i got a DSi last week, I already downloaded a few DSiware titles such as flip champs, dr mario express, pictobits, and a few others, pictobits is awesome (and addicting); infact one of the reasons I purchased a DSi was for the shop/dsiware stuff.
The good DSiware games will come out, it takes time, but for now we have a few decent titles that are worth downloading.
I wouldnt mind seeing SSB on our VC, I'm playing a lot more Brawl lately, every once in awhile I'll put in Melee, but still having the 64 smash would be nice
Golden Axe and Super Mario Kart interest me, I don't care much about the others, I guess it's confirmed SMK gets released in other territories in the near future
I noticed most of this years games have gone 1 week with an 8 bit game and the next with a 16 bit game, our only break was when we got Majora's Mask last week, I'm not surprised one bit about Clayfighter being released, now the only game we don't have that Europe has in the SG games is E-Swat and I have no idea why they won't release it...
well i'll be it finally came out, I'll end up getting it even though I have the N64 one, Sometimes I get the original and VC version just to say I have it.
they could release the game by stripping the 007 part out of the title, they may also have to change some in game text, but it could work, not like most of us have a 360 anyway...
Not interested in this weeks update, but I did get Majoras Mask in the mail today, so I'll be playing that all night tonight, hopefully for the others it'll come next week, if you still have an N64 i'd recommend hunting it down, or get the VC version when it comes out.
i'm gonna get majoras mask on my next paycheck, I have to order it online though, I bought the 4mb expansion for my N64 last week, so I'll skip the VC MM, as for this weeks VC, I got Tower Toppler, it has pretty decent graphics for a C64 game, they look really good.
I can see how other people are disapointed though...
I read that the reason why ninty lowered the amount of VC releases is so they can push Wiiware more, and I think they've achieved that goal, for me I'm happy as to what the VC has become, they gave us imports, and games that we would normally be unable to get elsewhere.
Sure ninty acts in strange ways, but I think they've done a good job with the VC, and no matter how you look at it 297 games is pretty impressive, and yes I do know Japan gets majorly spoiled with VC releases, but hey it's Japan >_>
I don't see why you guys care so much about one game a week, think about it most months usually have 4 or 5 weeks, so if we get one game a week on a 4 week month thats 4 games, so then we have a 5 week month that's 5 games so 4 + 5 is 9 games in two months, how many months are in a year you add to that and that is how many games you get in a year.
It's really not THAT bad think about it, south korea only gets updates every 2 to 4 weeks EU gets one VC update every fortnight so it's really not that bad.
For the first time in a long time I downloaded both titles that were added to the shop channel, Crystal Defenders is pretty cool, it's easy to get into, and I'm a little bit into the Wonder Boy series of games, the graphics look ok for a Genesis game, but still your better off with the TGCD one.
I'm fine with them getting more games than us, as long as Nintendo keeps adding to the US catalogue every week, sure it's one game, but it's one game more each week, we're only 4 games away from our 300th game, also the reason why JP has more games than us is because they got a hell of a lot of launch games, just go to the wiki list and you'll see that it dwarfs our launch games.
This game is on the ESRB page so we might get this Monday, unless Nintendo decides to release Majora's Mask, I'm guessing MM will be our 300th game, so don't get your hopes up.
When I first read that this game got released I thought this was the 32X version of the game, but it's the Genesis one, don't know if I'll get it but it's good to see Genesis games released on the VC that arn't on a collection already.
I'm also glad another publisher is supporting the VC, that's always good news to hear.
That means Majoras Mask is our 300th game, I've never even heard of Uncharted Water series until it was announced on the VC, I'm not sure if I'll get it though.
And about Majoras Mask I'm still on Ocarina of Time so that'll hold me over until then.
Majora's Mask will be awesome when it gets released here, I had it back when it first came out, now you don't need an expansion pak to play the game, but yeah I agree it is kinda difficult and annoying at times, still a fun game though.
Namco is good and all, but I'm really hoping for some CPS2 fighting games such as Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, or any of the arcade SF2 games they're certainly better than the watered-down SNES/SG ports.
I'm really looking into buying Detana TwinBee, I heard it's a cool game, I'm surprised Nintendo gave hudson a week of their own, it's cool to see the TG16 return this week, however don't expect anything big from next weeks releases, judging by the way ninty acts it'll be a one game week again.
I'm also predicting that the Genesis version of Wonder Boy will also be released.
according to what has happened in the past, when Hudson wanted games to come out on the VC Nintendo would change their mind and release something else, speaking of which I just checked the ratings on the ESRB page and yes, we will get another Wonder Boy game (Genesis); soon, so if Detana and Bomberman don't get released expect the Wonder Boy game instead
I think ninty is trying to make all regions have an equal amount of games, I'd like to see Dragon Slayer head our way as it's scheduled for release during the Hanabi festival, but I'm glad the EU folks get Kirby's Dream Land 3.
I love the classic Capcom coinop conversions, I will get this the next time I have some points on me, the game is pretty good I have it on the PSP Capcom collection game.
I never had a chance to play the Sonic games for Game Gear or SMS, I already have Sonic 1, 2, and I'll get this game, I'm trying to get all the Sonic games on the VC, but theres still more ninty can release, when will they release Sonic & Knuckles, it's been rated for over a year now...
I already downloaded Rock 'n' Ball, I have the first Wonder Boy game on the VC for the SMS, they are all pretty much the same for me, allthough the extra FM Synthesis did sound interesting to me.
Back in the eighties to mid 90's most arcade games used an FM Synthesizer, even the Genesis had one, that's why when you compare the music to some SNES games to the Genny, the Genny sounds a bit different, some people say the Genny was "aging"; but that was due to Sega using a FM Synthesizer because at the time that was top of the line.
I like FM Synthesis though, makes the games unique
Already downloaded it, it's my favorite game from the original NES series, I like the way 2009 is looking, we had Kirby Dream Land last week, and now Castlevania III, we also have Ogre Battle, and Super Punch Out to look forward to.
I'll definitely download Super Punch Out, I remember playing it as a kid, and I always wanted to play it again, I also hear Ogre Battle is a great game as well, but I'm more interested in Super Punch Out.

