Looks offensively generic.
Whenever I hear anything about Kemco, I think about Drakkhen on SNES. I played that game a ton as a kid, but never completed it. Tough game as I recall.
I've never played one of Kemco's RPGs. ...I've still got too many DQ and FF games to get through first. Nothing against Kemco, but their RPGs do seem rather low priority compared to pretty much any other game I could be playing.
Oh man... I usually hate on Kemco real easily but... Something about this is givin me some real Sega Saturn Shining Force vibes. I might just make the mistake of picking this up.
Another Kemco RPG Maker game, they are just turning in to shovel ware

@Gitface Drakkhen was the absolute bomb. As offensively generic as these games are, Drakkhen was offensively brutal, and I loved every second of it. It was a rental at our videostore and I rented it quite a few times.
Never got very far, but it had those D&D vibes that I hardly ever got to experience.
Off to GOG to see if it is sold there. UPDATE: It's on sale even!
You lost me at Kemco. But, you win because you got the click.
@Troll_Decimator "offensively generic" sounds remarkably first-world.
@Bunkerneath Kemco has been around since 1984. How have they stayed afloat so long if their games have been so generic??
@nhSnork Only first worlders are perpetually offended, so that much should be obvious.
@JustMonika @Bunkerneath Don't say that! It's Ryan's favourite developer! This is why he's always promoting their games (and definitely not for financial reasons).
El-pee-zhuh
El-piss-ee-uh
El-pee-zee-uh
Yeah they should have focus tested that name just a tad. No matter how I pronounce it, it just doesn’t sound good.
I miss 1980’s Kemco! Good thing we can still access that stuff.
@JustMonika because "generic" is hardly a valid accusation or doom sentence in the same world where annual sports releases frequent the charts most of the year.
saw the headline just now, immediately thought "kemco" i see i was not wrong
I actually don't hate on Kemco. I have more than I'd like to admit on mobile, and a couple for console. Many are pretty bad, especially older ones. Some are incredibly average. Some are actually pretty good. Like JRPG comfort food. Not a full meal, but still fun.
That said...who the heck is PRE-ordering a Kemco game...
I actually have this one downloaded lol. I haven't played it, but if anyone wants an impression I'll fire it up. It has an ad-supported free build too, if you want to try yourself.
@Daniel36 It legitimately kind of creeped me out as a kid too. It had a very dark and foreboding atmosphere.
