Re: Katsuhiro Harada on What Sets Pokkén Tournament Apart from Tekken

JedRock

I'm DEFINITELY content with the current look and feel of it...I HAVE noticed a some nods to Tekken and it's characters' signature moves, like Pikachu doing Michelle/Julia's sweep/arrow combo...I wonder what other moves have been translated into the game and if ALL the characters will employ some sort of rendition of the Tekken counterparts.

Re: Wii Street U Service Being Discontinued In March, Leaving eShop This Month

JedRock

I used it a few times and I thought, while not the most usable app in world, it was pretty interesting in how it was operated. It was also pretty cool while I was in the Navy and had friends from all over the world that could literally show me where they lived. I was also able to see what the house I live in looked like prior to it being built. Unless its costing more money to keep tgis sevrice available, i see no reason to stop the service....even if I might just look at it once in a blue moon

Re: Nintendo Download: 31st December (North America)

THIS is how we end the year? Year of Luigi was great for Dr. Luigi, at least. WAS lookin forward to Chasing Dead since it was a "2015" release (and it would have been perfect too, since it's the last day of the year) but the developers on their fb site just messaged saying that it won't be til late Feb, early March til it's release...boooo...

Re: Pokkén Tournament Will Feature 2-Player Local Multiplayer

JedRock

@Whopper744 fully agree! Love me some Splatoon, and it's fun bustung the game out, passing the gamepad aro7nd and introducing the game to friends, but...sometimes ya kinda just wanna play with or against those friends in the same room...touch screen features aside, I'm shocked Splatoon doesnt have at least 2-Player multiplayer outside of the balloon pop which I've yet to play.

Re: Review: Trauma Team (Wii U eShop / Wii)

JedRock

Played them all, beat them all, but by NO MEANS one of those crazy S rank guys (especially on X-missions). Completely love the series...too bad 3ds and Wii U don't have a game (yet) for it...I'd play it in a heartbeat!!! ;p

Re: Corrin Chooses to Fight in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS

JedRock

Soooooo.....instead of making a character from an OBVIOUSLY successful IP (Splatoon), they decide to make an FE character which I'm pretty sure most (not all) actually care(d) about. I was REALLY hoping for an Inkling...I was only excited about Bayonetta, but I would've preferred a fun character like Shovel Knight, the Inklings, or Rayman...I'm not really fond of the "serious" characters as I believe Smash is and was supposed to be a fun game taking fun Nintendo characters and pitting them against each other...now we just have a full roster of serious characters.....this is serious lol

Re: Video: Check Out Jools Watsham's Playthrough of Dementium Remastered's Introduction

JedRock

I feel like this remake gives me MORE incentive to play and finish this game. I, like many on here whose comments I've read, have the original, but never finish it. I don't mind a challenge in a game, but for a game that requires as much exploration as Dementium (or any survival horror) does, the respawning enemies and lack of saves made what would just be a challenge to downright unnecessarily unfair. I'm admittedly not a fan or very good at FPS games in general, but the survival horrror aspect was what drove me to want to play it, unfortunately with what I mentioned, it equally turned me away...I can safely say, that this time around, I've gotten further in a shorter time frame and am enjoying the experience more. So, WII U HD REMASTER!?!! DEMENTIUM 2 REMASTER!?!?

Re: Video: Here's What Luigi Mansion Arcade And Mario & Sonic At The Rio Olympics Look Like In The Flesh

JedRock

@vitalemrecords FULL AGREE!!! That game could EASILY translate inti a home console experience on the Wii U utilizing the wiimotes....if they're afraid of sales, they coupd always release this as an eShop title...I know I'd buy it!!! Or maaaaaaaaybe, they could release a full fledged game that goes into 1st person when you use the poltergust...similar to how Fatal Frame 5 is (3rd person gameplay, 1st person battles)

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Confirmed for The Game Awards as Gerudo Valley Music Remix Arrives

JedRock

Wait....so, accordingly to xenocity, me, a 34 y/o that's been playing video games all my life and own practically every system from NES, Sega Saturn, 360, Wii U and PS4 (and those in-between) that, because I don't choose to play a FPS game or similar, i'm not a "hardcore gamer"? Ooooohhh watch out, somebody's playing an M-rated game....because they're sooooooo "hardcore". Uh, yea.....amazing logic

Re: Yoshi's Woolly World Secures Top 10 Spot in US NPD Charts

JedRock

@Smoo just to piggy back on what Vanillalake said....they are BOTH great games and MUCH better than the New SMB series. DKTF IS very action paced and pretty challenging but in a fair way which oh btw, dont play this game thinking it's just a Mario platformer with DK characters coz my buddy and I habitually did that and we were in a world of hurt...for example, you dont automatically grab onto vines in DK. As far as Yoshi is concerned....the stages arent what's difficult...finding every secret and running through without taking damage (or at least having 20/20 hearts) til the end of the stage is where the challenge lies...and THAT is no joke. Lol

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Is Receiving A High-Definition Face Lift

JedRock

@Tiefseemiez the same goes for me...just really dont like (personally) investing a lot of time with huge open world adventure games (and heh, Zelda Wii U will DEFINITELY be that type of game)...i prefer my games a bit linear and around a 6-10 hrs time span...or maybe even something that ubcan just pick up n play a few rounds and call it a day (like Smash, MK8, Splatoon, etc)

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Is Receiving A High-Definition Face Lift

JedRock

@sillygostly i think the Zelda i recently (and when I say recently, I mean in the last decade) spent the most time in was Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks (I just remembered it's a DS game). Yea, I can see how it MIGHT be a bit off-putting to play an old game if you didn't grow up with it but it don't you think that's a slightly misguided mentality? I mean, people STILL play the heck out of (classic) Mario and are having a ball with Mario Maker. That said, even though it would never happen, people dream of a Zelda maker as well. Of course, i'm not hating on what you think...just sharing some perspective.
