Re: Capcom Fighting Collection Receives A Free QoL Update September 27th

JedRock

@Vyacheslav333 oh, I agree... in the case of Puzzle Fighter, the Saturn version had REALLY GREAT remixed music.... and then Saturn had released Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold that gave some new moves, redone music, ability to play older versions of characters, and the ability to play as Cammy....

things like that

Re: Feature: What's Your Biggest Nintendo Launch Day Regret?

JedRock

just like the 1st writer stated with 1, 2, Switch, I was wowed and jumped on it IMMEDIATELY (I'm a suckered for gimmicks, I admit).... and people were always impressed when I showcased the game to them (I was an early adopter for Wii), but that magic died FAST... in about an hour like the writer also said. Nothing about the game feels like a full-fledged $60 price tag... I'd even have a hard time justifying $30 for it.. maybe $20, but it really should have just been a pack-in tech demo...

Re: Mini Review: Tormented Souls - A Survival Horror Homage For Genre Nuts Only

JedRock

I played the demo on PC and recently played and finished it on Series S and I absolutely LOVED it... it gets ALL the CLASSIC survival horror elements perfectly (even the horrible voice acting.... if that was even intentional lol).... have been waiting for this game on the Switch ever since it's announcement and will still get this version, even if it'll clearly be a downgrade from other console ports, but buying this on the Switch and other platforms will let the devs know that they did a GREAT JOB with this title, and fans of CLASSIC survival horror, such as myself will gladly take more that may come our way!!

Re: Team Sonic Racing '30th Anniversary Edition' Listings Surface Online

JedRock

@Marioracer I dunno ... maybe just EASIER to unlock, I guess... coz the last few characters were a nightmare (for me) to unlock (from what I can recall)... so, not trying to go through that whole process again. Maybe some other things to unlock like, parts or color customizations like in Team Sonic Racing

Re: SNK Announces Neo Geo Pocket Color Compilation For Nintendo Switch

JedRock

dang... well, THAT'S sick!!! My buddy and I have recently proved that all these games (that we've played, so far, especially SvC) are INCREDIBLY fun and wild times... perhaps it's the simplicity and charm of the games (in terms or looks). Or maybe the fact that despite the games having the same "difficult" super moves like their full-fledged arcade/console counterparts, the moves are pretty easy to pull off? Either way, great fun!

Re: Wonderful 101: Remastered Gets Its Final Wonder Code, Here's Every Code Released So Far

JedRock

@Minfinity yea... I'm sure I'll eventually give it a try... I know I AM interested as I keep up with it's updates n stuff... I think it's just because it DOES have quite a learning curve early on, and so it doesn't allow me for an easy and quick pick up 'n play. I'm sure once I have the time to really sit and learn it tha I'll be able to enjoy it in the same way you have, as well 🙂

Re: Pokkén Tournament Producer Katsuhiro Harada Up For A Sequel, But Says It's Not Bandai Namco's Decision To Make

JedRock

@Snatcher That's really MY biggest complaint.. I'm not the biggest Pokemon fan, but I KNOW there some 800+ Pokemon out there. Now, I know not ALL of them are capable of being an actual fighter, but certainly more than what even Pokemon DX offered... not only that, but there were some odd omissions like Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, two Pokemon that are ACTUALLY fighters, and instead we had clone characters like Pikachu Libre and Shadow MewTwo... Yes, I KNOW they fight differently, but I feel that they should go through the list of actual potential pokemon before adding in clone characters.

Re: SNK Reveals The First Two Fighters In Samurai Shodown's Season Pass 3

JedRock

HIBIKI!!!!!!! Now I don't have to play SNK vs Capcom 2 to have a dream match with a SamSho character against her or vice-versa. Here's hoping for.... Akari, maybe? Also, at the expense of having another fighting game IP to basically become another crossover series', perhaps a character from Soul Calibur (Taki, Xianghua, or Sophitia) since Haohmaru showed up in Soul Calibur 6?

Re: Fatal Frame Turns 20 This Year, And Series Producer Keisuke Kikuchi Wants To "Celebrate It In Some Way If Possible"

JedRock

@Sabrewing i wasn't aware printing 16 pages was a tall request... and I'm sure Nintendo/Koei Tecmo could think of SOMETHING like possibly send a copy to those that purchased the game... or maybe access to another screen and flip through a digital book... i just feel with all the tech currently available, the possibilities are a bit vast. The whole "if there's a will, there's a way"... and who knows.. maybe they WILL have consumers print out 16 pages (though I personally think it'll be half that or less if they perhaps have a recommended print setting). I just think that stopping at "forcing people to print" is a bit short-sighted especially given that Nintendo came out with games that required the use of gimmicky peripherals like the Balance Board (not hating on gimmicky periphs coz Lord knows I love 'em)!

