Marioman64

so it's little big planet for the non sony people out there, cool
I have to wonder though, for this and skylanders, are all the missions and characters in the actual game disc, or do they put the whole worlds and stuff on the characters? because if someone hacked it to allow you to play as EVERYBODY without having the actual character, they would lose TONS of money

Re: Out Now: Rayman Legends (North America)

Marioman64

@nathanjones007 gamestop stocks a number of copies that were pre-ordered, and then carries 1 or 2 copies for anyone to just come and buy. I used to feel special about that too until I found this out... Still, to come in before people rush to claim those 1 or 2 copies is still a feat to be applauded

Re: Review: Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U eShop)

Marioman64

@Captain_Gonru of course. haven't tried it myself but it looks like you scan them in and they stay there until you back out to the menu again, I'd ask on miiverse though
@Kaze_Memaryu I was just saying that it's usually pretty clear on screen whether your attack is super effective or not. got my hands on the game today and it's even more blatant in this one than the other two games, it gives you a big "Super Effective" text and everything

Re: Review: Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U eShop)

Marioman64

@Kaze_Memaryu the types of pokemon you are attacking glow green or red depending on if you were using an effective move or not, and usually levels are designed to have mostly one type, or a type that is super effective against most of the pokemon in it. So you take electric pokemon to the ocean, water pokemon to the volcano, etc.

@slayer um, derp? no. the Wii U is A LOT more powerful, and the fact that you can play off tv on a controller, basically holding a heavy console's power in your hands, is amazing. btw the 3ds Pokemon Rumble seems to be the best, it's got a full story to it, better level design (or maybe actual level design compared to the Wii version), and it doesn't skip Gens II and III like the Wii one does

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th August (North America)

Marioman64

Pokémon Rumble U! YES! been waiting for this since it was announced for Japan!
also, "excessive button-mashing chaos undermine this a little" undermine? that's one of the reasons I'm getting it! I love button mashing hack and slash beat-em-ups, and a real-time Pokemon battling game is always a must have

Re: Jam With the Band 3DS Title in Development By Intelligent Systems

Marioman64

omg yes a third game! I played the first, and imported the second game (playing a bunch of songs from anime is awesome, though the fact that I can't delete downloaded songs means I need to get another copy soon to expand my playlist, which I'm perfectly fine with doing). hopefully it will come here, but it looks like to experience the songs I love i'll need to invest in a japanese 3ds

Re: Pokémon Rumble U

Marioman64

@Memeboy3 if they took the awesome minigames and the ability to play as EVERY pokemon like they did in the first pokepark, and added the storyline and exploration and multiple overworld characters of the second game, THEN I would want a 3

otherwise, i'm fine with this, and VERY excited for it. 5 days left america, WOOO!

Re: Review: Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U eShop)

Marioman64

day one buy for me for sure, and on my birthday too! i mean, who doesn't love real-time pokemon battling? and the 3ds one was pure GOLD with it's story mode and actual level design (which the wii version lacked), and ALL pokemon between and including gen 1-5! and only $15? i would pay $60 for this, seriously

Re: Review: Disney's Planes (Wii U)

Marioman64

huh, this actually sounds pretty good. i may need to pick this up. i love flight games because of the third dimension of movement and this looks decent enough to be enjoyable, especially with the multiplayer drop-in and out, my little brother will love this as well