I'm glad ninty is supporting the C64, I just wish we could get some more arcade games like Japan is getting
Re: OFLC Update: Super Mario Kart Finally Coming!
Pilotwings was esrb rated at one time when the VC first began, but then they dropped it, looks like they're gonna have to rate it again >_>

Re: Super Punch-Out!! Available in Europe Tonight
This is rated by the ESRB so we should get this game sometime in the future
Re: USA VC Update: Summer Games II
A few more weeks from now we'll be at 300 games, but thats like 13 weeks if they keep releasing one at a time, still 300 is quite a bit.
Re: USA VC Update: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
I'll get this game sometime soon, I like the Square games
Re: The TurboGrafx-16 Returns to North America in March
I don't have a Bomberman game yet, so when these games come out, I'll get Bomberman 94' and maybe the Twinbee game.
Re: Japan to get the Classic Controller Pro
I think they have some 3rd party "grips"; for the classic controller like this already out, I am fine with the current classic controller.
Re: USA VC Update: Commodore 64 Launches With Three Games
Glad we finally got it this week, I might pick up Pit Stop II or the Last Ninja whenever I get some points

I saw this rated awhile back and I was surprised to see it coming to the VC, I'll get it the next time I have some points.

Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - February 2009
I doubt we'll ever see most of those PC Engine titles released over here, we havn't had a TurboGrafx game since October!
Re: USA VC Update: Wonder Boy in Monster Land
I already downloaded Rock 'n' Ball, I have the first Wonder Boy game on the VC for the SMS, they are all pretty much the same for me, allthough the extra FM Synthesis did sound interesting to me.

Re: EU VC Update: Mario Golf and Wonder Boy in Monster Land
I bet the US will get Wonder Boy either Monday or sometime in the near future...
Re: USA VC Update: MUSHA
This game looks interesting so I'll probably download it down the road, but this is like our 100th shooter on the VC though.
Re: USA VC Update: Castlevania III
Already downloaded it, it's my favorite game from the original NES series, I like the way 2009 is looking, we had Kirby Dream Land last week, and now Castlevania III, we also have Ogre Battle, and Super Punch Out to look forward to.
