Re: New 3DS Firmware Update 6.0.0-11U Now Live

oh hey I figured out what the backup save thing is ACTUALLY for. Before, if you wanted to delete 3dsWare to make room for more stuff, your save data would be deleted too. now, you can do that and it'll AUTOMATICALLY create a backup file that sits in your 3ds until you download it again (says so in the manual, hover over the options software and click manual on the bottom) . how handy

with as much as you bashed it i'm surprised you gave it that high of a score, although I agree with the score. though, I disagree with almost every thing you wrote. enemies and platforms are extremely easy to tell which layer they are on, as the game blurs things out of focus and so it's really easy to see what is where. also, I'm playing through the game now and without some of those checkpoints I would not have been able to keep my sanity, I have the 3ds version too and I wasn't sure why I stopped playing that one but now I remember. With checkpoints in the levels aren't as brutal, but still put up a good challenge. I can barely get TO the checkpoint in the last level of the normal levels, as it's so freaking long and tedious. As for the ghost levels, they are probably my favorite part because the gameplay is so radically different since it's not just move kill jump kill repeat, it's a tougher variant on what works and it's really fun to play through.

Re: Video: A History Of Nintendo Controllers in Less Than 30 Seconds

Marioman64

I love the N64 controller, used it two of the three ways (I don't think I ever found a game that used left hand to d-pad, right hand on control stick), and goldeneye's method of faking dual analogue by make players hold two controllers per player was genius and funny
only thing I didn't like about it, was that the control stick's plastic would wear down and become herp derpy after a while. I want to replace my N64 control sticks with the ones in the psuedo N64 controllers they have in hotels http://images.wikia.com/logopedia/images/1/1f/Lodgenet_N64_controller.jpg

Re: Hardware Classics: Nintendo Virtual Boy

Marioman64

i have an emulator for it, and I can make it display the two screens side by side, and then use my stereogram viewing technique on it to mush them together and play it in it's original 3d
and if I want, it's original red color, or there's a black and white option

Re: Wii U Lens Cleaning Kit Appears on Nintendo Store

Marioman64

I made my own Wii lens cleaner when my copy of Brawl stopped working (being a double layered disc the lens was struggling to read it cuz it was dirty)
I wedged a random cdr into a rectangle of cardboard and taped them together, rigged a piece of bandaid onto the other side so it would rub the lens when it went in, and put cleaning solution on the bandaid. worked like a charm

edit: worst video quality ever, but here's a video of it with a description of how to do it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTUQ83dh2AQ , and DONT try it on your wii U, it's for wii

Re: New Wii U System Update Goes Live

Lego City was crashing sometimes for me before the update,
and now it's not... although it hasn't been long enough to see if that was actually what fixed it or if I've just been lucky so far.
