Now that Japan has Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition, I guess we can say that they'll release Super Street Fighter II on the Genesis as well?
I don't mind them releasing Special Champion Edition because personally I think it's much better than the SNES version, I was also curious as to wether they will release it at all considering they already put out all the SNES versions.
Just downloaded Chase HQ and Art of Fighting 2 today, and I have to say that Art of Fighting 2 is probably the better choice, Chase HQ is good for the first few minutes, but it's not so good after that, for Art of Fighting 2 what can I say it's a Neo Geo fighter, anyone who's familiar with AoF series should get it.
Neo Turf Masters is a good golf game, I play it all the time on my PSP with SNK Arcade Classics, the graphics look good, and it plays well, who cares if it's a sports game if you can enjoy yourself playing it?
I hope it gets released either tomorrow (Monday); or in the month of August.
I remember playing this game on the Sega Game Gear a long long time ago, and I happen to like it, since the Game Gear and Master System are almost the same, there probably is no difference, plus 500 points for it isn't to shabby either, i'll get this when it comes out.
I noticed something in this video, when Mega Man gets hit it has the sound effects from Mega Man 2, also his shooting sounds like Mega Man 2 as well, but this game is gonna be awesome and I'll download this as soon as it gets released, can't wait!
King of the Monsters might just be cult enough for me to give it a download later this week, and the SPOGS racing sounds like Uniracers on the SNES, but instead of a unicycle you got a wheel, go figure...
Neo Turf Masters is finally coming out for the Neo Geo, this is one cool golf game, even if you don't like golf Turf Masters is really enjoyable, hopefully it'll come stateside sometime.
Just checked the wiki page for North America and Europe's VC games, we now have 232 games each, but different games for different regions, I guess they were trying to catch up to the others region in terms of VC releases, strange isnt it?
If you keep expecting Earthbound to come out every week, and keep getting disapointed, I would just give up completely, I already downloaded Burning Fight, I've played the game before, I'm also excited that we got 3 Neo Geo games all together this month.
I still have yet to download the Nintendo Channel, and I probably won't, but after seeing the new update, I actually have no need to get the update as well, as long as the Wii Shop Channel still works without doing an update I'm ok with not updating.
Downloaded Samurai Shodown and playing it for the first time, impressive graphics and gameplay is just as good, I also have this on SNK arcade classics collection for my PSP which is soon to be released on the Wii as well.
I have real fond memories of the SNES version of Fatal Fury Special, I know this is Fatal Fury 2, but they are almost identical in terms of play, but the SNES wasn't nearly as powerful as the Neo Geo, infact mentioning the words, SNES, power, and Neo Geo in the same sentance isn't wise.
I never played Alex Kidd before, but here in the states we only have the Genesis version and I don't think that's a good game at all, the Master System one is probably better than the 16 bit version after reading the good comments that the game gets.
Another N64 game is good news, not a big fan of Renegade though, I guess Pokemon Puzzle League is our replacement for Tetris Attack since it's been out in Japan for a long time already.
I already have 12 out of the 20 games you guys mentioned, I'm surprised Cruis'n USA is on that list, I bought the actual N64 cartridge instead of the VC version, and that is an awful game, but it is fun.
Also to the people saying Nintendo will release a bad game and people will buy it, I do hope more people find out about this site, and that way it can possibly eliminate the chances of a bad game coming out in the future, but I doubt it though, people go with games they've played before, even if it is bad.
This is awesome, River City Ransom is good news considering most weeks of VC releases for the US has been very dry, the next thing I'm hoping for is having a 3 game week release one more time in the future.
Glad to see we're getting a game that Europe has had for awhile, I don't think I'll get Renegade considering I still own the NES cart, and I have never played River City Ransom at all (you're probably wondering why); I'd get that if I had some Wii points on me though, it'll be awhile before I get some more.
