Re: Picross e4 Confirmed For North American 3DS eShop Release In May

Marioman64

to the people saying enough of these already, this is the only one that really matters, since it'll have the 15x20 puzzles i really enjoyed from the original picrossds. hopefully they use the same puzzle navigation and zoom, but use the you-must-hold-up-to-paint control from picross3d (optional in picrossds)

Re: Miiverse Update Imposes Restrictions on Posting Comments

Marioman64

chatting became impossible since they stopped sending you notifications for a "thread" you posted in (it stopped the super notification flood if you accidentally commented on a news post or something similar, but it ruined two people communicating in a third person's post). this is just stopping people from going over the 200 character limit by posting multiple 200 character packed sagas

Re: Feature: How A Team Of Dedicated Fans Is Fixing Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Marioman64

@siconlol you're making it sound like they're trying to replace brawl. there's nothing wrong with people making mods so people can play with new and different features. everyone literally mods every single game, i've made my own super mario world levels. that doesn't mean I hate super mario world's original levels, it means I want to explore the game more, see what I can make, and just have fun creating things, I'm definitely in no way trying to replace super mario world
@siavm cheaters ruin online play when they play online with people who do not have those same cheats available to them. modding a game and playing it offline with friends is fine

also one more point, the argument that people shouldn't mess with content the developers made means you are against any concept of a level editor, which insults me a bit. People get mad when a "sequel" is just more levels, so how else are people supposed to get more gameplay out of the games they love without making more levels?

Re: Feature: How A Team Of Dedicated Fans Is Fixing Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Marioman64

@siavm i also find your post sickening. these guys worked hard to bring the precision and gameplay from melee into brawl. as much as i love brawl, it's just not as tight, fast, or balanced as melee. and saying they should just play melee is like saying "hey i know nintendo let you down by messing up a lot of core mechanics and ruining serious tournament play, but i'm having fun with the game so screw you and go cry about it" there's nothing wrong with customizing something to make it more enjoyable for yourself. if you disagree with that then i doubt you are human

Re: Review: Yoshi's New Island (3DS)

Marioman64

i just got to play today. the game is fantastic. bright colorful artstyle and smooth gameplay. it takes a bit to get used to the new acceleration on yoshis movement as well as the delay before throwing an egg, but the game is still really fun. is it as good as yoshi's island? no. but it's a good platformer on its on

Re: Review: Dr. Mario (Wii U eShop)

Marioman64

if comparing this to dr. luigi caused it's rating to go down, you're reviewing incorrectly. You don't rate games based on "well this is obviously less full of features and graphics than something that came out 24 years later," you rate them on their own merit, gameplay, replayability, and difficulty. the only reason this should get a lower score is because the lesser high score system stunts replayability

Re: Month of Yoshi: The Brightly Coloured History of Yoshi

Marioman64

yoshi's story is one of my favorite n64 games. multiple paths through story mode, WAY challenging to find 3 hearts in each level to unlock the 4th level of each word, AND the even harder challenge of getting all 30 melons in a level. whoever thinks it is not challenging has not played all of it, or just played the 1st level of each world.

Re: BLOK DROP U

@bezerker99 just got the game myself, that's the only thing you hear. there's no sound effects and that music track is obnoxious. at least the game is good
