Star Fox Command is my favorite as I preferred the open skirmishes to the on-rails play of Star Fox 64. I also enjoyed the branching paths and the stories that were told through out the game in comparison. Star Fox Zero is the only other Star Fox game I've "played," and by that I mean I had a very brief experience not clicking with the controls. I might give that game another go someday. Overall, not too into Star Fox.
@BLD Generally, Federation Force has more enemies active in the player's vicinity than any other Prime game. Since it has lock-on, Federation Force's combat will be easier to grasp than Hunters, but I definitely rate the overall difficulty higher than Hunters and the Prime Trilogy. I partially agree with you on the bosses.
A player is more likely to get hit by one of those bosses in the Trilogy due to them having more complex attack patterns; however, taking damage in the Prime Trilogy is not as significant as taking damage in Federation Force. None of the final bosses do anywhere near as much to a player relative to total energy compared to what Samus can do if a player isn't able to avoid her (more so outside of her Boost Ball and Bombs, when her movement is a bit less predictable). That's not including how spent a player could be on their equipment when they go into the Samus fight after dealing with the Space Pirate waves beforehand. Enemies and bosses don't drop energy for the player in Federation Force, they do in the other games as well as the player having a much bigger cushion of energy to work with.
Every Prime Trilogy game has a ceiling of 1499 energy, Federation Force has 99. Hunters has a ceiling of 799, second lowest of the first person Prime games but still significantly higher than what's offered in Federation Force. I think a player is much more likely to die in Federation Force, regardless if they're a veteran of the series, new to Metroid, good at FPS or bad at FPS.
@BLD How is Federation Force's single player the easiest of the Prime Series? If I'm reading @Moistnado correctly, saying they're not good at FPS games, Federation Force and Hunters would be the hardest (Prime 2 would be the hardest to navigate).
"largely because it had almost nothing to do with previous Metroid games"
This isn't true. Nearly Federation Force's whole plot revolves around the Space Pirates' desire to find and utilize the next great power following the eradication of Phazon at Prime 3's conclusion, and the basis for Operation Golem was for the Federation to be prepared in the case that the Space Pirates ever became that lethal again. It essentially further validated the influence and power of Phazon through the Prime Trilogy, arguably more so than any Prime Trilogy game individually other than Prime 3. Aside from Prime 3, there are connections that can be drawn to Hunters, Metroid II/Samus Returns and Metroid Fusion. They are not as obvious as the connection with Prime 3, but they are there.
I think Nintendo's best game line-up is their Nintendo DS line-up, but I think Super Mario never fully reached its potential on the system. There should have been an original 3D Mario game that incorporated more of the hardware's features and I think NSMB deserved a DS sequel release around the same time as Phantom Hourglass's sequel, Spirit Tracks.
I picked Golf for the worst in both as I just don't find the sport that interesting. I will say though that I think I enjoyed Wii Sports Golf more than I did a Mario Golf game at any point. Bowling to me is the best of the original 5, and Boxing got a lot of hate, it's my second favorite. Wii Sports Resort...the best to me is the Island Flyover, which basically became a 3DS launch game in the form of Pilotwings Resort (I'm a fan of that game too). It's a very enjoyable, laid back experience. I figured Swordplay would get the most votes, but when Swordplay gets a single game made from it let me know. I cannot be too down on that sport though, as I would've gone for it as a runner up to Island Flyover.
I don't think the next generation system launches until after the Mario Kart 8 DLX Booster Course Pass has finished, so not until early 2024 at the earliest. That would mean that in order for BOTW2 to launch alongside the next gen, it would need to be delayed another full year upon its current delay of Spring 2023. At that point, I won't buy the game, as it will be obvious what Nintendo is doing if another delay occurs and there isn't a new system next year.
I don't want to see a new console next year because it seems premature. 6 years of Switch from Nintendo, if everything remaining holds for them this year...is maybe 60% of what they've outputted in previous generations when they had both a handheld and console market. I also don't want any sign of the Switch's successor being a repeat of the Switch's release schedule. I don't want to see a stellar first year and then wait nearly half a decade before another year even comes close.
I don't understand why Breath of the Wild 2 needs to be the launch game for new hardware. How about games we haven't seen, let alone one we've seen for multiple years? Launch with Mario Kart 9 or the next brand new 3D Mario game...Launch with a new top down Zelda and new 2D Mario...Metroid Prime 4? I mean, there are a number of franchises that should have their next entry lined up either for Switch or the next system. They don't need to delay BOTW2 into oblivion and make it a $400+ experience at its best.
