Re: Top 100 Nintendo Games, As Chosen By Nintendo Life & IGN

LeMasters

Absolutely unquestionable, this top 2. When Breath of the Wild was released, it was without a doubt the best game of all time, and Tears of the Kingdom came and surpassed it in every possible aspect. It is the greatest injustice in history that the best game of all time lost the Game of the Year title to a forgettable game.

ā€œbut I would wager that none of Bethesda's subsequent games have captured the same magic that Fallout 3 so effortlessly demonstrated more than a decade and a half ago.ā€œ

Speak for yourself, Fallout 4 is the masterpiece of the franchise, in my opinion.

The European and Japanese versions definitely honor the franchise, but without a doubt I'll stick with the American version!

Crazy, authentic, with many elements that allude to the game's new mechanics, totally original.

Of course it doesn't match the game's original art, but it's such a well-constructed reinterpretation that in my opinion it's appropriate to cover the game!

Complementing my last comment, apparently the European art, like the American art, was also brought from the NES game (the Gameboy version being a different game, and not an adaptation of the game in which it recycled the art, i.e. ridiculous). This game, which by the way started out as an adaptation of the game Shadow of the Ninja (another franchise), definitely did not receive appropriate treatment (at least in the art department). Having said all that, I definitely stick with Japanese art.

I feel cheated!!! I voted for American art because I recognized it the moment I saw it, a true classic. But after reading the comments, and doing a quick search, I realized that they reused the art from the NES game, but they are different games (the Gameboy one being a prequel to the NES trilogy). Pathetic! Given that, I'll certainly stick with the Japanese art.

Complementing my previous answer, I believe that an innovative solution for Nintendo, which would related video games and smartphones, would be a powerful console device, which would be connected to your television via hdmi, and via your cell phone by the internet.

It would be possible to play the games on the television directly through the console (and its respective controller, and even use the cell phone as a controller if you want), it would be possible to play the games on the cell phones as well (touch screen, grips and/or the controller itself), wherever you are, and the game would be processed on the console in your home, in addition to being possible to do the opposite way too, playing mobile Nintendo games on your home television through the same connection.

This would be as if the switch's handheld mode was basically taking your phone with you to the places, something everyone already does.

For those who don't want to buy a console of their own (or can’t afford at the moment, or in case it’s sold out all around), but wanted to play its games, they could pay a subscription plan to play it by cloud service directly on their cell phone, without even having the videogame.

But unlike microsoft's service, this would not give you access to the library of games, you would need to continue buying them digitally, as we do in nintendo eshop, but if you buy the console, and logging with the same account you would already have access to the purchased games.

Just imagine how amazing…

You wouldn't need to buy the console to start playing your games, you would pay a subscription plan to have a console in the clouds and check out everything from the launch of the device... and after you bought the console, you could play in the comfort of your big television screen, without depending on the internet, buying your physical editions to collect, and when you wanted to leave, go outside, uou would have access to it on your cell phone without having to pay a extra, since the game processing would be done at your home.

I don't know if I’m dreaming to high, this is just an idea that I imagine would continue the path traced by the nintendo switch concept šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

@NintendoWife Since the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS generation, and more and more each year, I see apple ios and google android as nintendo's main competitors, rather than sony and microsoft.

Not because of Nintendo, this qas not their intention, but because of the developers of these platforms who realized that they could capture part of that plrtion of players, through a platform that everyone already has (started to have at that point) in their hands, their cell phones.

With the innovative step that was taken through the nintendo switch, bringing your home console closer to a mobile device, I believe that the natural trend is to follow this path that was traced, once that concept worked so well, we all know.

At the same time, we see Nintendo entering the world of cell phones more and more, with pokemon, mario and pikmin games, like a lab perhaps?

I don't know exactly how Nintendo would do what I'm suggesting they will do, if it would be through an online platform that would run on the main existing systems (ios and android), or if it would partner exclusively with one of these companies, or maybe its launches a complementary gadget to smartphone hardware that enable us to play their games using the cell phone screen and processors, or even launch its own cell phone and operating system and enter this ā€œwarā€ at once, who knows?

In any case, I think that complementing all this possibilities, would be a device capable of connecting this to the television through a dock, just like the switch, but whenever you wanted, you could put it in your pocket, exactly equal in shape, size and weight (if not a) cell phone.
