Re: Video: Are People Still Playing Wii U Games Online? Let's Find Out

Kezza64

I'm in Australia so I'm around the same timezone as Japan, give or take an hour.

Lobbies are sometimes full on Monday to Thursday but sometimes barren.

Weekends are packed in Splatoon, Mario Kart etc with Japanese, Australians and Americans.

13 million Wii U owners is still a lot of people, with Mario Kart and Splatoon selling 5 million + each. That's a lot of people with free access to online gaming.

@0blivion They aren't predatory here....we have something called consumer law.

And by online do you mean digital or online ordering. Digital games are only good for small games.

Online ordering, well my options are those same stores or order from a store in another state that will cost me shipping so I think I'll stick with brick and mortar retail.

Re: GameStop Switch Allocation Has Reportedly Improved

@0blivion I hope not. Gamestop, known as EB Games here is the only spot where I can get preowned games, few year old games or gaming accessories anymore.

The only other big store is an electronic retailer that sells game copies for 1-2 years max then chucks them.

Re: Switch Can Break The Traditional Hardware Cycle And Become Nintendo's iPhone, Says Analyst

@Valhalla91 Yes it is impressive. The Switch is portable yes but does not touch the DS's portability and ability to fit in your pocket so it has slightly less appeal for commutes.

Lets not forget the Switch is competing against the PS4 one of the best selling consoles of all time and soon the PS5 (don't see Xbox as a threat to its momentum), the 3DS competed against the failed PS VITA and the Wii had core gamers and casuals on board so it just dominated early, with the PS3 having a bad start.

Re: Video: Super Mario 3D All-Stars Looks Miles Better Than The Originals, And Here's The Proof

@Papichulo
I agree with the opening of Sunshine, the game is not as polished as other Mario games but I found the rest of the game very fun.

I can understand your view on Galaxy, I still enjoy it of course but Galaxy 2 feels like a fully realised version.

64 is definitely a masterpiece. People can pick on the shoddy camera all they want but I have played ALOT of recent AAA games and none match up the the flexibility and enjoyment that one gets out of controlling Mario in 64.

BTW i know that youtube video had good intentions of what a Mario 64 remake could look like, but compared to Nintendo's graphical design it looks awful in comparison haha.
