It is a shame that they're struggling with the chip shortage. Switch by all accounts has been amazing for Nintendo. I'm not sure if as some have said here that Switch will beat Wii during this Quarter. We'll have to wait and see but Nintendo could honestly keep Switch going for another 2/3 years and then move on. The amount of money they've made from this console must be a rediculous amount. Add to that Mario kart 8 Deluxe becoming the best selling in the Mario kart series and being a port, they're rolling in their money. This is also the reason they recovered from the Wii U after that spectacular bomb. They have the cash to survive these things.

@Fath it reminds me of a much uglier Wii U gamepad.

Considering sales of the hybrid model were still up over the same period last year, it's clear that Animal Crossing was the main driver of the Lite Model. I'm sure the OLED model we'll help offset some of those sales.

There has been far too much talk of a switch pro, of sorts the last few months, and especially in the last week for it to be fake. How anyone can seriously still think it's fake is being me.

To here are only two.things that really annoy me about apex on Switch. The voice chat doesn't work at all. Every word gets interrupted two or three times. It's broken!
And as for Cross Play, the switch crashes every few games 🤷🏻‍♂️ aside from that, it's pretty decent.

I have it. Looks great docked, although, like said already, there are a couple frame rate issues now and again. Blurry in handheld, but with the kinda game it is, it's passable.

@westman98 They could be correct though. They were bang on with the digital sales for Animal Crossing in its launch month.

I barely use mine handheld. I think when I first got my Switch at that point I used to take it to work, play it on the couch in handheld mode but I feel like that novelty wore off and now handheld is reserved for games that need a d-pad like Tetris.

I traded my standard switch for a ps4 in early 2019 and traded that for a Switch Lite when Animal Crossing came out and not having an option to play on TV really annoyed me so I traded that in again towards the newer model Switch and I barely play that handheld.

It's not surprising though. Out of the whole top 20 only two other games aside from Nintendo titles are on Switch, those being PGA Tour and Mortal Kombat 11. I suspect that if Nintendo were to release Digital sales Data for their games to NPD, the top 10 NPD would look very similar to Nintendo's top 10.

@Scottwood101 I had an OG switch when it came out and the eshop was fine then, but I sold it last year. I got a switch lite about two months ago and holy Jesus, it's awful now. What happened?

Before, it gave top 30 with sales and weekly hardware sales too.

For the price I think this could be worth it. Thus would have been a good save for a Direct though. Honestly.

V rally's driving experience was sub par. I didn't even wanna play the game after a couple of races. V rally 64 it was not 😂😂

Now WRC8 looks amazing!

Epic need to bring back screen recording and find another work around for the slowdown in gameplay because that did fix the issues we were all having but now this is a thing. I don't usually do too bad though to be honest. Usually top 10 with 4 or 5 kills on solo.

I think this looks like it could be great, honestly.

The Switch is perfect imo.

The easiest and best thing they could do is keep releasing a new Switch SKU around the time a new generation launches to keep up somewhat in parity with the Stronger consoles.

This is Nintendo though and I doubt it will

@PrincessBowsette Power isn't everything, you are correct but at one point they were the industry leader and always on the forefront of bringing the best possible graphics to go with their games. Those consoles eventually started selling less every generation but the power was not the reason that things started to fall apart. Nintendo consistently made mistakes that harmed their Consoles selling potential and drive 3rd parties away due to development costs, (cartridge for N64, mini discs for gamecube) and this led them to the Wii which arguable became more than a gaming machine and more of a lifestyle companion.

The Switch with its at least comparable power has proven that Nintendo can compete even while doing their own thing but I think they should try and push the graphical boundaries again unless the industry really pushes for streaming and even then they'll still need a powerful machine to be able to compete.

@Anti-Matter what about if the industry adopts streaming and moves away from physical completely?

@Boxmonkey just look at all those games that they moving to the Switch from the Wii U.

What Nintendo should do is go all in on power for the next generation. One Last Time at least. Do It all properly this time. Power, no gimmicks, proper controller, online service & Discs if they are still around. After the Switch they are in a prime position to at least try it and if it doesn't work then just go back to doing stuff like they are now.

I will be getting this at some point and I think it's clear that the Developer has went through the whole of the first game and made the second one an improvement in every aspect.

All I really want though is an F1 game please!

@waluigifan1 Arms & 12 Switch didn't harm Switch sales last year though. As for Mario Tennis, it's doing great. Clearly not the correct reason.

I guess I'll just get my joy con grip out then cause I am not playing with one joy con lol.

@oji dude, considering the majority of the good games from Wii U are now on Switch you might as well pack it up, buy an extra dock if you don't play on that TV. Turning Switch on and opening youtube will probably be faster than on Wii U for one.

@Monkeido I doubt they'd ship the game with those graphics. That there is clearly a stream pop in issue and we seen a much better looking version in a earlier build.

I mean you saw the rest of the trailer and that was the only part that looked unacceptable.

@Tsusasi It's hardly greed when the IP being used are owned by another company. Cosplay is one thing but another company making money off Nintendo without Nintendo getting any of that money for something that they own is against the law.

It would be good if they brought this on board. The best thing they could do at this point is to lock it behind the paywall.

This technically a knock off of Simcity since that game was the first one.

I will also day that this port us fine. It runs even worse on my PC LOL.

@abe_hikura This trailer was fantastic. I honestly couldn't imagine Nintendo letting these sorts of ads play advertising their games about 10 years ago.

Game Dev Story is one of the best mobile games out there. If it's successful on Switch they should make a sequel.

I agree. I did have some really bad lag and texture loading lag for like a day but it's cleared up. The only issue I did have was being unable to play with friends until I read that changing my switch username would fix that.

@aiden0309 I've had this problem since the last update which I finally fixed yesterday. Remove any special characters on your username on Your profile on Switch's. (not your epic games account but your actual switch profile).

It better have queues or else. I am excited for this and I'm assuming the it's out next month!

As for the commenter that said this is a straight port from the mobile version. It's much more. Rode cams, in depth management etc...

@Mark-number-12 maybe that's why it costs $60 and they are using a bigger cart. How big is the game file for everything included on pc?

@Yhdekskymmenen you know you can usually turn them off. You get a choice lol. For instance I only use motion controls in Splatoon because that game has the best implementation of motion controls in any game over ever played and it just doesn't compare on any other game.

I understand why the price is different and imo for a remaster it's still reasonable for what's on offer. After playing Lego City Undercover which I loved I'll give this a bash when it comes out!

@Mogster The Switch doesn't need saving imo. We've seen for instance that The Switch is still doing far better in its second year than Wii U was in its first year. There is nothing to worry about yet and even then I don't see anything changing soon. The Switch still has a lot going for it so I wouldn't be concerned.

@Nunya my Switch console has a chip out of it in the same spot and a crack from the chip to the front where the screen meets the plastic. I haven't done anything for it to have happened so it's not that unbelievable. It also has the cracks along the vents.

My back plate cracked so I replaced it. I thought I had cracked it myself but it seems that this surely was because of the issue others are experiencing.

I've been hyped for this since E3 last year and Fox has made me even more hyped.
