Nintendo operates in all parts of the world and one of these locations happens to be Australia.
In this same country, the global video game giant has been running an eBay page where fans can purchase Joy-Con battery packs, replacement parts for Labo Kits, amiibo and even 3DS cover plates.
As of 30th November though, the store will no longer be in operation. Here's the official announcement:
"Product sales on the Nintendo AU/NZ eBay Store will end after 30th November 2020."
There's no word if items like Labo replacement parts will be offered elsewhere just yet, but the Australian branch already sells exclusive products to Switch Online members via one of its webpages.
My Nintendo could also use an update in this region to bring it in line with other Nintendo stores like the UK one - so hopefully, something like this finally happens now that the eBay store is closing.
If we hear anything else, we'll be sure to let you know.

Nintendo has eBay stores?
@NESlover85 Just what I was thinking, lol
@NESlover85 Same here WHAT THE WHAT?
I keep forgetting that this is a thing. Same with some U.S. states' Unclaimed Property auctions.
I really wanna know why they didn’t have their own store…did someone piss off the Kyoto office?
I was about to question why Australia has an official eBay Nintendo store, but then I remembered that this is the same country/continent that lost to a war against Emus.
Nintendo have Ebay stores?
Aussie here... i never buy games off ebay. I guess along with alot of us... we have great deals on amazon, jb hi fi, eb games (when they have a good sale on) and even harvey norman has discounted games more than i thought they would. Always had trouble with shipping from ebay being unusualy long compared to the ones ive mentioned. To make things better.. i live the most south ya can get in tasmania. 😄
@HotGoomba___Rebrand also currently consulting americans on how to beat this corona virus. Oh and apparently our sand is the foundation of every building in dubai 😅 (probley many more places).. we also have the balls to call out the chinese goverment about the virus. (Only for them to act like spoilt kids in a boys club and stop all our exporting therefore putting a strangle on our economy)
@KnightsTemplar Same man. Amazon Aus and Ozgameshop for most part unless JB or EB have something I want for a good price / sale. Otherwise psprices digital sales bby
I never knew we had one. I just rang them up for repairs lol.
@NESlover85 Nintendo of America does, but going to it just says it is current closed because of COVID.
I do remember I once had a thought of buying a Wii Balance Board set from them when they wanted to liquidate their stock at 25 bucks a couple years ago, but decided just buying one of the many boards piled up at Goodwill for 8 bucks was good for LULZ enough.
The store was useful for when they sold the Solaire and AC Sanrio amiibo. I was expecting them to release the Monster Hunter Rise ones through it too but guess we'll be going another route.
@KnightsTemplar Never said my country was good. 🤷♂️
@NESlover85 A lot more people share that comment, When in heaven's name did Nintendo have an Ebay store?
There never utilised properly anyway. Mostly just LABO replacements on there and the odd amiibo.
I live in Australia and I never knew there was a Nintendo eBay page. If they sold reasonably priced joycon, I’d have been all over it...
Well this is something interesting
I never even knew they had eBay stores.
I always picture Nintendo of Australia’s office as being run out of a 15 year old’s bedroom in their parents house. Might as well be.
They were not scalping people were they?, seems to be the norm on Flea-Bay with consoles.
@GrandScribe
It is just the Question of what is cheaper?
If the Break Even Point says that selling over a Plattform that still exists, you choose it.
They hardly even sold anything via their eBay store. They had, I believe, a measly 300 Sanrio amiibo packs that were sold out almost immediately and were never restocked. Thanks for nothing. 😡
The only thing I recall buying from them was the Qbby amiibo.
I might remember hearing something like this. It's a shame things like this close down. It seems to me that when Nintendo has a great idea(like the switch), there is always a catch with it and it can never reach it's full potential. And if they have a good idea that does reach its full potential, it gets shut down or doesn't last long.
And now we learn the real purpose of all the product shortages and time limited sales to boost ebay prices.....