Turrican is good fun, I enjoyed Super Turrican on the SNES, I guess the Genesis version is just as fun though, is there any big difference from the SNES or Genesis version?
Funny how they release Bases Loaded just as baseball season starts, I still have the cartridge for the game, so there won't be any reason for me to get it on the VC, Yoshi's Cookie is an ok game, however I first played it on the SNES, and that one is much better, but the NES version is better than nothing though.
Mine consist of but not limited to the following games:
1. Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Edition for the Sega Genesis 2. Mega Man Series for the United States - NES 3. Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask - N64 4. Mega Man 64 - N64 5. Donkey Kong 64 - N64
Europe got the C64 on Thursday, US gets Master System on Monday, I guess both systems might be region exclusives for now, but that might change, not sure though.
I will probably get both games because I have enough points to get Cruis 'n USA and the Wonder Boy game.
I actually liked Cruis 'n USA back in the day, and I think this might be the first N64 game to not come from Nintendo, am I right? I think Midway made the Cruis'n game if im not mistaken.
But either way this is a good week, can't wait for Monday to get here!
Glad you guys got the C64 today, I wouldn't mind seeing those here on Monday myself, I was to young when the C64 came out back in the 80's.
If we do get Cruis 'n USA Monday I wouldn't mind it at all, I actually liked that game back when I had my N64, it's not that bad if you guys give it a chance, but maybe there'll be a proper review so we can judge for ourselves.
Sonic and Knuckles is awesome game, I still have the original cart for the Genesis, but I might get this as well for some odd reason, I'm sure it'll be a few months before they release it though, glad to see they released all the classic Sonics on the VC.
Good to see the VC getting new systems, the Master System did see a release of Sonic The Hedgehog (which was basically the GameGear port for the Master System); the MS also had games like Alex Kidd, and even a few (but somewhat bad); ports of Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter 2 even saw a release in Brazil, but never made it out of that country.
The pricing seems reasonable for Master System games, (anything thats 500 points is a good deal); and the games are small in size, so it takes less than a minute (?) to download.
I loved this game as a child, I got tired of playing the older Street Fighters on the system, I wanted an updated version, then I remember renting this from Blockbuster, then rushing home to play it, the first thing that got me was the awesome intro of Ryu executing a fireball, then the music got stuck in my head forever, glad they redid it.
I highly recommend this game, it's the best Street Fighter on the system, (I didn't like Street Fighter Alpha 2 though, horrible, horrible port); 5/5 rating.
People, SSF2T never came out on the SNES because the SNES could not handle it, it wasn't even made, but still SSF2 is my fav SNES fighter, I have great memories of this as a child, highly recommended, they improved everything in this version, graphics, sound, and music.
Oh one more note, there is a difference between regions in the SSF2 game, music wise, Capcom changed the music in the US version to sound a little better, just letting you guys know for the ones in Europe, Japan already had it for awhile now.
Hopefully this will be a sign of things to come as far as the Mega Man games are concerned, Top Hunter is basically Metal Slug as far as I know, I never played Light Crusader though.

Art of Fighting 2 is great, you get to play as Ryo's sister, Yuri!

Re: Mega Man 1 & 2 Coming To North America Soon?
Heres hoping Mega Man comes before Mega Man 9, I do have number 2,3, and 4 on the NES though, but I like having a virtual copy, great news!
Re: US VC Release - 30th June - Fatal Fury 2
Fatal Fury 2 is good, let's hope we receive Special in the near future.
I got some points so I'll be downloading this later tonight once I free up some space from my other Neo Geo games on my Wii

Good week for me.
Re: EU VC Releases - 20th June - Epic Fail
Man no VC releases at all must blow, I should've known Nintendo will limit VC releases along with WiiWare, Nintendo acts in mysterious ways.

Re: Dig Dug
Played the arcade game a long time ago, it's pretty fun, but I wouldn't give it no more than 3 stars though.
Re: US VC Release - May 19th - Sky Kid
I'll be getting Sky Kid later today, I probably won't have enough points for the WiiWare games.
Re: Art of Fighting 2
Not much of an Art of Fighting fan, but this does look a lot better than the first installment.