If this is strictly about Nintendo, it's the DS/Wii era by a decent margin. The Nintendo DS has the best Nintendo library of any system they've made, and its companion console that generation, the Wii, arguably may have the second. This generation is also the peak of Nintendo creativity in terms of how consistent their creativity was on display in their games. I mean it has got Metroid Prime Hunters, New Super Mario Bros., Nintendogs, Electroplankton, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Bowser's Inside Story, Partners In Time, Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol, Custom Robo Arena, Meteos, Tetris DS, Animal Crossing: Wild World, WarioWare: Touched!, Mario Kart DS, Mario Party DS, Picross 3D. Metroid Prime Pinball, Elite Beat Agents, Rhythm Heaven, Kirby Mass Attack, Magical Starsign, Aura-Aura Climber, the Art Style puzzle games, Star Fox Command, X-Scape, Super Mario 64 DS, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn...The Nintendo DS hasn't been touched since in my opinion.
With the Wii, there's Xenoblade Chronicles (one of the most impressive games ever associated to Nintendo), Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Metroid Prime 3, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Metroid: Other M, Mario Kart Wii, Kirby's Epic Yarn, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Wii Fit, Donkey Kong Country Returns...Not as many great games as the Nintendo DS, but still a very enjoyable, creative and memorable line of experiences from the Wii.
@abduz Dread Rush requires a new player to beat Metroid Dread 3 times, two of which have to be on Hard and Dread mode difficulties. That’s asinine design. Thankfully I’m not a new player, but still have to beat the game on Hard and Dread to play the Dread Rush mode.
So to unlock Dread Rush, I will need to beat Hard Mode and then Dread Mode. Great design.......I wish these barriers were gone and the updates allowed players to play the game as they want. I just don't care much to play the game through Hard Mode. Otherwise, I think the other two boss rush modes will bring plenty of replay value into the game. Looking forward to getting into them soon.
@Dezzy70 3D Mario, 2D Mario, Mario Kart, top down Zelda...All of those are either due for a new entry or will be in 2023. Mario Kart is the only IP I'm convinced is being saved to launch whatever system is to follow up the Switch generation, especially with the Booster Course Pass schedule through 2023. I think if the next new 3D Mario game isn't shown off at E3, it will be a launch year title for the next generation if not a launch game. I think the final Nintendo Direct for this year will be a good indicator of if the next generation is coming in 2024.
@HalBailman There being precedent doesn't change anything. I would still be saving hundreds of dollars if the precedent of Twilight Princess's and BOTW's releases are followed for BOTW2 and a new generation. It made more sense for Breath of the Wild to be cross generation, because the Wii U wasn't a massive hit and steadily dropped whatever momentum it had through 2016 into the Switch's early 2017 launch. Same can be said regarding Twilight Princess bridging the Gamecube and Wii. Skyward Sword, A Link Between Worlds, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks...none were cross generation releases and all are on systems that were a massive success. That's the Switch, so hopefully BOTW2 remains on the Switch.
I'll be skipping this game if it is being delayed to be a launch title for a Switch successor. Beyond the external chatter associated to the Switch and its games, I don't have much issue with a game going from Late 2022 to Early 2023. This happened with New Horizons back in 2019-2020. Don't be on new hardware, and this should be an experience I can thoroughly enjoy early next year.
Just reading the first handful of comments brings up an issue I take with the delay. No new hardware should be involved to have the best experience with this game. But since the community spoke a delay into existence, I wouldn't be shocked by something crappy like that occurring to begin next year. Also, can we start calling the Zelda team lazy or stop calling efforts in Pokemon and Mario Kart lazy? Before this game releases, Game Freak will have Let's Go, Sword/Shield, Arceus and Scarlet/Violet out on the Switch. The team working on the Booster Course Pass will have 24 tracks brought over to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, more than enough to be a Mario Kart game in itself. There should be more credit given to those actually putting content on the Switch.
I own 3 3DS systems, one of which is a 2DS. The Nintendo 2DS is my favorite system hardware-wise. Folders, themes, 3DS library, b/c with DS library, VC (New 3DS systems can have SNES games)...It's a very solid gaming experience all in one place. I did use the 3D slider, but over time it became more of a curiosity than a feature I would consider essential. Nintendo DS era is my favorite in terms of software, 3DS era in terms of hardware. It still gets more attention than my Nintendo Switch.
