@Wexter True, but my point is that many large corporations (as well as some of the commenters here) want you to believe that even making private backups is illegal, and a form of theft.

Luckily, we know better, and I am here to disprove the notions that piracy = theft, ROM hacks = piracy, emulators = piracy, etc.

@HeeHo Piracy is copying. Copying does not take the original from the owners possession. Therefore, piracy/copying is not theft.

Luckily, a VPN can still be used to bypass these restrictions, so this ruling will do little to stop piracy. Thank you for advertising those sites! I have added them to the "Hacks and Cracks" folder in my Chrome bookmarks on my Google account.

I am also proud of the many commenters fighting back against the "piracy is theft" crowd. I guess we cannot name names, but those trolls must understand that they will not be let off so easy by us!

My main concern was waiting many years for CFW, but with the browser exploits being released weeks after launch, and the bootrom being dumped 7 months after launch, those concerns were quickly alleviated, and convinced me to buy one in late 2018.

Back on topic, I feel sorry for anyone who spent money on games that they can no longer access. I have experienced that firsthand, and that is exactly why piracy can be morally justified. Why can't they just let people keep those Wii games after buying them?

Or how about some of the comments on the recent diversity and political correctness articles? Not everyone on NintendoLife is "upbeat and positive" from my experience...

I am so excited for this! I installed Samus Returns on my CFW 3DS shortly after it was dumped, and got 100% on each difficulty. It was so good, that I did not want to stop playing! I am sure Dread will be just as enjoyable on my CFW Switch once it is dumped...

I will just use my N2Elite to get these improvments for free (which they should have been in the first place).
