Update [Tue 27th Sep, 2022 02:30 BST]: This update is now live for the Capcom Fighting Collection. You can see the full patch notes over on Capcom's official website. There are even some Switch-specific fixes in there!
Original article [Thu 22nd Sep, 2022 04:55 BST]: The official Street Fighter Twitter account has revealed the Capcom Fighting Collection will be receiving a sizable update next week on September 27th.
Players can look forward to viewable hitboxes, new coloured gems in the game Puzzle Fighter, and the ability to view your opponent's connection status within a match. Here's the tweet:
When Capcom Fighting Collection rolled out on the Switch in June, we said it was an essential purchase for one-on-one fighting game fans - awarding it eight out of ten stars in our Nintendo Life review. It includes 10 fighting classics in one collection.

Pretty cool that Capcom is doing this for this collection. Makes me wish the Street Fighter Anniversary did the same. That collection could have been so much better. Alpha 2 needs online play.
Oh thank GOODNESS for colorblind options being patched to Gem Fighter!
That game is unplayable for colorblind people, so I'm really really looking forward to this update.
When they will update it with console versions of the games? Oh, yeah - they are lazy and don't care about it... They will always port arcade original versions without the option to play console versions... Why SHMUP developers can port console versions of their games, while CAPCOM(and SNK too) can't port console versions of their FIGHTING games?... There is no logic. Just laziness... Same problem with Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Edition - there is no console version of III, for example. And there is impossible to play as boss characters(Urien and Gill). They are playable only in console versions. That sucks.
I would hope it isn’t paid.
@Serpenterror Didn't Capcom say this collection will have rollback?
OH HELL YES!
I love Capcom Fighting Collection myself, but I have pushed it a bit to the wayside as I work on SF 30th Anniversary Collection so this is a great incentive to get back into the swing of things!
Now that I'm thinking about it as well, I got a survey from Nintendo/Capcom not too long ago after buying CFC asking for my thoughts and what I'd like to see improved in the future. I guess this is what that survey was for in the end huh.
@shonenjump86
And the music turned up. All that great music and I have to put the volume on max to hear it.
That's great news, I hope it's even more than 3 things mentioned.
I like the Capcom Fighting Collection.
I wish they’d add the PlayStation single player mode to super puzzle fighter. No releases of the game have it.
I just want SF Alpha 3 Max on the switch, and marvel vs capcom 2.
@NeonPizza those are beat em ups (belt scrollers, if you prefer), and this compilation has fighting games.
@Vyacheslav333 oh, I agree... in the case of Puzzle Fighter, the Saturn version had REALLY GREAT remixed music.... and then Saturn had released Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold that gave some new moves, redone music, ability to play older versions of characters, and the ability to play as Cammy....
things like that
Visible hitboxes? Why yes I will take some thank you.
@KindofaBigDeal that too, the sound effects seem low to me as well. Especially in 3rd Strike.
This is great, hopefully they also fixed that bug where you can't view the online leaderboards.
cool, a free quality of life update ... thanks Capcom
@shonenjump86 I still wish they would have added in the balance changes that later versions of games had...and of course Alpha 2 Gold and Alpha 3 Upper.
@Pally356 those would have been nice to have. Cammy was in Gold.
As someone who has never been able to enjoy Puzzle Fighter, this patch is truly a gift from above. Thanks to catering to colour blind players Capcom!
@CharlieGirl Amen! I used to challenge friends to Puzzle Fighter in the arcade almost as a joke, because they knew I couldn’t differentiate between half the tiles and would occasionally just win by dumb luck…
(Also, as much as I love Sonic Mania, nuts to that Mean Bean Machine boss fight for not throwing me a bone with this nonsense…)
I hope it’s fixed the difficulty not adjusting in hyper sf2. Looking at the patch notes it should but why add it to the ex portion? And they censored Hondas stage.
Still wish they'd release this as a physical edition in Europe, not least to differentiate it from the Capcom 2nd Arcade Stadium, which it overlaps with significantly in terms of games.
Selectable Gem levels in Pocket Fighter's training mode THANK GOD.
