@graviton I'm just bummed it isn't fun any longer like when Reggie was around. Everything now is watered down, and ridiculously overpriced. I'm skipping the Switch 2. There are some Switch 1 games coming that will keep me busy until I decide which way to go next.

I love how they zoom in 500x to show the "jaggies" on the face of the animal crossing player. As if to say "it's way better on Switch 2." My Switch copy doesn't look like that. Desperate move.

Not buying a Switch 2. Was going to get a Steam Deck but prefer a true console unit. I'll wait and check out Sonys machine

My family of 4 has 6 Switches over 7 + yrs..we've decided to pass on Switch 2 due to all the associated greed. HOWEVER, the Shenmue series would be a day one purchase for me..

@PikminMarioKirby glad they're selling. If it were based on my family they'd sell zero. There's 4 of us, 6 Switches over 7 years. No one wants a Switch 2. Over priced games and an initial Direct to cure insomnia. And I'm not a hater. We wanted a Switch 2....they just botched it big time.

@Wilshiire theirs a lot of angry people since the Direct. I have to wonder if they realized they screwed up. Or will they realize when the unit stalls at 18-20 million. There's 4 of us in the family. We all have a Switch. Took us 6 years but now we all have one. We were very let down and realized, we're not buying a Switch 2. I mean, you don't even own the full game on cartridge from what I understand

@Porco nicely put. Am I correct? If you purchase the physical copy you actually don't get a full game on a cartridge?

@the_beaver I think the game overall is fantastic. The gameplay is great and the soundtrack is memorable as well...but the story and characters is what makes it so good. It looks good but a little more graphical polish wouldn't hurt. I wouldn't let that bother you though. I've seen other sites rank the game very high. I'm not jumping on Switch 2 right away but I'll change my mind quick if Falcom is jumping in with Ys series games!

.Frame rate drop? So what. I started playing video games in 1982. None of that bothers me. Frame rate drop only bothers the "newer" generation, and that's because game reviewers made it a big thing.

I caught one serious error. Ys VIII should be at least in the top 20. It's not.

Nintendo applying the Wii virtual console to the Switch 2 would be amazing. If the unit is over $399, I probably won't buy one as that's too high for any videogame system. However, 399 and a VC? That might be worth it!

The Egg games are lousy. Ys 1 needs a proper release on Switch. Not this choppy Egg Console version.

I was more concerned that nobody will care. I can't make an assessment until I personally see the next Direct. That "reveal" did zero for me. I love my Switch. I need to see if games I actually want will be coming to the new deck...otherwise it's a Wii U to me.

I would love for them to make H.E.R.O.
Not sure if it was actually an arcade game but I had a blast with it on Colecovision.

We need all 3 games not just the 3rd. That makes no sense to just release the 3rd on on Switch...if that's even going to happen.

@Azami no one has Nintendo's library so they'll never make it.

You'd see an improvement if it were done on the Sega Master System, so I'm sure the Switch version is great.

@BodkinDQ yes! I just finished Alliance Alive for the 3rd time on Switch and will be picking this up, or downloading it, very soon. Wish it were on sale.. !

@epicgamner I think the same thing everytime they release software sales figures. It's insane. Then I think about all this profit and how much is going into R&D for the next system. Should be amazing.

@johnvboy with the niche the Swith has filled, and the Switch 2 prob coming in at $400...Switch 2 won't catch Switch in sales. I'd love it if it did, but I don't think it will. There going to need that 1st party killer line up the Switch had in those first few years to make a good dent in current Switch sales. Just my opinion.

How they missed Outlast is a pure amateur maneuver. Unless I missed it...

I like how it looks like you slow down in towns as if there's some RPG elements instead of whipping through like space harrier for example.

@Rudolf Hey, thanks for reaching out. Yes, I saw that. I did just finish Ys VIII again, what a great game. Looking forward to X. I'll prob get Ys 1 and 2, hoping the Japanese won't be a problem!

@Rudolf yah, I've played ys 1 several times. I could probably do it without knowing Japanese. I would just need to get through the weapon purchases. I'm playing Ys VIII again. 3rd time though. Such an amazing game.

@Rudolf wow. That's surprising. I find it almost unplayable its so choppy. Well, let's see if an English release comes this way. If I'm not mistaken, it's only in Japanese at the moment.

@JohnnyMind I was so hoping for one of those better versions. Remember the Wii shop? Moment of silence. Ok, so I did get Ys 1 and 2 from the Tg16 cd version. I say moment of silence because if Nintendo dropped the ball somewhere, it was the Switch Eshop.

@JohnnyMind yah, but this version is the worst. Choppy, and plays terrible when compared to the Master System and any System following... I'm so disappointed. I've been waiting since the Switch released and we get this lousy version.

@EarthboundBenjy yah, it doesn't look as nice as the Master System either. I've waited so long for Ys to come out on Switch and this is the version we get. Talk about phoning it in!

I have been waiting since the Switch arrived for this one particular game to arrive. What do we get? he most unplayable choppy as all get version. It literally will make you sick playing this version with the choppiness.

It's a no brainer. There's no way Switch 2 meets Switch 1 sales numbers. Switch had a special niche. Along with gamers, people who didn't play games, Ala Wii, bought one. Switch 2 is rumored to be $400. I mean from a house of 4 people and 6 Switches, only one of us is buying a Switch 2. I might at some point but it's gonna have to have the games I want....not even Switch in all its shovel ware glory had games I was looking for.

Can't seem to find out when these will be available at the grocery store...anyone know if these are out yet?

@CharlieZee I don't want to tell you what to read, but a CSB, Christian Standard Bible, is very good and its not for one group. New world is only for jehovah witnesses. Be carefull.