Re: Random: Finally, Someone Made Ramen For Gamers

JedRock

@Chlocean not to mention that a lot of "DIFFERENT" recipes SOUND dreadful because it's outside of what would be the norm, but think of something like fries or onion rings in a burger... I've been doing something like that since I was a child, and now they sell that at burger joints like it's a delicacy.... or even something like eating sushi... back several years ago, to a lot of westerners, the concept of eating raw fish was a squeemish concept, but now you see a sushi restaurant at every other shopping plaza... well, at least here in the US, at least.... so yea, I think it's something worth trying... and if it is indeed gross, well then, guess we know not to eat it.
I also think a lot of this is psychological, too. Like, if the food were a "normal" color and there was no mention of what the ingredients were and it ended up tasting good (and safe to consume), then what does it matter what was used to make the recipe?

Re: Random: Finally, Someone Made Ramen For Gamers

JedRock

I mean, I'd TRY it... it's either going to be edible (possibly really tasty) or not. There are some concoctions that may SOUND gross, but the end result MAY be something nice.... like.. a cake made of mayonnaise sounds dreadful to many people, but when you break it down, it's just oil and eggs that you woud've added to a cake, anyways.... now, I know that example isn't quite the same because there isn't anything here that the Mountain Dew brings to the table in terms of ingredient substitute, but the end result might prove to be something delicious.... then again... 😅😅😅

Re: The Wonderful 101: Remastered Gets A New Wonder Code, Here's Every Code Released So Far

JedRock

@NEStalgia same... like every time I SEE this game in action, even back on the Wii U, I was just in amazement... and when I heard of it's release for the Switch n stuff, I got excited... but whereas on the Wii U I PROBABLY got to stage 2, I couldn't even finish the demo... just SOMETHING about it... but it IS indeed very entertaining... scenes like where Wonder Blue had just transformed and they paused in mid-air, bur he kept moving out of place were hilarious... tons of charm, but just probably not my game

Re: Feature: Why Open A Video Game Shop During A Global Pandemic?

JedRock

@superderper "you're" and I didn't realize that I or others couldn't have opinions about US related topics (political or not) on what is otherwise a foreign site. Guess I can't talk about Japanese video games, right? Because this IS a UK site, after all... But nice attempt at the attack 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Re: The Man Behind Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Is Working On A Follow-Up, But There's A Catch

JedRock

as this game was already a departure from the series, it may as well have had different character names.... I think they just kept certain aspects of the original to help play with people's nostalgia or such that would make them think "whoa, that's new." Either way, I'm totally on board for a new horror game, Silent Hill related or not, that uses the same or similar aspects of this game!!

Re: Brawler64 Aims To Be The Ultimate Wireless N64 Controller

JedRock

I was actually checking this out on their website recently because I was looking into the Striker DC and Brawler Gen (which I plan to get)... if they were to just make on that was Wii (U) related or heck even Switch (ha, I KNOW the company is RETRO), or heck, for anything for the PS1-PS4, I'll be all over it!!

Re: Oops! Nintendo Seems To Have Accidentally Revealed Kirby Fighters 2

JedRock

THIS... IS... AMAZING!!! I mean, I would've honestly ever settled for just an HD version of Kirby Fighters Deluxe, but to have a full-fledged priced sequel is just exciting news to me. I didn't know too many people that owned a 3DS, and those that did certainly didn't have this game, so I had to download a copy on my sister's 3DS so we could play it together.. so is so amazing because I was literally just telling my friend about this game (the 3ds one) just about a month ago... always thought that the Switch and it's default multi-player capabilities seemed like a good home for this game... always had a gripe that the 1st game (well, the Deluxe version, anyways) was very limited in ability selection considering ALL of Kirby's copy abilities (and yes, I know some wouldn't translate well to a fighting game to stand up to other abilities), but now that can all be mitigated... AND we get to play as other characters, as well!!!

Re: Accessory Maker NEXiLUX Launches Its 'Joy-Con Alternative' Controllers For Nintendo Switch

JedRock

recently bought the neon green/pink combo off Amazon (different company, exact same design) and these "joy-cons" are AMAZING!!! They feel perfect regardless if you're using them individually, on the grip, or on the consoles (it's incredibly comfortable with that method). The ONLY "gripe" I had is while using them sideways... due to it's "ergonomic design," playing sideways was clearly an afterthought, which is fine, because I can't think of too many time's I'd need to use my Switch in tabletop mode and playing 2-player games. That said, it's even "worse" using the left gripes D-pad as button inputs (for games like Street Fighter). Other than that, a solid 9/10 for me!!!
