So now we’re promoting shovelware? The Switch really needs a new powerful upgrade and some higher quality of games.

It was above average for an “Indy Direct”, imho, the highlights were Axiom Verge 2, Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, Bomb Rush Cyberpunk and Metal Slug Tactics. The rest I didn’t care for at all.

At the end I busted asked them “please, please...stick with turn-based battles”.

I am hoping that they highlight a real gem coming up which has major Zelda feels: “Baldo”.

It would also be nice if Jupiter used the touch screen for filling in Picross on Switch as well.

Now they just need to work on stocking issues for Zelda & Loftwing Amiibo

Having an opinion on a website-one in which we’re both able to freely state and discuss out opinions even talk of God (or not) isn’t doing that at all. Scalpers are going to burned on this one. Sure they might make a little profit-but I think more than a few aren’t going to make more than $20 on this.

That’s exactly what I intend to do. Further I don’t think this thing will sell well. I don’t really get the sub-market it’s for: the hardcore fans aren’t digging it because lack of processing power and enhanced performance that would bring to old and new games-and I can’t see families buying it either when many will probably be budget conscious going into the Holidays this year because we’re still coming out of a recession-and this new model is basically $50 for a new OLED screen not even functionally different from the base model in docked mode for family multiplayer games.

@FragRed yeah sure-and the regular (red box) Switch will probably be phased out in a year or so for this as the “base” model, but as for hard core fans, the vast majority of us probably aren’t upgrading. (Nintendo is probably expecting that we are-but their greed is going to come back to bite them this time)..

@NintendoByNature they probably figured that “all press is good press”. The fact that we’re talking about the game and more people ~are~ looking it up probably got them at least 10% more sales than they normally would-but it’s just extremely annoying b/c it screws up what should be a fun (yet unscientific) poll of popular games. I REALLY hope that other developers don’t do ~this~ novel form of marketing again b/c it could really pss off Nintendo fans such as us (as well as the admins) of NintendoLife.

I don’t think that Arcade Space Shooter 2 in 1 has 60% of the audience on this site. Poll has probably been slammed by the creators of this game and their Twitter followers.

@Darknilious personally I (always) predict an Advance Wars reveal at LITERALLY every Nintendo Direct, but I’m always disappointed: NOT THIS TIME! I’m with ya!

I really hope this leads to a new game in the series as well.

My only question is: Will the Design Map feature have online capabilities-to upload our creations to be downloaded and used in these matches??

@mazzel no I don’t, but that doesn’t preclude me from wanting ~good~ quality new games on Switch as opposed to trash.

When 90% (of the known) Switch games are shovelware with just a few hidden gems and major releases in there..sigh (I just hope Nintendo’s lackluster first part of 2021 was due to COVID last year).

If Nintendo isn’t going to make a new Advance Wars can someone at least please do it in this game?