@HalBailman Versus mode is where you can select basically whatever track you want to race on against the computer and choose from a variety of options like wins, races, computer difficulty, etc. In Mario Kart 7, that single player experience is absent. Its exclusion is baffling considering DS, Wii and 8/8 Deluxe all have that experience.
It's a great game, probably my favorite Gamecube game, but Double Dash!! is at best fourth for me personally. It's not on the podium. Mario Kart DS is my favorite Mario Kart with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe closing that gap just through sheer content that will come from the Booster Course Pass. After those two, it's Mario Kart 7, because it would be my favorite Mario Kart game if not for the biggest screw up in Mario Kart history. It just had to be the Mario Kart with the best track selection that would have Versus removed.
The only timeline I really follow is Metroid's. Zelda's timeline feels like it was forced and comes across convoluted. I didn't even know a Kirby timeline was a subject being considered before now. I feel most Nintendo IPs don't need an overall timeline, but do enjoy seeing arcs such as the Fawful arc of the first three Mario & Luigi games.
I was very excited for KI:U when it first came out. I saw that it had stylus controls and went into the game thinking I would be right at home after spending so much time with Metroid Prime Hunters from the NDS generation. Unfortunately, that was the wrong mind set to have, as the actual mechanics between the two games are very different. Aiming in the ground sections is more involved than that. It involves sliding and tapping to target. I like to compare it to air hockey and having to regularly stop the puck. I haven't gone back to the game since I beat the story mode, but I feel that KI:U nailed everything aside from controls. I did feel the game was worth wrestling with the controls for, and I have thought about returning to the game now that I've had plenty of time to accept what the controls are. I think it's an underrated game and do think it's the most deserving 3DS game for Switch remaster treatment.
I would like to see an ARMS 2, but would be fine with DLC. I don't think roster expansion does any good. I think the focus should be on adding more unique modes to experience online and offline. For instance, have Dr. Coyle be the creator of a game that is used for her further research on ARMS and as a test for new ARMS she creates and more experiments like Hedlok. It could be a lite RPG experience that would make sense in-universe and create further world building. Content like that is what I would want to see if ARMS gets attention again. It may not be right for DLC, a compilation of different sub-games (like a Nintendo Land or Game & Wario) is what I would want from a sequel though. All the events would be unique to the characters currently in the roster and expand on the role of ARMS as entertainment including and beyond the ARMS Grand Prix.
I haven't really played Tour, so I'm excited for those tracks to make their debut in the game. I went with Paris Promenade. Otherwise, I would have went with Shroom Ridge over Coconut Mall, as it comes from that fantastic MKDS Flower Cup.
@westman98 It is still one game. I do not think Breath of the Wild offers as much value as that collection of games that were released on the Wii and DS. You could make the argument that Breath of the Wild's scope, budget and (maybe?) manpower are more than all previous Zelda adventures combined, but does that translate into an experience equal to the experience you can get from an entire series of games?
Monolift Soft has Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Torna and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. All are exclusive to the Switch. Game Freak has Sword/Shield, Legends: Arceus and now Scarlet/Violet. All are exclusive.
@Troll_Decimator No I didn't. It's a remake of GB game, but considering the technical leap from GB to Switch...maybe it's worth considering as an original entry. I don't know how different the two iterations are personally, as I haven't played either. If you've played them both, do you think there's enough of a difference to look at Link's Awakening on Switch as an original adventure? I do hope we hear from Greezo again soon as well.
@Troll_Decimator With the Switch being the successor to both the 3DS and Wii U, that's what I was expecting from the Zelda team and all teams under Nintendo. There would be that game like Breath of the Wild 2 which could take nearly the entire generation to develop, but along the way an original, HD top down Zelda game or two gets released. Mario has had issues too, but I'm giving them some credit for Bowser's Fury.
@westman98 I don't know what games took more effort. I'm sure it was an accomplishment for the team to provide a Wind Waker style experience, which had been on superior technology with the Gamecube, twice with Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks on DS hardware. I do know that Breath of the Wild's game size, if managed under the limitations of the Nintendo DS, would've been enough data for a library of quality DS experiences in itself. I'm not expecting that kind of value from any single Switch game, because they would never remotely get there. I did expect to see more original Zelda adventures on the Switch though. Releasing one, original Zelda adventure developed completely for the Switch isn't that impressive of an output.
