@Lord I know. It’s really sad how they’ve taken away all ours kids fun.
I remember a few years back I went to Burger King, bought my kids some kids meals then found no toys. I went to the counter and said, “my kids meals didn’t come with toys.”
The woman at the counter replied, “We don’t do toys anymore.”
I asked why and she replied, “to save the planet, duh.”
I’ve never gone to Burger King since. Lol
At least McDonald’s provides something. It’s a far cry from the glory days, but the video game themed stuff is still fun.
I had a drunk guy shouting abuse at me from the first kick of the game (we were partied after a good match) and he carried on f-ing and blinding for about 10 minutes after the match. I never had a mic to respond and I am online abuse hardened from years of FPS games, but if I was a kid it could have been quite scary/shocking.
Instead I just giggled to myself at his absurdities before I muted the TV, went to make a cup of tea, went to the toilet and put some washing in, came back to him still ranting about 10 minutes later. I nearly choked on my tea laughing so hard. A grown man wasting his time simply because we lost a game, and he had no idea who I was.
Anyways. Left party and blocked him and turned off voice chat. But it should be off by default.
@BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed for someone who’s name suggests you enjoy a good baked treat, I am surprised you take exception to a food analogy about something selling well.
The analogy refers to warm cakes, buns, bread etc being sold so quickly that they haven’t yet cooled because they are that popular.
@SwitchplayerJohn well that comment isn’t going to last long. Haha
Although it is kinda funny to think Nintendo’s Clockwork Orange-style trials were probably more robust (and in the long term, more humane) than some products that have been rushed out to the public.
@I-U @MH4 I’m pleasantly surprised we are getting an Arms related Amiibo.
I honestly thought Arms would be the last Arms related thing we would get from Nintendo (which I was sad about because I love that game). So I’m buying Min Min out of principle.
@Troll_Decimator I agree if the person is deliberately exploiting other people’s content then it isn’t a good thing.
However, this person was just doing a fan service to the Nintendo community. They likely spent hundreds (if not thousands) of hours providing for others something that wasn’t available by official means.
He should have been praised or rewarded but instead Nintendo has treated him like a criminal.
No offence to the guy, but if there was going to be mass action from the fanbase it would probably be best to focus on one of the bigger issues that affect the entire community where there is a snowballs change Nintendo might actually do something.
@WhiteTrashGuy yeah, that would have been a great. I remember having these conversations with friends when Nintendo was saying they wouldn’t even make a 3D Pokémon. Clearly that changed and I’m glad they are branching out.
I only played Blue and that was it. My younger brother has played everyone Pokémon and continues to this day. My kids play the new ones. But this one might be my first game since Blue.
It looks like the MMO Pokémon I had a dream about 15 years ago after a long weekend of playing World of Warcraft. I remember flying on the back of a Pidgeot, anyways…
I’m glad you’re excited for it. I’d expect Breath of the Wild mixed with Pokémon over anything Dark Souls like though.
@sleepinglion surely you just log in on your Epic Account and then your stuff transfers between all of them?
I have this game installed on PC, Xbox and PS4 and have the same profile on each, along with all my cars and customisation options. When I level up my Rocket Pass it carries over to others etc. It’s all connected.
As a kid I loved the different versions of the same Pokémon games.
As a grown up, you realise it is a cheap trick to get more money.
While it is, dare I say, shameful. I think a lot of modern day video game practices are, such as micro transactions, loot boxes, paid DLC and the like. It is all are just paywalled content to get us to pay more money.
That’s awesome and thanks to that Tweet (or should I say thanks to the awesome community who replied to it) I now have a very high res version of the entire image and every character individually.
Now, I just have to work out how to get my £30 canon to print this thing…
Yes, I do have a problem with Nintendo continuing to update this game while ignoring one of the best selling games on their latest console (MK8) which truly deserves DLC and events like this game gets!
His artwork had a massive impact for me personally and no doubt on the wider world.
Street Fighter II
Streets of Rage II
Shining Force
Kid Chameleon
Four massive games that shaped a generation and that I (like many others) played for hours on end and have fond memories of.
I remember studying these artworks on countless occasions. Either in stores as I repeatedly looked at the same games over and over until I could afford to buy them or when they were finally on my shelf.
I also remember trying to draw the Kid Chameleon cover a few times because I loved it so much.
I don’t think these artists know how much they helped shape gaming for our generation or the impact they had on us individually.
I think this was back in the early 2000s when Sonic invited Luigi to his house for a few beers and they got drunk and filmed themselves doing outrageous things. This must be part of that long lost footage.
I see these as more collectibles for adults than toys for kids.
My children want them but they are too expensive. And they will no doubt be even more in the future. It’s best to keep them boxed and wait for their prices to increase.
I didn’t know there was a big controversy about the design. I just know I liked the European/Japanese one and was surprised a couple years ago when I saw the US version and thought it didn’t look at nice as the one I owned.
It’s nothing to do with my age or trying to fit into the crowd and it was only meant as a joke comment.

@TexanBanjo fair enough. Thanks for sharing.

Re: PSA: Rocket League's New Cross-Platform Voice Chat Is Enabled By Default
This isn’t good. Especially for children.

Haha. I’m surprised PETA hasn’t kicked up a fuss about a horse bursting into flames in this game.

Re: Sega & Jakks Pacific Reveal New Sonic Movie 2 Merch, Arriving This Spring
The Sonic plush has the same eyes as Knuckles so they both look angry.
They should have made Sonic to look less aggressive and more determined or just changed it so he was happy.

Shame, shame, shame on Nintendo!
Re: Nintendo Blocks Another 2,200 Videos On YouTube Featuring Its Music
What is the point, Nintendo? Just let us enjoy the music like we enjoy all other video game music on there.
Wake up and realise you are hurting the fans enjoyment and your public image far more than this “piracy” is hurting your wallet.
Re: Random: Link's Breath Of The Wild Bow Technique "Really Sucks", According To A Professional Archer
Apparently, video games shouldn’t be taken seriously… just like TikTok.
Re: Random: Link's Breath Of The Wild Bow Technique "Really Sucks", According To A Professional Archer
@WhiteUmbrella “Get a grip”?!
This is the internet. We lost it long ago!
Besides, I like to mount my phone on my arm and use an inverted two finger draw when typing on my phone and no TikToker will tell me otherwise.
Re: Crysis 4 Is In Development But "Will Be A While Yet"
I don’t mean this disrespectfully, but we must be dreaming to think this will be released natively on Switch.
They said it will be a “truly next gen experience”. So we shouldn’t expect it on PS4 and Xbox One either.
Having said that, Crytek have been very good to gamers in the past and I wouldn’t put it past them trying.

Re: Video: Here's A Sneak Peek Of Dying Light 2's 4-Person Co-op Mode
@Kochambra I’d recommend Final Fantasy 7. It’s a really good ‘Cloud’ game.

Re: Rocket League Season 5 Lands This Week With A Space Theme And Grimes Music
@Octane_st1m I’ve played this game for years and haven’t really noticed anything different apart from it now having more players.
I only bought the season pass once many moons ago and play enough to have the season pass free every season with credits earned.
I just focus on playing though not collecting, so maybe that’s why I’m happy.

That’s actually quite wholesome and quite realistic to my own family bonding over gaming.
Well done Nintendo.

Re: A Legend Of Zelda x BlackMilk Clothing Line Drops Next Week
@Orangezap89 the ‘x’ is a Japanese thing when they combine two companies/franchises for an event/game/clothing line.
The X is pronounced cross for ‘crossover’.
