Re: Opinion: Marvel Cosmic Invasion Caps Off A Great Year To Be A Superhero Fan

@DennisReynolds

Fantastic Four had a budget of $200 million and a marketing cost of $100 million and only made $510 million meaning a minimum loss of $90 million. Theatres take roughly 50% off revenue.

Super man had a budget of $225 million and a marketing cost of $125 million. It made $615 million meaning it lost at minimum $85 million dollars.

Both were flops and if DC was so happy why did they send it to streaming early and why is James Gunn worried Netflix will fire him?

Edit: Also for completion sake

Thunderbolts lost about $100 million
Captain America 4 lost $500 million on the low end making it the biggest box office bomb of all time. If they had put Captain America their Captain America movies night have helped, but at least Doomsday is course correcting.

Also while we don’t have direct numbers for things like Ironheart, Zombies, or Eyes of Wakanda. We know they didn’t chart and that Disney hated Eyes of Wakanda so much the studio went out of business before it even aired. Also Wonder Man is DOA. Making this the worst year to be a superhero fan since Captain Marvel

Back to back isn’t the problem. It’s that every other CoD game this decade has sucked.

MW3 was originally going to be DLC but Blizzard just couldn’t charge anything less than $70 for effectively one extra map

It’s almost impossible that BI7 wasn’t in the same boat.

Do your Modern Warfare 4 next year, but then something new please? Or heaven forbid stop the teleport release. BO6 wasn’t in need of being abandoned so soon.

Re: Talking Point: Six Months Since Launch, How Would You Rate Switch 2?

As someone who still has my launch day switch 1 and 2, I’ve come to appreciate the simple and user friendly UI and mouse controls might be the best gimmick they’ve ever done.

DS touch controls were done well for a lot of games, and waggle…sucked let’s be honest, but unless you count the hybrid as a gimmick the mouse mode is awesome.

As for the games yes I’ve come around on key cards and don’t see them as an issue, and games like Hitman and Bravely Default show good 3rd party support.

Honestly the only controversy with any teeth so far is that Nintendo really gave Metroid to people who hate gaming and it shows.
