Re: WWE 2K19 Is Officially Skipping Nintendo Switch, 2K Games Confirms

Hyrule

@PanurgeJr It is good that "this" game isn't coming to the Switch. They handled the first one extremely poorly to the point it was unplayable. This time it appears they haven't even bothered. Why should support be given to companies who can't be bothered to make decent Switch games. Numerous other third party studios have proven capable of making good switch games and deservedly are supported (Panic Button for example).

@WiltonRoots Preach, bro, preach. Armchair analysts pretty much sums them up.
I care about games coming, of which we have a truckload in the next 6 months. Unless you work at Nintendo and have insider knowledge its assnine to assume you know what is coming.
And much like last year, there will be plenty more surprises and reveals. Same thing happened last year at E3, people moaned oh nintendo didn't show anything, or didn't show enough. E3 has long been the least important Games show of the year. We had a direct after E3 last year that announced a bunch of games that weren't mentioned at E3 2017, yet the whole nintendoomed nonsense was regurgitated across the internet.

@MoonKnight7 "That's all well and good, but I think this stock drop has more to do with what's coming out before then, which isn't much at the moment." That's what you said, so which is it, the lack of games, lack of first party or lack of third party? We remain confused in your lack of clarity.

Too all those saying Smash won't sell units based on the Wii U. Wii U sales actually increased dramatically upon the release of Smash, but comparing the Wii U with approx 13million units sold over it's lifetime, with the Switch approx 18million units sold in 12months is ridiculous. There are probably a huge chunk of people who haven't bought a Switch simply because they were waiting for Smash to be released, and the release date during the holiday season is a smart move. Expect Smash/Switch bundles and promos and a big push, and a big increase in sales.

@1UP_MARIO
It's thinking like this that makes me just sigh. The amount of time spent on Smash yesterday clearly showing it's a new game. The level of detail they went into about the diminishing returns on dodging, the art style, the animation, the music, the stages, the changes in fighting style of staple characters like Link and Ganondorf, even down to the different voices. Yet it's still Smash Wii U to you.

Here's just a small (pun intended) list of games coming this year and a few for next year. Some were unannounced previously but little gems like Wasteland 2, Mario Party, DBZ Fighterz were a nice surprise in the direct. And yet there will be more announcements in the coming months, but you want everything shown at E3, when the industry has moved away from doing so.
And heaven forbid Nintendo showcase their biggest and most anticipated first party game and devote time to it. It's literally Day one and you are throwing your toys out of the pram.

You know what I can't with all these people moaning about the Direct. Nintendo literally said they will be focusing primarily on Smash and games releasing this year. So if something wasn't shown it's safe to say it's not being released this year.
It's like going to watch Jurassic Park, then complaining about there being too many dinosaurs shown. I literally cannot even.

Re: Wolfenstein II Switch File Size Revealed, And It's Much Bigger Than We Were Originally Told

Hyrule

@dres Accept the things you cannot change, and change the things you can. Your rant is both tired and pointless. If having to download extra for Wolf 2 is a deal breaker then so be it, but for the rest of us who it isn't, we will be enjoying the game. Some of us aren't blind to the shortcomings of some aspects of the Switch, the difference is we accept them, and don't let that stop us from enjoying the fun of gaming. After all isn't fun what it's supposed to be about.

Re: Soapbox: Let's Give Nintendo Switch Online A Chance Before We Throw It To The Wolves

Hyrule

I think people take the term "Soapbox" far too literally. Besides the usual trolls and suspects who don't ever have anything positive to say, people seem to either be disappointed or content about the details released so far. Who knows maybe Nintendo will release more details and/or features over the coming months. September is 4 months away and alot can evolve between now and then. If online is not for you that's fine, but I'd rather wait until I can try the actual service before breaking out the virtual torches and pitchforks.