Game Freak actually has production that seems to understand that Nintendo's previous two markets, 3DS and Wii U, has become one under the Nintendo Switch generation. The only other developer that has been cooking with their IP assignment is Monolith Soft with Xenoblade. These two developers actually understand that the Switch's worth comes from its games. The more of them, the better. I don't want them to turn into the Zelda team, no new Zelda adventure game in 5 years (they've fallen off since the Wii/DS era), or gasp Retro Studios, no new game to their name since 2014.
Very excited, but undecided on which version to get obviously as we don't yet know legendaries or exclusives. I would like to get Violet though based on its logo design. My starter will likely be Quaxly unless the final evolution is a mess. Got Sobble in Sword and Oshawott in Arceus, so might as well keep the water streak going.
I want to have the Min Min amiibo to add to the few ARMS related shirts and pins I have. ARMS is another game I wish had much more support in terms of merchandise.
Is there an issue downloading the digital version for the 3DS game that includes the Mario iteration? I saw the trailer for this release and saw the 3DS game being mentioned in the Youtube comments section. I decided to jump on that, but canceled my Amazon order after seeing comments here regarding issues with the physical release. I now bought the game digitally on my N3DS XL and have ran into a few errors. Maybe my N3DS XL needs to have more charge to download the software, I don't know, but with the eShop closure imminent I hope I can get that game on my system.
@Nintendude78 Kirby, Advance Wars and Switch Sports are likely going to be released before the next general Nintendo Direct. Fill those gaps in with BOTW2, Bayonetta 3 and Metroid news for the next presentation, especially if it's not until June. There will be plenty of room based on the currently known 2022 schedule. If Retro Studios and Nintendo don't want expectations, they're developing the wrong game. Nobody external asked for them to update their Twitter banner with something Metroid Prime 4 related for the first time in the 3+ years they've been working on the game. What's the expectation if it's not that the game is going to have a footage reveal soon?
@Spider-Kev I want to see the scrapped version to see the direction that was turned down, but Nintendo would never show that. My theory is that Prime 4 would've been done before Dread had it went forward as planned and not been restarted in early 2019. In an alternate reality, 2020 would've had Prime 4 then Dread for 2021. But yeah, as someone who is usually more a fan of the Metroid games that are non-traditional, I'm curious where Prime 4 was heading before the game was handed to Retro Studios. I do not think Retro Studios is reinventing the wheel with Prime 4. I'm expecting a relatively safe, traditional Metroid experience.
Due to the banner update on Twitter, I'm expecting to see Prime 4 footage this year (likely around when E3 would've been in June) and be playing the game next year. It'll be one of 2023's big hitters from Nintendo.
@Joeynator3000 The Prime Series has already continued beyond Corruption and 3 of the 6 Prime games don't have Dark Samus. 2 of the 6 don't feature any form of Metroid Prime. "Metroid Prime" has been used by Nintendo since 2006 as indication of a first person Metroid game experience, regardless of whether Metroid Prime/Dark Samus the character is present.
There should be Metroid Prime related news for June now. I just don't know if it's exclusively Metroid Prime 4. I still believe they'll bring Metroid Prime Trilogy first this year then Prime 4 next, unless they go right into Prime 4 in June's Direct and release Prime 4 later this year (following Dread's reveal to release cycle last year).
I imagine all Tour exclusive tracks will come over to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with this DLC. As for what other tracks could be added, does anyone not want Waluigi Pinball added? I'm also very happy to see both Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu listed. I would like to see them both again too. Delfino Square, Wuhu Loop, Koopa Cape and Maka Wuhu all in one DLC cup?
I still think ARMS is the best new game from Nintendo during the Switch era, with Ring Fit Adventure right there behind. I want the Min Min amiibo just for collection purposes. I might get Pyra and Mythra...not sure, but they're the only other amiibo I'm interested in from the Smash series yet to be released.
No less than an A. Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Nintendo Switch Sports, Mario Strikers: Battle League, Mario Kart 8 DLX DLC that effectively doubles the track count and then Kirby is looking like the best 3D platforming game on the Switch from Nintendo. The line-up for the Direct was so good I didn't even think of BOTW2 and Bayonetta 3 being no shows until I read comments after.
