@jikflet For the vast majority the subscription model is the superior model. And for once Nintendo aren't 10 years behind. The NSO stuff has the potential to resolve the ridiculous precedent of re-buying your games on separate consoles VC's.
To me, this article may as well say "Nintendo why won't you let me pay £7.99 for Ocarina of Time on the 3rd seperate Virtual Console?".
@mikegamer if Nintendo didn't have a subscription model you'd probably be complaining they aren't keeping up with the times. All those purchases on the Wii, WiiU and 3DS, how they working out for you?
@Xyphon22 Yeah I'd agree with the "insufferable" comment. I think in particular the main character is written to be an awful caricature of a person, if you're relating to her then you're not the kind of person I want to be around anyway let alone relate to
I was recommended this early but found every character insufferable, the intriguing first hour or so before it falls off was cool though. My friend, a huge fan of the game who recommended it, said maybe I didn't "get" it because I didn't grow up with social anxiety.
At this point I expect the game to be a bit of a mess given the restart in development, MP3s lackluster design, and the constant hiring of positions. At least we got Dread, lads.
@ModdedInkling seems like they just wanted maximum resolution at any cost. I don't think it was an artistic decision so much as maybe a mandate from on high? Seems very strange as even a max resolution of 900p would have given a fair bit of headroom to draw distant objects in further afield.
@Kimyonaakuma I'm not sure how a Switch version would work, with the HD details. It would nean redrawing a lot of the sprites, something Atlus has for some reason been hesitant to do. I was surprised at some of the artwork in SMTIV, even on a 240p screen they looked so low resolution sometimes, and very inconsistent. Can't really hide that are 1080p though
@StuTwo I always thought the Magypsies were tongue in cheek references to cross dressing. They're funny in the same way a Pantomime Dame is funny, imo. Don't see anything malicious personally
I tried the demo and the input lag coupled with random stuttering was too much for me. Couldn't imagine paying for this. They should all theoretically run fine on Switch natively anyway.
I dunno if terrifying is the right word but seeing the same old Pokemon artstyle for the monsters/trainers and throwing them in to a semi realistic world is kinda offputting.
Would rather buy a game for 20-30 quid in a shop than 60 on the eshop. MS/Sony drop their prices off a cliff after a while, I think the majority of Switch's first part catalogue is still full price
@ThomasBW84 @Banjo-
I'm pretty sure Nintendo had some involvement in development for 4 and 5 (vaguely recall an EAD team being listed as co-producer or something in the credits?)

@eleven Physical? Enjoy. If you """own""" them on VC they can, and are, being taken away.

@Magician Put on hold because the game's designer likes to abuse people around him
Allegedly.
We'll never find out the truth now anyway.

This is a bit malicious. What's to be gained here? Pointing and laughing at the guys circumstances?
Re: Atlus Announces Soul Hackers 2, But It's Not Coming To Switch
Aww that's a shame. It looks like another UE4 game, maybe they have higher graphical fidelity in mind for it. Good thing I just picked up a Series S

Picking up Pokemon at the end of the month, hoping it's as good as people say

I'll bet money that it's an anime adaptation.
Fantastic game btw

Re: Review: Kingdom Hearts - HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix - Cloud Version - The Worst Way To Play These Games
@nessisonett You needed about 4 consoles to play the whole series
As opposed to the Zelda series, which is all playable on one console right?
Re: Review: Kingdom Hearts - HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix - Cloud Version - The Worst Way To Play These Games
It's frustrating because the first 2 could easily run if ported, and 3 uses UE4 so it's literally a turn key operation.
Re: Double Fine's Grim Fandango Remaster Is Getting A Physical Release On Switch
I've tried to get in to this take on 4 separate occasions and had to drop it due to the obtuse puzzles. Refusing to use a guide
Re: Poll: Will Mario Kart 8's Deluxe Booster Course Pass Make You Buy The NSO Expansion Pack?
I haven't had the NSO thingy for a year and a half, no intention whatsoever in paying for it again.

Yeah it does look pretty naff. As much pop in as GTA SA on PS2, which is mental
Re: Where To Pre-Order Triangle Strategy On Switch
I get the feeling there's not gonna be much need to pre-order. I move in some pretty Nintendo heavy circles and haven't seen any hype for it
Re: UK Charts: Pokemon Legends: Arceus Still On Top Despite Release Of Dying Light 2
Would have sold 3 times as much if it had raytraced lighting and run at 4k/60fps.

@AlexOlney it kinda does tho

I can see them putting a bid in for an obscure Bamco or Sega team, and even then only buying just the controlling shares
