All lies. We all know that EA is just trying to cover themselves so that if it fails, they can say, "See, our audience isn't there!"

Going into this with little to no expectations. So they can't let me down again.

I would love it if this were the case. There are a sum of people who don't buy handhelds anymore (though I would gamble to say it's a small sum, look at the combined 3DS and >new< 3DS sales) so it would be good for people to jump back in to the franchise.

Plus a little extra hardware power never hurt anyone.

Edit: Forgot to mention 2DS. Poor thing.

I read a comment somewhere here but I'm going to echo: NintendoLife, you should do a poll to see who's having Switch problems. I can't take part of it, though, because I still can't get my hands on a Switch.

I may be the only one here hoping for another Wario Land title.

I hope it's available launch day. I didn't have the money to snap it up until the day after the presentation and now I can't find one anywhere. Get them out there, Nintendo!

Paraphrasing but isn't "taking a piece from every [Nintendo] console and handheld" a bit self-explanatory? They're most likely not trying to confuse potential buyers of the Switch's main selling point: play however you want, even on the go.

I don't think Masuda was alluding to codename NX at all here. It seems like he's trying to damage control what PokéPrez said about making games for the still unknown system.

If codename NX isn't a handheld, they won't make games for it. But they could always use the teams they had for Pokémon Colloseum/DX and Battle Revolution.

Man, why did Tomodachi Life have to become a select as soon as I switch over to the digital version to give my sister my retail copy? I feel like they were like "it finally earned enough sales because of this guy so let's discount it".

Well I did not have my hopes up. But I agree with the people who said this "info" should have came months prior with or around the cancellation of the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions. I also agree that they should have not even supported consoles in the first place. PC games should stay PC games (here's looking to you, Minecraft).

And people will still expect it to cost less than $300. I swear people want Nintendo to go bankrupt. Even if they have that enormous and fabled war chest, it won't last forever.

I think, for the most part, that most people get banned from spoilers and phrasing. What the Big N needs is real moderators who will listen to people, specifically in the NA region.

I didn't say it wasn't hardware. I said it might be a OS but I didn't say it was one. That's an opinion. This is my opinion. You didn't say I think NX is a game console. You said it was one. That's stating opinion as fact.

Does this mean that Windows is hardware? You are saying that because it says dedicated game system that it is hardware, correct? Windows is an operating system but it isn't hardware.

It's like you are personally trying to get under my skin. Your 'analysis' is more opinion than fact because all you are saying is 'since they've done this before, they're gonna do it again' and yet you refuse to show me HARD EVIDENCE as to //why your opinion is stronger// and then you show me that. Are we even looking at the same picture? System doesn't automatically mean hardware. Also, what Iwata said is entirely up to individual interpretation. It's what business-types do. So saying I'm wrong because interpreted it differently is wrong in and of itself. NOBODY IS RIGHT OR WRONG. DO YOU GET IT NOW?

Like I said, I think that NX may be a gaming operating system due to a statement given by Iwata about the lack of game releases on both of their hardware and him comparing that to iOS and Android whereas anything made for one device can work on many others. You read over that and called my opinion nothing more than a 'knee-jerk reaction' when isn't yours the when you are assuming that the new platform is a new console or hardware of any kind? Just because has happened before doesn't explicitly mean it will happen again. So yes, I'm dropping your 'conclusion' to 'opinion'.

Also, stating opinion as fact is another reason why you are being rude.

That's quite rude of you to say that my opinion is based off nothing when I have already presented why I thought such with my own facts. You say it as though I pulled it from thin air. Are you not doing the same with bringing up what may being considered a precedent? You say that you have ample evidence that makes your opinion the 'stronger' one. Please present it.

I'm not discounting my 'stance' because I have none. Facts are facts: this is always true. But for whatever hasn't happened yet, it's all opinion. This is what I'm trying to get at. Your view that the NX is a console is your opinion just as my view is an opinion. Just as Dipso said, extrapolated data is part fact part opinion.

Sure it's a reasonable conclusion. But that doesn't mean that it's the most likely one. If anything, judging by what Iwata was saying about Apple's iOS or Googles' Android (I believe it was an investors meeting), NX /might/ be a gaming OS they are working on and it will appear on their future devices. This is all just speculation, however, but to me it seems like a more reasonable conclusion.

I saw nothing of him specifically referring to the NX being the next console. It may have been speculated by the community that it was, but I rather wait for more details.

Except they never said it was their next gaming console. "Game Platform" does not equate to "Game Console". Just look at Steam.

Nintendo never said their mobile games would be free-to-play. I guess this is an assumption since the most successful games on mobile are free-to-play.

I'd play this but I wish Team Shanghai Alice ported their games over to Wii U and/or 3DS. Imagine playing Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and Imperishable Night on the gamepad!

EDIT: I honestly think Team Shanghai Alice could've made a fighter game better than From Soy Sauce ever could.

Rovio, if you're really shirked for money, at least give us quality games. $50 is too much for a mobile phone game you can pay for next to nothing for on the original platform.