My biggest disappointment in the Direct goes to Splatoon 3, only because it killed some of the vibe after the reveal of the new Strikers game. Unless they add computers so that the multiplayer modes can be enjoyed without needing others, I don't know if Splatoon as a series will ever hook me. I didn't play Splatoon 2 that long before going back to ARMS, Mario Kart and BOTW.
ARMS 2 is what I would want to see the most. Of the available options for wild prediction, I would really want to have the Metroid Prime Trilogy HD be a release for the Switch. If Metroid Prime is being fully remade, that would be fine, but no remaster should be discussed unless it's the full Trilogy. I don't know if they announce anything Metroid this soon after Metroid Dread though.
If not for Legends: Arceus, Pokemon Sword would be my favorite 3D Pokemon game outright, so well deserved that the games hit that level of success. The main games on Switch in general have been the best experiences I've had with the franchise since Generation 5.
I've got Metroid Dread as my 4th favorite in the Metroid Series behind Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Super Metroid, and just above Metroid: Other M. I'm glad that the game is performing well commercially relative to the series, and do want Metroid Prime dethroned. Dread is likely going to share the go to traditional Metroid experience role with Super Metroid for me going forward.
I cannot speak on what's going on with indies. I haven't played Hollow Knight, Axiom Verge or the Ori games, but with regard to specifically Metroid, I think Super Metroid is the only Metroid game that is better at implementing the "Metroidvania" formula than Dread. They're both so good at the formula that for a Metroid game to be better, they're better off not following the formula to a tee. Metroid has been 50/50 in that regard for me. I consider both Hunters and Federation Force better games, but Other M and Pinball as worse. I enjoy both Other M and Prime Pinball, but they to me are not better as games in what they do than the best implementations of the traditional Metroid formula.
I'm getting more and more curious about the version of Prime 4 that got canned before Retro took over. That version seemed like it was bound for a late 2019 or 2020 release. Nothing since the restart update has given me much confidence in Prime 4. I have high expectations for this game too since it should have Sylux returning in a major role and will be the events following Federation Force, which is my second favorite game in the series. Most expectations I've had for a new Metroid game, and I don't think they'll be met. The possibility that I may have to get a brand new system just to play Prime 4 at its best also isn't to the game's benefit. Prime 4 will either be well worth it or the most disappointing game in the series.
I expect to see Prime 4 in action some time this year, and I feel the game will be treated just as Metroid Dread. There won't be much separation between first gameplay footage and release date. Depending on when this year Prime 4 is shown impacts my release expectation. If it's June (usual E3 time frame) or earlier, then Prime 4 releases later this year. If it's the last Direct of the year, I'm thinking no later than late Summer 2023. Prime 4 won't be a holiday game.
I don't want to entertain beyond 2023 as that comes with more expectations that I just don't feel the game will meet for me personally, and I'm not too confident in this game already as someone who thoroughly enjoyed Federation Force. I haven't been starved for a new Prime game since Corruption, being that won't be good enough.
Was there not a trailer last year for the game that said 2022 at the end? First Look was 2019, and then the next time we saw the game was last year's trailer. If they don't think 2022 is possible, why even put forward a window going into the next year. I'm at 95% certainty, 5% for Nintendo delaying into 2023. If that does happen, I'm expecting the game no later than March 2023 and expecting a major hitter, like a Mario Kart 9, to appear in its place for this year.
Schwedler created what it is one of my favorite soundtracks with Metroid Prime Hunters, and it is among the numerous reasons why that is my favorite game all time. Not enough credit is given to how well the music in that game sets the atmosphere and tone of that game's narrative in each environment. I'm glad he persevered through doubt and stress to deliver that aspect of the game, and I hope he continues to do well in the future.
I doubt it'll happen, but a Splatoon game would easily be among the Switch's best if it added in local multiplayer and bots. I'm not very interested in playing Nintendo games online.

Why is there no mention that the progression to Pro level has been removed? The game is fun, but too many glaring omissions.

Re: Metroid Dread's Second Free Update Is Now Available, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Delay Sees Nintendo Shares Slump 6%
@Dezzy70 3D Mario, 2D Mario, Mario Kart, top down Zelda...All of those are either due for a new entry or will be in 2023. Mario Kart is the only IP I'm convinced is being saved to launch whatever system is to follow up the Switch generation, especially with the Booster Course Pass schedule through 2023. I think if the next new 3D Mario game isn't shown off at E3, it will be a launch year title for the next generation if not a launch game. I think the final Nintendo Direct for this year will be a good indicator of if the next generation is coming in 2024.
