I've been surprised how much Ive used the portability factor. Used to want to just play on the TV, but many games work really well in portable mode and it allows me to play more often, such as when I'm watching sports on TV. Vertai games, like Xenoblade, I prefer on the big screen. It did not translate well for me in portable. Currently using portable mode to play the remastered Final Fantasy games. It's fantastic this way.
Great game. I enjoyed XC2 more, but it didn't have the impact the original did obviously. The original is why I bought a WiiU so I could play XCX. I did really enjoy that one as well. It's a great world to explore and put quite a few hours in just exploring. I will probably get this again on the Switch at some point
Had been considering Overwatch, but not anymore considery how Blizzard has acted banning a HK player for freedom of speech. Trash company that bows to China
I haven't played yet since the update, so I can't remark yet on the improvements. I love the game, but performance wise it's a real struggle on the Switch. Hope this update fixes things.
Need to have a sale on the Switch system or at least add a game or 2 on the sale. Also, NVIDIA has gamestream tech already and should have been included on the Switch. It would open up the Switch to a new market, the PC player that would like to play mobile or on the TV. Lost opportunity for Nintendo and NVIDIA.
Xenoblade 2 is fantastic. I've just started the Torna expansion and I am loving it as well. So much story in these games. After Torna I will go back and play Xeno 2 thru again
Good memories with friends on Street Fighter 2. EA Madden, NHL were great. Mortal Kombat 3, Earthworm Jim. Really loved Shining Force and Shining Force 2. Both epic games.
@Jokerwolf agree, NVIDIA Game Stream is great and I use it on my Shield a lot. It baffles me though that Nintendo wouldn't want this technology available on the Switch. It would open a new market for PC gamers that wouldn't mind being able to play some games in a portable mode from anywhere
Playtonic should probably reconsider doing anything on Nintendo since Japan has a really strict immigration and refugee policy and want to continue to maintain their sovereignty.
@Devlind Yes I know, those of us that believe in sovereignty, border control and rule of law and not the globalist movement are all xenophobic, racist, misogynists that just don't understand the plight of others. The point of the executive order is to try and know who is coming into your country and why. It's not a right. Europe is on its way to drowning under refugees because of their policies.
A new game, IP made for the Switch. Make it good and not a stupid gimic game. I don't play many games from Ubisoft, so not really interested in their old franchise games.
@Al_Godoy fully agree about not getting most AAA newer games on the Switch. If the Switch maintains sales momentum throughout the year I think we will begin to see more games from these studios made for the Switch. All about sales though. I would really like to see sports games supported on the Switch. I don't like basketball games but I would get football, baseball, hockey and soccer or a combination of some
The only AAA western market games the Switch should try and keep are sports games. Have a football, soccer, basketball, and baseball from either 2k or EA. Most other AAA games won't see the light of day, but western games go by the same formula and most are stale. The Switch can gain a lot of third part support via original games, it just needs to sell well in the first year.
@JohnGrey sorry, wasn't really arguing, just emphasizing why X1 in the new Shield TV's are more than appropriate.
So when it was confirmed that Nintendo was using a Tegra every bit of me got excited because I thought of the gamestream possibilities and how it would bring in more PC gamers to the Switch. The gamestream capabilities are streaming games from your PC(as long as you have an Nvidia graphics card) to the Tegra device, in this case the Switch. Imagine being able to stream PC games to a the Switch both docked and handheld mode. Yes you need good internet.
@JohnGrey there would be no point putting a stronger SoC in the Nvidia Shield TV. It does everything it needs to do and appropriate high quality Android TV games are far and few between. Nvidia does a good job getting custom ports for the Shield Tv, their Gamestream tech is fantastic and their GeForce Now streaming works great
@Paddle1 I expect in the future you will be able to buy just an upgraded handheld without needing to get the dock or more Joy Cons. I would think this could get the price to $200 or less upgrade
Neither the pro controller nor the Joy Con have headphone jack. So only way to have headphones connected to the system when docked is either Bluetooth (no news on what you can connect via Bluetooth) or connecting to the docked Switch tablet directly (far from ideal)
As long as the Switch gets off to a decent start over the next year it will begin to pull developers away from 3ds onto the Switch system. Once the 3ds is mostly done with major new game development the Switch will take off even more. I
Come Holiday season the the Switch needs to come bundled with either Splatoon or Mario Kart and also have 1,2 Switch preinstalled for $300. Or another bundle with just 1,2 Switch plus a Pro controller or another Joy Con set for $300

@StevenG no, you can stream games you own from your PC to the Switch
Re: Alienware's Impressive Switch-Like Concept UFO Wins Best-In-Show Award
If Nintendo would allow NVIDIA's game streaming capabilities on the Switch, this thing would be pointless.
