@datamonkey Nintendo was not stupid: the truth is that they did not underestimate the impact of CD ROMs, or else they wouldn’t have tried to make a CD add-on for the SNES with Sony. But they knew CD- ROM games were easily pirate-able so they went with cartridges, which may have saved them a lot of piracy of their games but cost them significant third-party support on the N64.

You guys need to add Skyblazer, a hidden gem of a game that was published & developed by Sony Computer Entertainment of America before they were even making PlayStation games.

I recall early promo materials in Nintendo Power magazine had a pic of the title screen and it was clearly “Diddy Kong’s Quest” - Nintendo changed it to Diddy’s Kong Quest shortly before release.

@Apportal Gala I agree. Galaxy 2 is just a large scale expansion pack with no story, hub world, etc. Not sure why everyone says it’s so much better than Galaxy 1 - just because you can ride Yoshi for a few levels and a couple new power ups??