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Delayed To Spring 2023
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Delayed To Spring 2023
I'll be skipping this game if it is being delayed to be a launch title for a Switch successor. Beyond the external chatter associated to the Switch and its games, I don't have much issue with a game going from Late 2022 to Early 2023. This happened with New Horizons back in 2019-2020. Don't be on new hardware, and this should be an experience I can thoroughly enjoy early next year.
Re: Poll: C'mon Then, Did You Predict The Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Delay?
Re: Talking Point: 3DS Is 11 Years Old, And Our Eyes Still Feel Strange
I own 3 3DS systems, one of which is a 2DS. The Nintendo 2DS is my favorite system hardware-wise. Folders, themes, 3DS library, b/c with DS library, VC (New 3DS systems can have SNES games)...It's a very solid gaming experience all in one place. I did use the 3D slider, but over time it became more of a curiosity than a feature I would consider essential. Nintendo DS era is my favorite in terms of software, 3DS era in terms of hardware. It still gets more attention than my Nintendo Switch.
Re: Feature: Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Is The Best Mario Kart, Right? Let's Find Out
@HalBailman Versus mode is where you can select basically whatever track you want to race on against the computer and choose from a variety of options like wins, races, computer difficulty, etc. In Mario Kart 7, that single player experience is absent. Its exclusion is baffling considering DS, Wii and 8/8 Deluxe all have that experience.
Re: Feature: Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Is The Best Mario Kart, Right? Let's Find Out
It's a great game, probably my favorite Gamecube game, but Double Dash!! is at best fourth for me personally.
Re: There's "No Clear Timeline" For Kirby's Game Stories, According To HAL Laboratory's General Director
Re: Feature: Kid Icarus: Uprising, Nintendo's Most Daring Release Of The Last Decade
Re: Talking Point: Which Other 'Old' Switch Games Would You Like To See Get New DLC?
Re: What Course Are You Most Excited About In The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 1 DLC? Nintendo Wants To Know
I haven't really played Tour, so I'm excited for those tracks to make their debut in the game. I went with Paris Promenade. Otherwise, I would have went with Shroom Ridge over Coconut Mall, as it comes from that fantastic MKDS Flower Cup.
Re: Video: Three Pokémon Games In One Year? Game Freak, Slow Down
@westman98 It is still one game.
Re: Video: Three Pokémon Games In One Year? Game Freak, Slow Down
@Troll_Decimator With the Switch being the successor to both the 3DS and Wii U, that's what I was expecting from the Zelda team and all teams under Nintendo. There would be that game like Breath of the Wild 2 which could take nearly the entire generation to develop, but along the way an original, HD top down Zelda game or two gets released. Mario has had issues too, but I'm giving them some credit for Bowser's Fury.
Re: Video: Three Pokémon Games In One Year? Game Freak, Slow Down
@westman98 I don't know what games took more effort.
Re: Video: Three Pokémon Games In One Year? Game Freak, Slow Down
Game Freak actually has production that seems to understand that Nintendo's previous two markets, 3DS and Wii U, has become one under the Nintendo Switch generation.
Re: Poll: Are You Excited About Pokémon Scarlet And Pokémon Violet?
Very excited, but undecided on which version to get obviously as we don't yet know legendaries or exclusives. I would like to get Violet though based on its logo design. My starter will likely be Quaxly unless the final evolution is a mess. Got Sobble in Sword and Oshawott in Arceus, so might as well keep the water streak going.
Re: Min Min Smash amiibo Arriving April 29th, Steve & Alex Minecraft amiibo Delayed
@kurtasbestos Not officially from Nintendo. I was buying off of TeePublic iirc and Etsy for the pins.
Re: Min Min Smash amiibo Arriving April 29th, Steve & Alex Minecraft amiibo Delayed
I want to have the Min Min amiibo to add to the few ARMS related shirts and pins I have. ARMS is another game I wish had much more support in terms of merchandise.
