It's time to take a look at the most popular DSiWare titles available on the DSi Shop. If you're feeling adventurous you can even take a look for yourself by simply logging on to the DSi Shop, heading into the DSiWare section and then viewing by "Popular Games". It's that easy!
We compile this list using the USA region DSi Shop, so if you live elsewhere your list will probably be quite a bit different. Please feel free to post your region's findings below as always.
Keep in mind that the list below is based on the total number of downloads made recently, not an overall total of downloads since the game's original release.
Here is the list for the 17th of June:
1 (1) - Nintendo DSi Browser
2 (8) - Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again
3 (2) - Paper Airplane Chase
4 (4) - WarioWare: Snapped!
5 (6) - Bird & Beans
6 (3) - Dr. Mario Express
7 (5) - Photo Clock
8 (7) - American Popstar: Road to Celebrity
9 (9) - Mighty Flip Champs
10 (10) - Art Style: PICTOBITS
11 (11) - Real Soccer 2009
12 (12) - Master of Illusion Express: Deep Psyche
13 (N) - Mario Clock
14 (15) - Master of Illusion Express: Funny Face
15 (13) - Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics
16 (14) - Animal Crossing Calculator
17 (N) - Mario Calculator
18 (17) - Master of Illusion Express: Shuffle Games
19 (16) - Brain Age Express: Math
20 (18) - Mixed Messages
* (N) - Denotes a brand new entry in the Top 20
* (-) - Denotes a game that was not on the Top 20 last week
Well as expected, the Nintendo DSi Browser is hanging in solidly at #1. Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again managed to climb a few more spots to #2 dropping Paper Airplane Chase down to #3.
Both Mario applications that were released this week found their way onto the charts (although with only 22 US releases, that wasn't too difficult to do) with Mario Clock coming in at #13 and Mario Calculator debuting at #17. It should be interesting to see how high these apps can climb in the coming weeks.
The big climber this week was Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again, which climbed six spots to #2. The big dropper this week was Animal Crossing Calculator which went from #14 to completely falling off of the chart.
Art Style: AQUIA and Animal Crossing Calculator both fell off of the Top 20 this week. It's strange, but these Art Style games tend to come on strong and then fade quickly.

Im going to buy Minis March Again and Flip Champs as soon as a get out of school. MFC should be higher.
It's a shame AQUIA fell off the charts. It's a great game.
And, unless Nintendo comes up with a cheap, awesome game, nothing will replace the Browser. Obviously, it's good and free, so why not get it?
Nothing worth downloading as usual the DSi is letting me down with these crappy DLC.
You mde a mistake. It was the animal crossing*Clock* that fell off the charts.
Yeah. Some games are good, but everyone can agree that DSiWare is an absolute joke.
If this was the only thing you could play with the DSi (if it didn't have a DS cart slot) MAN would the system die off fast.
MFC and PictoBits should be way higher.
So far, Mighty Flip Champs and Mario vs. Donkey Kong have been the only highlights of the DSiWare service for me. The Art Style stuff is alright, but not what I would put under the "must-have" category personally.
The only crappy games are the clocks and calculators. Why does everyone think the DSiWare sucks? Wait for more games to come out.
i got a DSi last week, I already downloaded a few DSiware titles such as flip champs, dr mario express, pictobits, and a few others, pictobits is awesome (and addicting); infact one of the reasons I purchased a DSi was for the shop/dsiware stuff.
The good DSiware games will come out, it takes time, but for now we have a few decent titles that are worth downloading.
Poor Art Style. Pity.
@Corbie: Which one do you prefer? I plan to get both eventually, but I only have enough for one now. Also, if MFC super-hard, I tend to be put off by that.
MFC isn't really that difficult. It does get tricky in later levels, and you are required to put on that thinking cap, but it's by far the one I prefer, by a good margin.
@Corbie Really... For me, Mario vs. Donkey Kong is the clear winner. My philosophy for DSiWare is that content beats out creativity. So obviously Minis March Again! has more content, and MFC boasts the creativity.
I find Mario vs. Donkey Kong a bit stale at times. I think I got burned out on the original when it first came out. I just played it into the ground. But both are top notch. It's win/win.
Fair enough, Corbie. I think a big reason our opinions differ is a reason you pointed out: You played the original into the ground. I don't even own it. Anyway, I win/win too as I have both.
More free stuff please, Nintendo~!
I cant believe so many people downloaded photo clock.
There are three things that nintendo needs to do to get dsiware to be good
1.Add a virtual console
2.Focus on really getting a lot of high quality games for it such as Mario vs. donkey kong and stop making meaningless apps.
3.Get a LOT more third party developers. If they get get enough then they can release more games and mabey make it become sort of like the app store for the iphone.
Also if nintendo has to make apps then they should at least release ones that are good like a downloadable cookbook with new recepis every week or something. Also less puzzel games, more RPG and action/adventure
Frankly, I think the browser shouldn't be even included in the list. It's the same when it comes to saying "Hey, look! Wii Sports sold that many copies!" in NA. Well, whoop-dee-f******-do! It was a freebie, too!
The DSiWare most popular games only lists 20 games. So if we delete this one, and any other freebies, we won't have a full twenty. In fact it would vary depending on how many freebies were currently in the Top 20 each week.
What about Top 20 Virtual Console games?
I wasn't aware there were 20 games yet.
i cant believe aquia isnt on the list AND photo clock is at number 7
