If the announcements and game trailers weren't already enough, The Pokémon Company has just uploaded a full recording of its 2018 Video Game Press Conference to YouTube. This full recap of the event includes English translations and lasts for a total of 45 minutes.
There are plenty of notable faces throughout including The Pokémon Company's president, Game Freak legend Junichi Masuda, Shinya Takahashi who makes an appearance on behalf of Nintendo and even a cameo from Niantic's CEO, John Hanke.
Watch the conference below, and let us know in the comments the announcement you’re most excited about.

^^Dude’s most excited bout first comment. I predict: Sums up the whole quality of this discussion, or any discussion online, about these announcements haha
I don't understand why people are upset. We are getting two spin offs and have had generation 8 confirmed for next year - which is more than anyone expected.
Pokemon Go update
New free to play game
Spin-off Pokemon Yellow remake-like game
Generation 8 next year
This is good news in my book.
@Heavyarms55
Likely with the look of the game. Think let go game looks beautiful ,and may even bring the pokemon go players. Plus the interaction between both games seem interesting
Pokémon free to play game is complete garbage. Will be picking up let’s go Pikachu , and of course gen 8 day 1
@Heavyarms55 Absolutely! That's the way I see it too.
I'm trying out the F2P game now. It's literally playing itself. Kinda eh but it's free so whatever. I don't see myself spending that much time with it.
"Let's Go" looks fun as a side game. No complaints here since it's been confirmed that the core main series game is still coming next year. If this was the next main series game I'd be a little concerned but as a side game it's the perfect place for them to experiment.
Let's Go really uses the Switch well! Smart move going for the Go player base. It should be huge.
@gbanuru 2. General Behaviour
a. Do not post - unless you have something useful to say; Only post when you have something meaningful to say or something that will contribute to the discussion.
That 2019 announcement really saved this, even if a 2020 release plan would have made me feel more confident. It makes me think they were expecting the backlash.
@Heavyarms55 People like to complain for almost everything... I see it just like you.
Today's announcements were good enough to me.
Two proper pokemon games on the Switch in the space of about a year. We are being spoilt rotten
The free game is a waste of time but the lets go pika/evee looks ok. I will never ever conenct Go to it but hopefully wont need to.
This just made my day. I’ve been a Pokémon fan forever and I love this. I’m also really excited about the game coming in 2019, but I assume they don’t have much to share on that at the moment.
I like this new free to play Pokémon on Switch, but I foresee some long grinds in the future since I never pay with these things; without the ability to game the system like in Pokémon Picross, this might take a really long time to level up my Pokémon or gain items...
Pretty exciting stuff here! Love the integration between Go and the Let's Go Switch games. Not sure if releasing 2 games simultaneously will work with a "home" console like they've gotten away with in the past from Game Boy up to 3DS, but we'll see I suppose. It's one thing that they were always "portable-priced" games so most people would buy both, but if they're now going to be full "console game" price only the hardcore will do that. Also nice they slipped in the fact they're also making a more traditional Pokemon RPG for the Switch in 2019 just to ease any doubts or negative backlash towards the Let's Go games. The Pokeball is kind of cool that it has an analog stick for navigation, a speaker of some sort, rumble, LED lighting etc. Again though only the real hardcore Pokemon fans will buy it.
