Re: The First Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update Gifts Players A Nintendo Switch

Ok, we'll we can keep our eye on it. I am bummed though and really disappointed in Gamestop. I only preordered the game through them because of a gift card....theres no pre order gift and they are not participating in an early release that I hear some retailers are doing . Not to mention the employees had no idea what the Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards were...

Re: Video: Three New Animal Crossing: New Horizons Commercials To Brighten Your Day

@presenttense Well, you really don't have to do anything. You don't win or lose. Basically the more "tasks" you complete the more you earn in the game. For example, in New Leaf for the 3ds, You dig up fossils, catch different kinds of fish, and buy different kinds of artwork...now that is just to fill your museum. The more you put into your museum the better it is. Also you do a lot for your villagers...so they will ask you for favors and if you do that, they will give you something whether it's clothing or furniture or whatever...plus they may ask you to visit your house or you visit there's. They may ask you to give something to another villager..the thing I really liked about New Leaf is how "nice" they were to you. I'm treated better by my Kangaroo Kitt than most people I know...and that's a huge draw. Oh, I forgot, you can shop, plant trees and flowers, change your landscape, buy new clothes, add town decore like bridges, water fountains, clock towers, tons of stuff....I have over 1700 in animal crossing new leaf. I unwind before bed even if for 5 minutes checking on my villagers to make sure they are "ok"....yah, I'm fried...

Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Box Office Surpasses $200 Million Worldwide

@Heavyarms55 See to me I can look at it differently. I don't like video game to movie concepts either but because I don't like Sonic games I can look at this as just a "cute adventure" film. It won't ruin my already imagined idea of what Sonic would be like. Even as a die hard Sega fan, Sonic never appealed to me. Who knows if I'll see it..I guess it depends if it hits Netflix or whatever...

Re: Sega Laments Poor Performance Of Its Console Releases In Latest Financial Report

Joe-b

@Darknyht Right. As a Sega "fanboy" of old....I am saddend by what has happened to Sega. My favorite systems, NOT just Sega systems, are the Master System, Dreamcast, had fun with the Genesis as well, (DS line, Wii, Switch,)..I remember where I was when I read in a magazine that the Dreamcast was going to be discontinued and how depressed I was. Sega used to be great. Great titles, unique games, best Arcade games hands down, but they must have lost 90% of all the good people and have really become nothing so fast. When Nintendo played dirty and wouldn't let 3rd party companies make games for the competition, Sega had to be creative and rely on all their strengths and arcade titles. Now, we get Sonic....over and over. Who cares anymore. Bring us Arcade titles and the games people want. Not "Sonic goes shopping", or whatever else.....

Re: Nintendo Will Stop Repairing Wii Consoles In Japan This March

This stirs up my biggest issue in gaming. Maybe someone else feels the same. I've been playing video games since Atari at my friends home and I had Colecovision. My issue is we spend all this time and money on a console and the games. We have great experiences and then someone decides when it ends for us, (like the VCR/DVD scenario). My Colecovision is long gone but to be able to play on the original (not some AT Games Retro junk box) should still be an option. Or to be able to maybe play any of those titles and I mean any title, on my Switch should be an option even though it won't be as good as the original. Same with other systems as well. Why should I have to say, "Remember HERO or Bump n Jump on Colecovision? Or Golvellius on the Sega Master System?" Soon to be saying "Remember Excite Truck on the Wii?" We should always be able to play it without jumping through hoops..find a way around rediculous licensing. In short, not to keep going because I could, that is my biggest problem in gaming.
