just like Wii U ones did), then it'll do no good at all. 3rd party games have to come out just in time for all platforms or there will be another doom and gloom waiting NX to happen

Wii hardly had strong 3rd party support. There were cross platform games like LEGO related stuff, few C.O.D games but nothing much else and look how many units it sold

This could be true though apart from release month (July). Lets take a look at the facts shall we. Zelda got delayed from 2015 into 2016. Now would Nintendo delay it again till 2017 and make fans go totally mental again? Doubtfully. 2016 seems already a dead end for Wii U and gamers can't wait much longer than that anymore. Nintendo would want the game to hit shelves simultaneously on Wii U and NX otherwise NX version would not help with NX sales if released much later (there would not be enough interest in a game left anymore). They also can't abandon Wii U version since they made a promise it'll come to the system. Now the only reasonable launch date is holiday 2016 on both systems.

they have already said it wouldn't be a replacement for wiiu. Its a totally new product. Wiiu will still get it's support as a separate system till time is up.. NX can launch whenever Nintendo finds it necessary.

Too good to be true. Console manufacturing may start as early as this year, but there's no way it would launch so soon. 3rd parties only recently been introduced to what NX is let alone the fact that they haven't event received development kits.

Nintendo doesn't want to waste their time and money on working on large sized "full" games on either Wii U or 3DS. Their focus is NX. That's why we only saw certain spinoffs coming soon. They are keeping big names for the future system that they have hopes for.