Re: Take A Look Inside The Tiny Apartment Of The Man Who Owes Nintendo $14 Million
The fine doesn't match the time. The government website for the FBI says that this crime can be punished up to 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/white-collar-crime/piracy-ip-theft/fbi-anti-piracy-warning-seal
I don't know how $14,500,000 was considered appropriate, and I don't know how that gets paid off with an honest living.
Re: Puzzle & Dragons Returns To Nintendo Switch This Week
Is there an issue downloading the digital version for the 3DS game that includes the Mario iteration? I saw the trailer for this release and saw the 3DS game being mentioned in the Youtube comments section. I decided to jump on that, but canceled my Amazon order after seeing comments here regarding issues with the physical release. I now bought the game digitally on my N3DS XL and have ran into a few errors. Maybe my N3DS XL needs to have more charge to download the software, I don't know, but with the eShop closure imminent I hope I can get that game on my system.
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Dev Retro Studios Is Advertising Job Openings On ArtStation
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Dev Retro Studios Is Advertising Job Openings On ArtStation
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Dev Retro Studios Is Advertising Job Openings On ArtStation
Due to the banner update on Twitter, I'm expecting to see Prime 4 footage this year (likely around when E3 would've been in June) and be playing the game next year. It'll be one of 2023's big hitters from Nintendo.
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Dev Retro Studios Updates Its Twitter Profile With A New Banner
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Dev Retro Studios Updates Its Twitter Profile With A New Banner
Re: Feature: 16 Tracks That Need To Be In The Mario Kart 8 DLC
I imagine all Tour exclusive tracks will come over to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with this DLC. As for what other tracks could be added, does anyone not want Waluigi Pinball added? I'm also very happy to see both Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu listed. I would like to see them both again too. Delfino Square, Wuhu Loop, Koopa Cape and Maka Wuhu all in one DLC cup?
Re: Min Min's Smash Bros. amiibo Could Be Arriving Soon By The Looks Of It
I still think ARMS is the best new game from Nintendo during the Switch era, with Ring Fit Adventure right there behind. I want the Min Min amiibo just for collection purposes. I might get Pyra and Mythra...not sure, but they're the only other amiibo I'm interested in from the Smash series yet to be released.
Re: Good Smile Company Announces Figma Samus Aran: Metroid Dread Version
I might get this if I can secure one. I would've preferred Raven Beak though.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2022 Nintendo Direct?
Re: Poll: What Are Your Hopes For The February Nintendo Direct?
ARMS 2 is what I would want to see the most. Of the available options for wild prediction, I would really want to have the Metroid Prime Trilogy HD be a release for the Switch. If Metroid Prime is being fully remade, that would be fine, but no remaster should be discussed unless it's the full Trilogy. I don't know if they announce anything Metroid this soon after Metroid Dread though.
Re: Sword & Shield Becomes Second Best-Selling Pokémon Game Of All Time
If not for Legends: Arceus, Pokemon Sword would be my favorite 3D Pokemon game outright, so well deserved that the games hit that level of success. The main games on Switch in general have been the best experiences I've had with the franchise since Generation 5.
Re: Metroid Dread Is About To Become The Best-Selling Game In The Series
I've got Metroid Dread as my 4th favorite in the Metroid Series behind Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Super Metroid, and just above Metroid: Other M. I'm glad that the game is performing well commercially relative to the series, and do want Metroid Prime dethroned. Dread is likely going to share the go to traditional Metroid experience role with Super Metroid for me going forward.
Re: Metroid Dread Producer Hopes It Showcased "Potential" And Inspires Metroidvania Devs
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Developer Retro Studios Is Seeking New Team Members
Re: It's Now Been Three Years Since Metroid Prime 4's Development Was Scrapped And Restarted
Re: Poll: So, Do You Think Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Will Actually Release In 2022?
Was there not a trailer last year for the game that said 2022 at the end? First Look was 2019, and then the next time we saw the game was last year's trailer. If they don't think 2022 is possible, why even put forward a window going into the next year. I'm at 95% certainty, 5% for Nintendo delaying into 2023. If that does happen, I'm expecting the game no later than March 2023 and expecting a major hitter, like a Mario Kart 9, to appear in its place for this year.
Re: Random: Metroid Prime Hunters Composer Reflects On The Stressful Times At Nintendo
Re: Poll: It's The Year Of Splatoon 3 - Are You Excited?
I doubt it'll happen, but a Splatoon game would easily be among the Switch's best if it added in local multiplayer and bots. I'm not very interested in playing Nintendo games online.
