The Nintendo Switch is going to be revealed more fully in January, with press and preview events also due around the same time. More questions will be answered, and we'll hopefully have a good taste of what the system will have to offer when it arrives in March.
Image & Form is one of the developers that's working with the Switch already, and it's shared a nice episode of its 'Engine Room' series to discuss 'cool' and 'lame' facts about the system. Naturally they observe their NDA, but they do talk positively about the graphical power and ease of development on the platform.
It'll be interesting to see what the company delivers on the Switch. With SteamWorld Heist proving a critical success this year, Image & Form certainly has positive momentum on its side.
Let us know what you think of the studio's Switch facts in the comments, and be sure to hit up their comments section on YouTube too.

I'm sure they'll make a great game for Switch. They've made great games thus far.
Powerful from PS4 or not, as long Nintendo still can maintain their image brand to provide games suitable from Everyone until adults that's more than enough for me.
Love these guys!
Well if these guys said the screen is HD I'll believe it's HD finally, I was mildly concerned it could still be something odd like 580p or 620p b/c Nintendo. 720p or 1080p on a screen that size doesn't matter, and I don't imagine Nintendo will go 4k this gen even on the tv.
Nintendo should make the toaster slot glow-in-the-dark so we can see where to put the tablet with the lights off.
@rjejr Nintendo confirmed it was HD when they announced Switch: http://www.nintendo.com/whatsnew/detail/first-look-at-nintendos-new-home-gaming-system
SteamWorld Chess confirmed?
Low tier ass questions! Will the Nintendo switch really have a Matt finish when released in March?"
PS.watched the vid because ibsaw a couple guys sniff a game case... glad to know im not the only one who does that lmao.
Last thing i sniffed was my new 3ds! Mmmm.
@Anti-Matter Are you saying that the most important thing about the Switch is that it provides games suitable for everyone?
@G-Boy
Yes, of course. Kids, girls, elder, everyone deserves for great games that can be enjoyed together.
@martynstuff They could easily make an excitable game of chess with Steamworld. Now I want it.
@imageform Big fan of you guys!
@A01 Probably because that set-up will be rarely used compared to the Switch Grip or Pro Controller. The whole idea of people playing for long, extended sessions using a single Joy-Con probably isn't really a consideration and nor, IMO, should it be given that you can still use either of the 'regular' control schemes in tablet mode. It's simply a solution to local multiplayer that doesn't require lugging around extra equipment.
they're so cute, in my mind they're a couple.
@joealejos
Ha! Gaayy!
@joealejos Yeap, they seemed to me as a lovely couple too
"If a toaster toasts toast in the woods and there was no one to see it, does that mean that the Nintendo Switch is more powerful than the PS4?"
Woah, careful there buddy!
@iGen Really...?
@imageform I trust you guys a whole lot more than I trust anything Nintendo says, otherwise I would have been playing Zelda BotW in 2015 and Super Mario Run wouldn't even exist. And we'd be playing dual Gamepad supported games on Wii U. If you can't trust trintran who can you trust?

The "say something without saying anything" game is always fun. I have a feeling the heads at Nintendo get along nicely with these two.
If I expect to be surprised by Nintendo will I still be surprised?
Shin'en is on board. YES!!!!
More powerful than a ps4? I'd be happy if it was a match for Wii U! That would be a major upgrade from the 3ds anyway, and this is blatantly a portable console that plugs in to the TV, not a home console you can take with you. If successful then they will retire the 3ds, and only have a single console to develop for. Which is a good thing! All the games for one system instead of splitting them between two!
@Anti-Matter how old are you?
"If a toaster toasts toast in the woods and there was no one to see it, does that mean that the Nintendo Switch is more powerful than the PS4?"
Can't wait for January 12th! Also keep up the great work guys, Heist is awesome.
@imageform
Already got my preorder in so I'm getting it day one.
Hope you guys have something for me to play on that day, nudge, nudge.
Cool video, I like their humour! I still haven't steamworld heist though!
@123akis Get it Now! It's 40% off on eshop until the 5th!
Awesome Video very funny!! The switch should be off too a good start with combining the Wii U & 3DS fanbase together.
@Pikachupwnage You sure? I just checked, I can't see any discount? (I'm in Europe).
@LetsGoRetro
Oh, i'm 32 years old young man.
I like cute, kiddie, colorful, quirky, funny stuffs like ACNL Welcome Amiibo, Animal Boxing NDS, Fantasy Life 3DS, etc.
A toaster, toasts bread. Ăź/
Man, it's hard not to think that toaster saying is a backhanded message that the power does compare to PS4. It would be cruel to make that segmebt if it was much less powerful and they are in a position to know. But, you know, just not-saying-anything enough to be safe and we'll just have to wait until January.
I have to say that Nintendo might just tout its specs for once if it is ahead of the original PS4 and portable. That's a nice message.
@CB85
Yes. Gay people can be gay, by all means. But they cannot impose that on non-gay people and expect nobody bats an eye.
It just isn't right.
PS: @joealejos That original comment wasn't made with any offense in mind. Just a poke which everybody used to do. A lot.
@123akis Oh I am in NA.
There was almost a Hotel Mario reference somewhere...
@Anti-Matter mm hmm. And on a scale of 1 to 10, what is your opinion of Chris Hansen?
@LetsGoRetro
Oh, i'm sorry. I never heard or knew about him so I can't give a score. Btw, I'm Indonesian people.
