Re: Final Fantasy Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi Is Interested In Working On Switch

LetsGoRetro

Gamers blow my mind. An incredibly talented developer talks about the system and their first thought is "Bring a game we can already play elsewhere here!". Just play the game over there! Why wouldn't you want him to create new experiences? I honestly wish ports we're never even invented. The industry would have so many more games. It's a shame. People want 15 versions of the same thing. Makes no sense.

@D_e_A_c_T Safe spaces are a liberal creation. I didn't claim anyone was out to get me. What you fail to realize is that something isn't inherently wrong just because it hurts your feelings. Not agreeing with =/= hate. I am allowed to believe an unnatural process is just that, unnatural. You can feel however you want about it.

If I decided I was a tree you would laugh at me. You would say I surely should be able to tell I am not a tree. So, maybe you decide it would hurt my feelings to tell me so you're just going to go on telling me I am a tree. The question becomes are you doing me a favor by not hurting my feelings? Or are you doing me a disservice by playing along to save my precious feelings.

This is logic over emotion, bud. Toughen up, ya know?

Re: Eiji Aonuma Lists His Top Three Favorite Zelda Games

Everyone at Nintendo's reasoning for things never makes any sense and just always sounds like word salad:

Miyamoto explained "The reasoning for this decision was based on the fact that we required the user to associate actions with reactions by being the user in relation to the experience"

Every time they explain why they made a decision it sounds like that to me lol. I'm honestly confused as to how they are so good at what they do when they can't even make sense of it themselves.

Re: Video: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Localised Voice Acting is Pretty Darn Varied

LetsGoRetro

Are you people serious about the Japanese voice acting? The English is 100 times better. The Japanese is ten times over the top lol. WAHAHAAAHAHAHA for the crying lol. Just awful. Stop acting like you aren't just preferring the Japanese because you think its cool and trendy to like the original language over your own. It is not better. Its too over the top and the emotions absolutely don't translate to our speaking style.

Re: Minecraft, Sonic, Street Fighter And Bomberman Are All Coming To Switch

LetsGoRetro

@A01 Dissapointing? I have bashed Nintendo the ENTIRE Wii U gen and even I am screaming "they are back!" I mean, obviously tastes vary but... Breath of the Wild looked incredible, Mario Odyssey somehow even better, Xenoblade 2 was as epic as can be, a new Shin Megami Yensei, FOUR Dragon Quest games ( x, xi, heroes1, and heroes2 ), Octopath Traveler taking Square back to it's roots, sports games with NBA and Fifa, a new Fire Emblem (albeit a Warriors title).. They even had a decent looking new IP in arms.. At some point you have to say, "what more do you need?"

Re: EA Executive Clarifies Scope of Nintendo Switch Support, but is Cautious of Its Prospects

LetsGoRetro

Nintendo needs to just give EA and the rest of the top ten third parties unwilling to port to their system a big lump sum of money. "Listen, we need our system to get atleast most od your biggest game franchises. Here is a million bucks to split amongst your top guys as a goodwill gesture and lets do some business.

Just the word amongst hardcore gamers that Nintendo is no longer being left out is WELL worth that 10 million. Consider it research and development and-or advertising costs and it will more than pay for itself

Re: Rumour: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Won't Be Ready by March

LetsGoRetro

@LegendOfPokemon So you thought something along these lines: "Every single time in the past 20 years a game gets delayed, someone makes a fool of themselves by posting this same old, tired, and by now with the internet and DLC nearly irrelevant, quote. I know they look foolish because they think they look smart by saying this, but I think it would be pretty fun to use it for the 7 millionth time on THIS particular delayed game!"

Re: Nintendo Confirms Wii U Production Is Coming To A Close

LetsGoRetro

Good riddance. A bunch of "pretty good" entries in normally great 1st party series. Zero 3rd party support. A 2D platformer console in 2012-2017. Clunky OS. Clunky Gamepad. Every game screaming "THIS IS FOR KIDS" even in series typically for everyone. Practically impossible for me to get any friends and family members to play it for more than 20 minutes.

This console offered so little for a Nintendo console that it's surprising. An utter disappointment all around. Thank God the Switch looks like it'll be awesome. If it was another Wii U. I would be very worried for the future of my favorite game company.
